  1. What's the point? IF they listen and learn, with same faction warzones, you just helped the person you'll be fighting next round.
  2. How? Soresu Form now increases melee and ranged defense by 1% per point ? Because Retaliation now increases melee and ranged defense by 1% per point. They increase the buff to 12 seconds, but it was up all the time anyway.
  3. Blind it is! Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.
  4. Do they not post them, or am I blind?
  5. Randomly deciding who the victory goes to on a forfeit is the stupidest thing ever. for·feit to lose or become liable to lose, as in consequence of crime, fault, or breach of engagement. If a team does not have enough players for the warzone to progress they should not win. I'm tired of queuing up, getting into a warzone, having the other side not have enough people in it, and then getting 0 rewards and a defeat. If they didn't have enough players, let them lose. I know that here on planet earth the forfeiting team doesn't win, and I'm pretty sure it works that way on all the planets in the Star Wars universe. I honestly wonder what you folks are thinking about when you're making the rules to things things.
  6. It's probably more common in this game because there is a lot still wrong with the game. Tab targeting is terrible, so you have to click on your targets, which is easier if you're backpedaling. Also, the camera spins around to face your front as soon as you let off your mouse, so if you're running away from someone you can't see behind you and target (or at least I haven't found a way to get it to not rotate). And if you're a scoundrel or operative, people shouldn't be showing their back or side to you.
  7. That's a serious question; I'm not trolling. Granted, when 1.2 comes out, 3.5-4 months after the release of the game, they will be addressing some of the animation issues that up to this point have just been stupid for the Republic, but they're also introducing more same faction warzones. It's my understanding that the new warzone will have same faction fighting and Voidstar will have it as well, thus making the warzone titled Civil War the only warzone where the same faction can't fight against each other. When I rolled Republic, I did so because I wanted be the underdog, I wanted to be outnumbered, I wanted to always be able to find someone to fight in world pvp. And I am in fact outnumbered; I play on a server where the average population of Dromund Kaas is about the same as the Republic Fleet (26-28 as I type this, with 56 on the Imperial Fleet). But this hasn't gotten me the pvp I desired. Instead I found planets far too large and segregated to be conducive to much world pvp, where you have to go out of your way to look for a fight most of the time. Ilum, the one place where that might not apply to, has been de-incentivized. And, as some sort of a cruel twist, I often have longer warzone queues because while 8 imps battle it out against 8 republic in Voidstar, and another 16 imps fight among themselves in Huttball, I sit in queue with the other 3 Republics who are online and queued. So, with pvping opportunities being at best equal and pve opportunities being far greater for the Empire since they have a higher population (setting aside the subjectiveness of which stories are better, which, from my limited exposure, I've tended to enjoy the Empire story lines much more), what reason is there to not add to the snowball effect and re-roll? The one benefit, if you can call it that, to being a Republic up to this point is that I don't play Huttball all day long, but that's going away, so what's left?
  8. That is exactly what happens. Mortar takes like a full 2-3 seconds to start doing damage, like your cast bar is almost completely done before you do any damage.
  9. Yeah, huttball has a ridiculously long hallway you have to run through for absolutely no reason.
  10. Or make the distance you have to run once you zone in shorter I get on my ship, I pay credits to fly to Belsavis. I wait 3.7 hours for Belsavis to load. I pay more credits to fly to the daily quest area. Hey! A Warzone! Loading...... Oh, it's Huttball. Oh, it's already started and we're down 2-0. Guess I better hurry. Running.... running.... Get to the shield. Closed. Waiting........waiting..... Cool it's open! What? bah! AFKed out, back on the fleet.
  11. Hey, I've been needing a new pair of sunglasses - where did you get those rose colored ones?
  12. Rakata belt isn't a dropped piece. It's crafted. It has 3 stats. Aim, Endurance, Absorption (the tanking one). If I crit an augment slot. it will have an additional stat, or bonus to a previous existing stat. The level 49 BoE belt has 5 stats. Aim, Endurance, and 3 secondary stats. If I crit that and get an augment, it can have another stat or bonus to an existing stat. The Rakata Belt and Bracers have a little more Aim and Endurance, two stats that aren't very useful for tanking. Aim, because it just adds a tiny amount of threat, Endurance, because without trying I'm sitting at around 20k and nothing hits remotely that hard. Therefore, I would gladly sacrifice a little Aim and Endurance for way more secondary stats that will offer me much more survivability and threat.
