  3. It's funny that you guys are still trying to make something of this. BioWare said it was nothing, and now they've removed it from the game it really is nothing; give it up already.

  5. 16-Man hits harder, simple as that. Seems like your tanks aren't doing their job properly; healers shouldn't be getting hit by Mega Blast, it's a single target attack that should only ever be hitting a tank.
  6. I've also seen it too; he was on the left, adds spawned on the right. Our group positioning is much tighter now and this hasn't happened since, but, as I alluded to in my earlier post, it's our groups belief that the add spawns are in some way tied to the positioning of players, not the boss himself.
  7. All these models seem to quite heavily favour Alacrity; under model conditions I can see why that would be, but how viable is such a build in an actual Op situation?
  8. I initially had this same issue. The tank needs to be up the ramp (and more towards the centre than the side) by the time the adds spawn otherwise you run the risk of being closer to the right side doors and spawning the adds there rather than the back.
  9. Any proof of this? I've stood in front of the boss for a fair while talking, explaining, and whatnot; I still got the text pop ups on cue and noticed nothing untoward with the timing when killing him.
  10. Somewhat excessive, but considering this attack could hit tanks for over 10k pre-3.0, perhaps not that excessive. There's no reason anybody but tanks should be getting hit by this attack, and seeing that you also died to the AoE circle of one of the droids earlier, I'd say your tanks need more practice.

What makes the repair droids stop heading towards the consoles to repair and start "repairing" raid members instead? ~40% of the time this happens to us (mostly to our Sorc healer) and we can't figure out exactly why. Damage and taunts cause it (I once area taunted a repair droid before it began its channel which caused it to start "repairing" me), but what can cause them to spawn and pretty much immediately head for our healer? Other times the droid has run almost the whole way to the console and then turns and runs for a healer. I've gone through combat logs and our Sorc is not interacting with the droids in any way prior to this. The only thing I can think of at this point is that this is a bug and healing threat is somehow causing the droids to target healers instead of the consoles.
  12. People might construe your comment to mean they can take any sort of ragtag group and, as long as they have ample healing, survive; which is far from the case. This boss is still available at level 55, and; well I saw PuGs forming for this on fleet prior to 3.0, so...
  13. If you don't have adequate DPS you're going to hit enrage and die.
  14. Star Parse has several features that it'd be nice to see in Parsec; ability uptime, most recently parsed logs, the capacity to look at specific sections of a fight are a few. What I personally dislike about Star Parse is its convoluted interface and combat log viewer.

But it's no longer updated often, Drew hasn't been on CodePlex in almost three weeks; the inferior Star Parse has already been updated to display the new bosses and phases, while Parsec hasn't even been updated to fix the stuff that broke when 3.0 came out. I want to continue using Parsec, it's the better program (for the most part), but if it's going to stagnate what can I do.

  17. You're confused. I'm talking about using Crushing Darkness before Force Pull, not in place of it. The cast time of Crushing Darkness means it hits at the same time as Force Pull.
  18. CD now has a 30 metre range, making it useful for some pulls.
  19. What happened to the set bonus providing 4 stacks upon using Force Pull? Stacks still don't fall off, but it'd make me feel a bit better about pulling with Crushing Darkness.
  20. It'll only be the last bosses that drops them, just like previous tiers of content.
  21. Force Stasis/Force Choke can now be channeled while moving. Tanks not having to channel at all is still of some use, but it's not particularly exciting.

If you take the tier two utility "Disjunction" (increases the durations of Force Shroud by 2 seconds and Force Speed by 0.5 seconds) and the tier two utility "Emersion" (Force Speed grants Emersion, removing all movement-impairing effects and granting immunity to them for the duration) the duration of your Force Speed is increased to 2.5 seconds but the duration of the Emersion effect still only lasts 2 seconds.
