  1. This will forever change and screw with your hearing... is it just me or during the opening music for the last year or more, the 5th soprano chant says "Jack in the Box" Once you hear it, you won't be able to unhear it
  2. I would like to see Khem Val separated from Lord Zash and have her as a companion, or have Khem kill her and consume her.
  3. I am kind of glad that we people that sub that Doesn't do Operations Doesn't PVP Doesn't do Warzones are getting some content appreciation. Don't get me wrong. I think you folks that want to experience that type of content, should. There are those (Including myself) who enjoyed the HK-55 interaction during chapters 1-9 of KotFE. I was hoping he was going to be a companion and better yet, the ability to play him as a character. Sounds like fun. I wish BW would stop with the carrot dangling though. "If you remain a subscriber until chapter 16, you get the bonus HK-55 chapter" dangle dangle dangle. That's ALL I GET for being a faithful subscriber since the beginning? Unlike these fair-weather players who drop their subscription at at the first sign of the nerf bat, then subscribe later so they can whine about the game and quit again. I am happy the game STILL HAS PLAYERS!
  4. On my characters that are level 58 - 61 We did Tactical Ilum flashpoint and most everything in it (Since it was level 65 mobs) dropped either (no level required adaptive armor) or (level 61 green / blue / purple gear) with the only mod slot being weapon crystals or crystal slots for the second weapon enhancement items. It's nice that the sabers have open slots for "random loot items" A lot of my orange items have already been stripped off of my characters because the stats on the new stuff outshine the oranges 4-6 times the stats.
  5. My wife and I did "Battle of Ilum: The False Emperor" last night Wife: 65th level Trooper Vanguard (Tank mode) Companion: Lana (Rank 10 influence) as Tank also Gear... Store bought stuff + gear from doing chapter I - IX Me: 58th level (bumped to 65th) Jedi Consular (Seer: Healer) Companion: Nadia (Damage, until boss fights, then switched her to healer) Gear: Oranges with 140 mods in them. We completed it (not sure because of the 4.0.2 patch note that said they fixed it for Solo) During the fights, the two tanks (wife and comp) were able to hold most of the aggro, allowing my companion to damage without being attacked too much. I kept a bubble on her, and the tanks, and found that the companion kept pulling the aggro from the trooper. The only tragedy we had was from the companions dying from the STUPID. Yes... my companion constantly froze after completing an opponent, I had to micro manager her while healing everyone, so the damager would DAMAGE and not just stand there. I am taking shots to the head from a random "non-tank-aggro" enemy and she just stood there. Another annoying thing was... in DAMAGE mode, Nadia, when told to attack, does her force "Slam" first and then jumps into the battle. Shouldn't she do that "second?" All in all it was a successful run, there were some close calls on boss fights that had health get low, but I was able to recover and get them healed up before the next round of heavy damaging abilities hit them. Yes, the battles were tougher, I actually broke a sweat mashing my healing rotations on the tanks to keep bubbles and HOTS on them. Solo, this would probably suck, but paired up with another player, the companion nerf didn't hurt so bad, the fights take longer and there is risk... but at least we weren't dying all the time.
  6. Both my wife and I knew this was coming.... We played our asses off after 4.0 went live for the week before the actual release. We knew in our hearts that us being able to play more SWTOR than we usually did, the nights of getting home from work and actually planning to get "stuff done" on our lowly 50th level characters and do the content that was a little difficult for causal players, was coming to an end after reading the patch notes. I am a causal player that: Doesn't know rotation in the game for the characters (I know 'some' but my wife is a button masher, spray and pray!) Doesn't have gear (oranges with store bought mods) Doesn't have Legacy level or influence with my companions that would amount to any + in damage. Yet, the game that I put aside for a while, again became fun. Then this patch... I read the patch notes today after work... both of us sighed, were thankful for the 3 weeks we got to play... and probably will go back to farming crafting items.
  7. I still had 3 character story lines (Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Agent) that I haven't done all the way through... of those 3 the Agent was the only one I hadn't even created a character yet. So I used my 60th level freebie to do the imperial agent... and now, just like you... I think I might have enjoyed the level 1 to 50 story line. Well I still have 5 more character slots, I should just create one with this new system of game play and level him up.
  8. That would be me... even though I have beta tested and played since the beginning, my highest influence is "10" on the character I put more time into. I don't have all purple gear, with tons of legacy bonus perks and are a casual player. This change is perfect for my style of MMO game play because it means I won't be frustrated trying to get a quest line done without asking for help from people I play with to "take down this hard boss at the end." I know there probably is a good 60% or so of the servers that are "not" me and have maxed out characters with tons of presence and legacy perks that make one uber, but for some of us that just play to have fun and enjoy the story lines play out, this was a good patch. Please don't pull out the nerf hammer!!!
  9. I actually find the 4.0 KotFE fun with the way it is. There still is a risk that you can get killed, and that your companion can't heal you quick enough (I, however have not tried being a healer to a companion damage / tank so I have no opinion on the reverse yet). No more fretting if your loot is good for your companions, no more buying mods for companion slotted armor / weapons, and being able to play content you skip because it was kicking your *** every time.
  10. I was on my 28th level smuggler, and invited my wife to a group since she was 39th level Jedi Shadow and was doing heroics on Tatooine. I started the planet story arc (purple triangle) to start the Czerka weapon quest to rescue the boy from getting killed in Anchorhead. The quest let me go through the green door, but when I got to the kid and clicked him, got an error message stating something like "You cannot do this as a guest." The only way to continue the quest was to drop my wife from the group and then re-enter the quest. Interesting.
  11. My only question is this (I don't have an opinion yet, but...) What happens when you are on the quest for 50+ characters that take you to low level planets (like Hoth, Tatooine, Voss) that have these pockets of 55th level gold star mobs that you must interact with for your quest, but you've been reduced to the planet's level?
