  1. I think BW or whoever should refund anyone wanting their money back because they haven't got their early access invite yet (which wasn't supposed to start until tomorrow anyway and doesnt really matter that much in the run) because if history is any sort of teacher - this little issue (assuming it IS an issue) is likely to be the smallest of such issues that will crop up as the game evolves and if people are going to throw such tantrums and cancel orders over 5-days worth of early access - let them go - BW will save billons in customer care costs by not having to pour through frivolous customer care complaints, which they can then reinvest in the game - improving it for reasonable people like me to enjoy.
  2. Im at work. Then I'll go home and eat dinner, spend time with the kids and my wife...THEN I'll log in and see if the server que will let me play. If its going to take too long, I'll try it again tomorrow. I really do not understand the uproar over early access - I've never known an MMORPG to give early access in the first place but lets say you end up 5 days behind the first people in.........so what? You dont suppose there will be opportunites to make up 5 days worth? I played EQ2 for over 6 years.....who cares about a day here or there? In first doesn't mean you get to stuff first either - I'll be off work from Friday through to the 3rd - If I had a mind to I'm quite sure I could get well ahead of somone that got in on the 13th but that has to work each day over the next two weeks. Is it about "Server Firsts" - you know what those do for you...nothing. - and I don't even know if SWTOR has that feature. I'm quite sure BW are sitting scratching thier heads wondering how in the hell such a simple perk for pre-order, meant as a token gesture, has turned into such a malcontented brawl.
  3. Hey Chris - Im Allan, this is not my first MMORPG but it is the first where I'll get to use one of them flashy light-sticks. I'm not very shy and I usually have an imperious opinion on just about evrything. Hope you have fun with your first MMORPG.
  4. At first, I thought the lack of a log / parse ability was a bit of an issue but actually - it may just be an awesome idea. When I think back to how many threads, flames, gripes, threats to quit and epic tantrums were thrown over which EQ2 class had the highst DPS or whether it was burst or overtime - examining parses, boasting about topping the parse, arguing over who was OP ......yadda, yadda. It might just be the best idea not to have a log and parse ability - might save a lot of relatively pointless bickering down the road....but I digress... I'm not sure which class will have the highest DPS - but I'll put a plug in for the Inquisitor / Sorcerer AC. My guess is the Inquisitor will start out underpowered relative to their ability to take damage - my Beta experience seemed to confirm that. BUT my guess is (and I didn't get high enough to check) that the Inquisitor DPS curve will start a rapid ramp-up just following say mid-level cap. So over their level-lifetime, an Inquisitor will start out squishy and vulnerable, progress to slightly less squishy but still vulnerable, and end up mostly squishy but able to put down some serious damage - provided they're given appropriate cover from tanks and other meat shields. I could guess that perhaps say a Bounty Hunter might be the opposite - they might start out with a high damage ratio relative to their level and peers but towards level cap the balance will have shifted - perhaps not because the BH lost anything but simply because the Inquisitor DPS curve ramped higher, faster. Just a guess though.
