This argument is ridiculous. As someone has already pointed out, the only goal of whining about this is making the content easier. If you want to get through content in the game, YES there is an expectation that you aren't an idiot and can figure out basic encounter synergy. And YES, you are expected to have gear that reflects the difficulty of the encounter. Saying that any person with sub-par gear or a garbage spec should be able to progress though content as well as those with the required gear and a decent spec is plain stupid. Doing this would be the biggest "participation award" in an MMO ever, even worse than WoW, and that game is an entire participation award these days. Oh you logged on? Have an achievement and some "good" gear.
Saying the enrage timers should be replace with HP regen on bosses would be a 0 net gain for the game. Replace one mechanic that requires you to achieve the goal in a certain time or it's futile, with another mechanic that requires you to achieve the goal in a certain time or it's futile.
If you expect to get invited to groups, you can be expected to bring at least a minimal level of competency to it. You don't want to do dailies/spend credits to get better gear? Then, and I quote, "UNSUB TIL FIXXZ!". It will just be one less wipe that people who actually do the work will have to suffer though, trying to carry your lazy ***.
