  1. I'll have to check my Sith Marauder and see if she got Acolyte. I know that Inquisitors get nothing. Perhaps the Imperial Scholar was removed during beta and someone forgot to replace it with Acolyte? ....? I spoke with a Founder today and he said that quite a few titles were removed before the game went live. I myself do not understand why titles would be removed. Now, with the new Achievement system in place, collecting titles is even more desirable. Perhaps a Bioware rep will take notice of this thread and answer this for us?????????? Anything, it's said, is possible. If it doesn't happen, I'm going to call and find out. Some of you may scoff at the idea but I've spoken to reps before concerning billing, technical, etc. and cleverly got them to answer questions about the future of the game. Just tidbits of vague info but speaking to them regarding this isn't revealing future game content, etc. I really want to know and I'm very tenacious. I'll report what I discover.
  2. I know absolutely nothing about game design/coding, etc. Yet, I find it hard to believe that something CAN'T be done to fix this issue so that there would be no backlash. I would hate for something like this to prevent the introduction of exotic species into the game.
  3. So much of what you stated was interesting but the quote above is something I absolutely agree with. Cyborg should really not be a race unto itself. Theoretically, any of the playable races could have cybernetic implants...not just humans. Included with the new Customization process should be a way to allow cybernetic implants for all races available for play.
  4. I am curious to know why Sith training on Korriban no longer get the Acolyte or Imperial Scholar titles. I was doing some research on swtor-spy.com and discovered that apparently, at one time, Sith received these titles. The only title available to young Sith is Apprentice. I think that should change...or change BACK. Having the Imperial Scholar title would be awesome for Inquisitors. Why was this changed???
  5. We seem to be getting off topic a bit here lately...probably my fault. One reality we must face is that Bioware is in business to make money. The Devs don't necessarily have ultimate control of what's developed and when. Their are men in suits upstairs who want to see only a lot of $$$ signs. I highly doubt the quality of the game, what features the community asks for (or anything about the community) is of the slightest importance to them. Also, the Devs in ALL MMOs take a lot of bashing from the community. I find that those who enjoy a particular aspect of the game rarely ever praise the Devs for a job well done. The whiners, however, are surely heard. We, as a community, need to give the Devs our positive feedback in addition to our our negative...and if we do leave negative feedback it should be done in a mature manner rather than "you Devs suck!" or similar absurd comments. I'm most of us have seen that sort of immaturity in forums or in-game, especially in-game. The Devs are gamers like us, let's treat them as fellow gamers. Well, that's my 2 cents..err, credits. We might want to consider moving this "sub-thread" somewhere else and allow polling and discussion of species, etc. continue here. Just a suggestion.
  6. WOW!!!!! That is cool beyond words, both her success and your meeting your young relative for the first time. I am familiar with the joy of meeting a relative for the first time. My congrats to her for such a success! But, ummm...I still don't get the Canadian part....
  7. I think a lot of players don't realize how important our input is. So many do not bother with reading forums, or game news, etc. Encouragement is needed. Why not promote your own thread? It's an important one! Blow your own horn! I want Bioware to know that we are watching and what our expectations are, especially those of us who sub. They get our $$$, we have the right to make our wishes known. I am so glad your started the thread. Smart move. Spread the word people! Let your guildies know about the poll.
  8. I see your point my friend. I like variety, customization, the ability to create something unique rather than having a cookie cutter toon. All we can do is make sure that our voices are heard. I, in game, broadcast that there is a poll here and I encourage people to hit it. May the Force be with us!
  9. Pessimist much??? LOL. However, I hear you. So many MMOs promise us a slice of Heaven with an update or expansion but sometimes it winds up more like a huge hunk of Purgatory. Force be with you.
  10. You recall correctly. I just followed your link and read the entire interview. It is clear that the new race will NOT be included with the RoTHC expansion. Also, the addition of Server Transfers will not be implemented until sometime later, just fyi. There is some good stuff included with the expansion, though.
  11. Good point, 'cause after that comes second, third...eighth!!! I feel SWTOR is on the uprise, perhaps due to the fact that Bioware introduced the F2P business model. I remember hearing at the release of the game that it wasn't worth the subscription price. I remember one complaint being that "you have to run everywhere." LOL! In what MMO do u not have to do so??? At any rate, in retrospect, I wish I had not listened to the whiners and waited almost a year to make the leap. The Cathar race will be okay. I keep imagining Cathar Sith Lords so I'm warming up to the fuzzies. May the Force be with you...always.
  12. You are correct. The book was published in '06 so any official expanded universe lore, etc. would naturally have an impact on the continuity and accuracy of the printed work. It's been 7 years...I think it's time for an updated version, don't you? Perhaps I will approach the authors about that. It was written by two women, both SW fans but there were a great many people involved in it's development. I suppose the deciding factor would be whether or not such an update would be in demand. I wonder what the SW tabletop RPG population is like, as far as numbers are concerned. Never played it myself.
