  1. So far every redeemable code reward and promo reward has been account bound. However, as this reward requires a character to be on an origin server, I wonder if it will be a one time thing, not recurring on new characters like other rewards.
  2. If you're still wondering, I created a new character today and got the tauntaun on it.
  3. Before you say anything, understand that I have seen the other threads. I'm not suggesting other mini games, like Pazaak (though that sounds neat). I'm not suggesting something similar to fishing. This is my formal suggestion that BioWare implement fishing into the game. I also hope that being formal and specific will draw more supportive player attention to this thread. I'm not going to name the various mmos that include this activity, but they are out there, including that one big mmo, and I have enjoyed fishing in each game I have tried. This would likely be a gathering skill, and a 4th free crew skill. The fishing mechanics should at least include the player being near water, and having to interact with the game every so often in order to fish up loot. Optional and interesting features include fishing quests, fishing skill levels, fishing for rare objects and codex entries, fishing gear, a cooking crew skill, etc. Why is it a good idea to add fishing to any mmorpg? Because many players love to do it. I have never enjoyed a mmo gathering skill the way I have enjoyed fishing. This will further draw gamers into the Star Wars universe, a good thing for both BioWare, EA, and the players themselves. Users could also feel less bored when they are in a waiting situation. Instead of unenthusiastically flipping through a social networking site, twiddling their thumbs, or god forbid, running in circles in-game, players can actually do something neat. This would not make the game a clone of another game, it would simply just be adding an excellent commonly-used activity. The bodies of water across the galaxy are going to waste! If you want fishing in The Old Republic, support this thread!
  4. I got all 8 in 11 tries. I am extremely fortunate, and wish you guys the best.
  5. I agree, they are awesome. Companions are cooler than pets, and zombie companions are cooler than normal companions. I am actually working on these before I grab my crystal, since, for the sake of vanity items, I already have the razer black-green crystal and the stats on the event crystal can be matched through other means. I would love it if Bioware made this easier though. Then I'd grab the event crystal and all of the customizations for sure.
  6. For me, I got this quest and I only had to infect friendly players. The reward was some antidotes. I can not get the quest again for some reason.
  7. This is pretty bad. I'd love to have all of these customizations, and 160 DNA seems like a fair price, but with them being random, people sometimes need close to 1k DNA just to get them all. People are paying tons even to just get one specific customization.
  8. I think divorce would be a good idea, especially as new companions are released in future patches. It seems like they could just keep current romantic voice-overs and apply them to same gender characters you create. I romanced Vette on my light side sith warrior, and I don't remember her saying anything that implied I was male. Though, You have to consider this would make every companion with this option bisexual, and that may mess with the game's lore. It's probably harder to implement than we would think for a number of reasons. At least there will be same-sex marriage in this month's legacy update. I believe they did say future companions would have the option for same-sex romance, so maybe the next companion added for each class will be either homosexual or bisexual.
  9. Crossfire is inactive for me when I play as well. I can toggle crossfire on and off and see performance and gpu load differences when playing other games, but there is no difference when playing swtor. What's up?
  10. I also use two 6850s, and crossfire completely stopped working for me while playing SWTOR after the transition from beta to launch. I would love to have help with this.
  11. Actually, I tried that method in the past, and found that the game wouldn't launch when I did. I'm sure I didn't make a mistake, as I checked and double checked and checked again the text I put into the file. In fact, I just checked my .ini and the new AA line is the same as what I put in the past. I'm lucky they had AA in this patch, because whatever they did, they got it working for me now.
  12. I have no idea why my max fps went up some, but it isn't really noticeable since my fps when moving my camera around and doing stuff is the same. There probably was not a performance increase, but maybe a cap fps increase for a few people for some reason that we may never know. Sounds like your gpu fan is struggling more to keep your card cool. If it is intensely loud, I suggest looking in to your temperature. 80 fps max (while standing still). While actually playing, I only get around 20-40. If my minimum was around 50, I'd be thrilled. (And it would be if crossfire worked) I have vsync on to kill the screen tearing I was getting, and it doesn't drop my fps anything too noticeable.
  13. 16gb ram, 3.2ghz cpu and just one HD6850 (1gb gpu). I would have better performance I'm sure if Bioware would allow my crossfired gpu to benefit the game. (It's been force-disabled since launch?)
