  1. Cybertech and Biochem are the only two crew skills which i am aware of which can create items that require skill in the crew skill to use. For Biochem, they can make reusable stims, adrenals and medpacks. For Cybertech, they can create reusable grenades. For both classes, there are Blue, non-reusable, options, but for the Purple, reusable, items, you need to have a minimum skill in the crew skill to use them.
  2. I really like the crew skill system in the Old Republic, having at least one of each gathering, mission and trade skill. As a result, i have ran numerous missions, crafted numerous items and gathered large quantities of raw components through harvesting and mission. As i seem to spend a fair bit of time on crew skills, even if it is only to have my characters run missions, i have noticed that there seems to be a real lack of crew skill enhancements. The only enhancements to crew skills which i am aware of are those assigned to each of the companions, i.e. T7 has a +2 critical to slicing, etc, and having the companions at maximum affection. Apart from those, i cannot think of anything else that is available to help improve crew skill performance. To address this issue, would it be possible to have crew skill specific items/armour for companions? What i mean by this is that rather having a chest piece with 100 armour, 20 endurance, 20 endurance and 20 power, you have something that gives 0 armour, etc, but instead gives a plus to a specific trade skill critical or efficiency or processing time or something similar. These items could be given as either mission rewards (preferably crew skill related) or else simply as new recipes available from the various crew skill trainers.
  3. I have noticed recently that unknown schematics on the GTN are appearing fully, while those known are shadowed. This change is really helpful as it helps to stop you buying schematics that you already have. However, with the volume of schematics on the GTN, it can take quite a while to trawl through the various listings with the relevant crafter character. As a result, would it be possible to add a filter option to the GTN to filter out known schematics? That way you could quickly narrow your list of schematics to those which you have not learned yet rather than having to trawl through dozens of pages of ones that you already know to find the few that you don't.
  4. I have encountered the similar problems as everyone else. I have levelled up a number of characters to 450 on the various support trades and i have found that returns are significantly down from previous tiers and, as a result, sending companions on these crew missions is a quick way of losing all of your credits! In addition to the problems mentioned by everyone else, however, i have also come across the issue where you do not receive a failure message or a reward and the only thing you can do is click Accept. I have logged this as a fault and it is being looked into, however, every time this happens, that is another couple of thousand credits, or more, which have been spent for no gain. This above issue also got me to think about the results which i had been having on my missions and i cannot think of any occurrence where i have received a blue or higher money box from a slicing mission. I have had a number of missions return with schematics or purple missions with a green credit box, but never a blue one. As a result, is it the blue credit boxes which have been failing foul of the fault i mentioned? At the moment, due to the very poor returns i am receiving, it certainly appears so! Hopefully this issue will be addressed shortly because it is making the post 400 crew skills something for those with large credit reserves when it shouldn't be. Eldrake.
  5. Dear Scorekeeper, Why has Scorekeeper deserted me? I am good, law abiding Transdoshan, yet nothing either me or the Herald does seems to gain me favour in your eyes. Instead of gaining the prominence that a hunter of my caliber deserves, i instead have to watch weak soulless companions quickly surpass me in your eyes. Why?! Why do you hate me so Scorekeeper? I know i am shamed in your eyes, but your Herald interceded on my behalf and we have since gained many points from countless near impossible hunts. Yet despite this, i feel that all my conversations with the Herald fail to find favour with you. The Herald, being a kindhearted soul, even tried to give me gifts which i could then use on hunts in your honour, but even this seemed to meet with scant approval. I am at a loss, Scorekeeper. Tell your humble hunter what it is that you want him and, if required, the Herald to do and it shall be done. Anything! Just give me a sign of how to gain the favour which you appear to show to everyone else! Your devoted servant, Qyzen Fess, companion of the your Herald
  6. Dear Bioware, Greetings! I want to thank you for making me the super intelligent, sexy, cure all doctor and general technical expert, that my Jedi buddy cannot seem to do without. I mean, it isn't hard to understand why he can't stand to be separated from me, after all, he is only mortal! However, please, think through what you have done to me! I am a doctor, yet you seem to have guaranteed that any time push comes to shove and things are starting to hit the fan, I am the one that our fearless leader will call for! It is very flattering, and great to be wanted and all, but i didn't sign on to be target practice for all manner of nasty creatures and Empire goons, thank you very much! Okay, okay, i know i said that i said i wanted to be famous and all, but enough is enough! I can be famous by just sitting on the ship like the rest of these freeloaders, don't you think? I mean, some of those layabouts haven't left the ship since the got here! It just isn't fair! Here i am, trying to quietly work out a way to become rich and famous that doesn't require me to release a deadly plague on the known galaxy, but can i get five minutes to finish my plans? Can i what! It just isn't fair. To conclude, can i please ask you to give me a break! I don't think i am being unreasonable. I have done much more than i intended to do on this journey already! I am a strictly a make love not war, type of guy, please try and remember that! Yours, The galactic renowned doctor and playboy, Tharan Cedrax. Ps. Holiday has asked whether she could receive a couple of new outfits soon? She is starting to become mortified about being seen wearing the same sets of clothes all the time. If you could see it in your heart to program in a couple of extra outfits, i am sure Holiday will be very grateful, or at least i certainly hope she will!
  7. Would it be possible to have Bonus Missions operate independently from the Mission that leads you to them? I have mistakenly completed the original missions on several occasions which has resulted in the bonus mission disappearing, which is very frustrating, particularly when you have spent a lot of time working on the a bonus mission series. If breaking the link is not a viable option, would it be at least possible to have a warning when you attempt to hand in the linked mission, i.e. "By completing this mission X, the bonus mission Y will automatically be removed from your mission log, do you wish to continue?" Eldrake.
  8. I have to agree that this would be a great idea and it would be one of the few things i could see me buying from the Cartel Market. Eldrake.
  9. Many thanks for the latest State of the Game, it is appreciated. The only thing that i would ask, is to either have them more frequently or else longer. From reading the this thread, there are a lot of issues which people feel very strongly about and are clearly upset that there is no mention of their particular topic in your update. While i am sure this does not mean those issues are being ignored or forgotten about, the lack of information can lead to people coming to such conclusions. While i appreciate it would be impossible to answer everyone's issue in your State of the Game address, not without it being pages long at least, you could cover more topics through either more frequent updates of the same length or else longer ones on the current cycle. For short updates, you could, as you have in this update, address several specific topics on a rolling basis, i.e. PvP and SGR this update, game mechanics and bugs in another, etc. If the schedule was outlined in advance, people would then know when to expect a State of the Game which would be on the general subject they were interested in, even if the exact issue isn't addressed. For longer updates, you could stay on the current cycle but cover more issues per update. Again, due to the number of issues that people have, a schedule for these would also probably be helpful as it would be difficult to include all topics in any kind of detail while keeping the update at a manageable length, so a schedule would let people know when to expect their topic to be in the State of the Game address. So thanks again for the latest State of the Game address and i look forward to reading your next update in the future. Eldrake.