  13. As a tank, even if I did crit craft my rakata belt or bracers, they still wouldn't be as good as the lvl 49 boe belt and bracers.
  14. You guys have succeeded in the exact opposite of what you are trying to do. It's clear that you're trying to make it so everyone doesn't have biochem; however, you're forgetting that the other crewskills are WORTHLESS. After reading yet another patch where there are no Armormech changes, I'm so close to switching to biochem. No matter how much you tweak biochem, there is still no point in being an Armormech, so why would I continue with no hope in sight of it getting better?
  15. As to your first part, in this case, I don't think you need to know the rest of the gear. For tanking, unless I'm completely mistaken, Shield > Accuracy. All the other stats are the same on the modable one, just better. The second part, I do agree. There are some very good items you can craft, but it seems like the best craftable items are the ones you learn at 400 crafting. The stuff you learn post 50 is all really lame. As to the augment. Yes, if you get a bop schematic from an operation, make enough of a bop item that requires two bop items to craft, you can put an augment in it to make it essentially as good as a piece of modable gear. Not really seeming balanced.
  16. I get a schematic drop for a BOP Tanking Helm. I'm thinking, sweet, I'm still using a modable helm, this has to be an upgrade. On top of the the Zal Alloy and Durasteel, it takes 8 Ciridium, a Biometric Crystal Alloy (bop), and a Self-Perpetuation Power Cell (bop), so this has to be an upgrade, right? Energized Super Commando's Helmet 88 Aim 102 Endurance 40 Accuracy 23 Absorption My orange custom helmet with Armoring and Enhancement from DAILY QUESTS and a Mod pulled from PvP gear. 97 Aim 107 Endurance 39 Shield 25 Absorption It isn't even close. My customizable one gives me 9 more Aim, 5 more Endurance 2 more Absorption and 39 Shield instead of 40 Accuracy than a Schematic that dropped from an Operation (possibly HM FP, but I think it was an Op), uses 2 BOP items, and the item itself is BOP. This is my reward for being an Armormech? I can craft myself inferior gear? Seriously, every day that goes by I get closer to going going biochem. Please give us at least a hint as to what changes are coming to professions and when we can expect them.
  17. I noticed you failed to address the part where you stopped doing that. And even if your reading of it was more correct than mine (even though I understood his intentions and you didn't) it still doesn't mean you have to be a jerk to someone who is voicing their opinion about an ability that he feels is a bit redundant.
  18. He never said there was. He described the same thing, just differently. He describes two rolls. He separates the crit and the shield referring to the fact that if crit trumps shield the shielding gets knocked down. Again, read what he wrote. The amount of damage done is pedestrian because of our armor. He doesn't say our reduction is pedestrian. Actually, what's not? These attacks aren't heavily mitigated already? You just said they were. The benefits from avoiding them aren't reduced to the point of being trivial? Perhaps, but you don't actually make an argument for why that isn't the case. Yes, he understands he's being hit less, but he's saying that those are the type of attacks that he is already really really strong against. He doesn't need extra defense against wet noodle attacks. No, the fact that you react like this is simply evidence that you honestly have no reading comprehension. He wants Oil Slick/Smoke Grenade to be replaced by something that defends against Force/Tech attacks. It isn't an unreasonable request. He isn't saying make it even better, he is saying that in its current state it increases what is already our strongest point. He would rather see a CD used for something that we aren't already very strong at. Do you realize that when you throw a smoke grenade down while a caster is attacking you it does absolutely nothing? Or when you're playing your Scoundrel, that Oil Slick does nothing for your backblast and blaster whip?
  19. I think it would have just been better if they said "Take some R&R and get back to me later" and then the next quest was to click on her again. Making you leave and come back was rather pointless.
  20. Even if they didn't, I'd still remove it. They're terrible, and it is way easier to blow stuff up by spamming a few normal missiles on it than having to use the torpedo. When you aren't in full control of your ship, having to keep your mouse cursor over a little target for an extended period of time can be more trouble than it's worth.
