    Thanks for the info, this new forum layout is going to take some getting used to D: Messed up all the colours QQ

     

    Indent doesn't seem to be working hopefully they will fix this soon so the guide is easier to read again!

    Your not alone hommie, i couldnt even cancel my sub since there was no dam button before this patch...after? WOWZER A BUTTON...and its AFTER THE SUB DATE....if thats not a effin scam i dont know what is.

     

    I got one more month andim sure ill prob be right where ur at man.

     

    which i know isnt enough time to make any considerable changes....but meh im not asking them to anymore.

     

    THEY KNOW WHAT GAMERS WANT...well lol...bioware u can keep saying that as u watch ppl walk right out that door.

    rename legacy, rename player name, thats ridiculous suggestion if u ask me.. if you dont want that other people see your legacy, just hide it..

     

    I am hiding it at the moment... if I can never change it, it will be hidden forever. What a waste of such a great system.... :rolleyes:

     

    I can't be bothered to explain it further because if you read the OP you would understand where I am coming from.

    Someone made a ticket and got this response:

     

    Submitted a ticket, they said they were working hard on implementing a function to change Legacy names in the future. So taking a droid at his word i guess we will see some way to change it down the road.

    ^^ The same goes for running mission and gathering tasks, if you want to increase your level, select a harder difficulty range.

     

    These can be found in the top right of the gathering/mission window.

     

    Grey wont increase your rank ever

     

    Light Green won't increase your rank more than it will

     

    Yellow usually increases your rank

     

    Orange will always increase you rank by 1 sometimes even 2.

    I really must say that if you failed to understand how legacy worked you really failed to look. There is a ton of information about how legacy works.

     

    I could though agree that it would be good to change legacy name.

     

    Like 250.000 credits the first time, 2 million the second and after that double the price (4, 8, 16, 32 - million).

     

    It should not be cheap to misspell.

     

    Failed to look?! You clearly haven't read my OP because it explains that the information regarding the legacy system (in-game, where it should be!!) is non existent, at the time the search function was down on the forums and any questions I asked were answered via speculation and not fact.

     

    There is a tonne of information now because people like me who messed it up shared with others how the system works to avoid them making the same mistake we did. Like I said, I was one of the first 30+ on my server and no one really knew how it worked. I waited hours before picking to gather information, yet the information gathered was still wrong.

    Learn new schematics from your trainer, ones rank 50-60 then make these to increase your rank further. When those go grey, learn some new higher level recipes and continue to make them to increase your level.

    They don't need a service to alter your legacy name. It's a legacy.

     

    What they need is a confirm menu.

     

    Also, I'm fine with staying "The Forgotten Legacy". Why? Because i took 5 minutes to look into it and found the 3 ways the title can be displayed. Either add another option or don't. But don't petition to change something millions of others are fine with because you didn't know.

     

    No this is completely wrong, why should I or others have to suffer due to lack of information. If there was more information regarding how the name was displayed and how using a symbol will remove all capital letters then a lot could have been avoided.

     

    As soon as I realised my mistake, I altered my player guide to explain how the system works so others do not make the same mistake I have done.

     

    And also why not? This wasn't intended to be a petition just a small request, you don't have to change your name if you don't like it... but let the players who got shafted allow them to change theirs.

     

    I was on of the first to make it to level 30+ on my server and as such not a lot knew about the system, I kept getting a lot of different responses to how things turned out and how it could be displayed. The majority said as a title it could be displayed as [The Legacy of [name]] I then made my decision based on this.

     

    You simply don't want people to change it because you picked something good and want others who made their choice, prior to a lot of existing information on their server/forums suffer.

     

    There are a lot of things I would like to call you right now, but I wont. Selfish & Childish will do.

    Would Cybertech, Scavenging, and Slicing work well together? I know Underworld Trading is needed for rare materials, but I'm wondering if I could get by without needing Underworld Trading.

     

    I have those three skills on my mian, slicing provides a generous income and is worth taking imo. If you are having troubles finding UT materials on the GTN you can always make an alt and use slicing to fund the rank up to 400.

    Hi guys, its been a while since I posted this thread, I lost it whilst the search function was down. Though it would be great to know what is happening regarding this.

     

    As others have said.. I'm not wanting the ability to rename whenever/wherever I like. I only want one more chance due to the lack of information given.

     

    I updated my newcomer guide to help people not make the same mistake I did. I currently have all my legacy names hidden until a re-name option is available.
