Interesting read. I'm glad it's working out for you and you are putting important things first such as Family. Question if I may ask: What sort of crafting are you doing? Are you selling the stuff you make or making just for your characters/friends? So far I like the system where it's not as tedious and mind numbing boring to grind crafting XP... however what matters the most is the outcome: Does player crafting really have a place in game other than crafting for yourself? Although I have dabbled in crafting I am waiting for the masses to give a verdict whether it's worth it as a business model in game.

I really don't agree with one name for all of your characters. They each have their own story. They are not a big family of eight, they should have their own history and last names. I think BW should rethink this whole legacy system.

Chat bubbles are needed. I got used to them in SWG. It makes it much easier to see when someone is trying to call for a heal or something like that. For socializing its also fun. It's a moot discussion if you like them or not as long as it's an option. It's a win/win situation so I can't see any reason why not to introduce this feature.
