  1. Ask anyone and the process of doing the dailies has become an exercise in repetition rather than challenge. We all have our shortcut route from one to the next and sprint through the objectives without even thinking about what we're doing any more. (Yes, I do have a question) Doing the Rakghoul plague dailies was not boring because there was something new to do each day. Here's how I felt about doing Rakghoul dailies... "Woohoo, what's new today!?" (And here's the question!) Can you devise a way to reward people who don't like grinding just as much as those who are willing to grind for rewards? Please?...
  2. Generally speaking I have 2 armour sets I have to switch between when I'm out doing HMs / Dailies and then my Queue pops for PvP. I would like a toggle on my character sheet that instantly switches the armour I'm wearing based on two separate paper dolls. Dual speccing would be nice but this would be awesome! Think you could do that?
  3. I agree, though... They could just give us a piece every time we play a WZ and we could all be wearing it tomorrow and then we could just PvP for fun instead of gain? I dunno...
  4. Not a child, stupid or trolling... If you're getting your arse kicked in PvP, you need Comms and not credits. Your idea is kinda right... A pro gets paid to play or compete but winners make big bucks and those that suck make enough to buy their mac and cheese for supper. I'm one of the solo players who gets his arse kicked repeatedly and I'd take the gear that helps me compete over some credits I can get from any activity any day.
  5. Only for US - don't waste your time if you're not in US...
  6. I suppose that's why they're working on cross server queueing. And if that's what it takes for me to be able to queue up with people who don't quit before the first goal, then I'm all for it!
  7. I believe the penalty for quitting needs to be upped. Quitters are hurting the PvP, not Bioware. I say quit up to 3 times in a day and you're ok, (Phone call, baby falls of the countertop, emergency bathroom break) after that you can't queue any more that day. OR - Wait until the ranked games are in... Leave stuff the way it was till then. Ranked games go with the new rules and tough quitting restrictions. Yeah, that sounds good!
  8. Wrong, comms are for everyone so that losers can gear up and get better. Credits are a prize.
  9. Tank specced BH Powertech.
  10. You're wrong about the "Not a matter of skill" I made fully geared PvPers look like nubs on a number of occasions before I had any WZ gear and it was truly rewarding! Yeah, when 3 of em spammed me while stun locked I'd drop like a sac of potatoes but skill has a LOT to do with it and saying otherwise indicates something... Not sure what... Don't get me wrong, getting spanked by a pre made is frustrating but I take my small victories of survival and move on to the next match. Still come out with comms.... And comms that are good for everything PvP not just this tier or that tier. Forgetting that the best gear is now easier for solo players to get now?
  11. Not all quitting is equal... I quit smoking = good. I quit WZ = sore loser. My point of view and I'm not in UBER pre made group either. I do my best and I always get something. In fact it's a LOT easier to get BM gear now so you can gear up to UBER standards easier now. One COMM to rule them all!
  12. I agree with you, I always queue solo, lose many of my WZ matches and some are by huge margins but I always come out with something worth it. I get medals from doing what I can instead of quitting. I laugh at quitters because I've probably come out ahead when they leave the WZ. I wind up winning about 30% of the WZs where quitters quit and then we come from behind to win. Makes me think the quitters are dead weight anyhow. If you kill people, heal people, defend people you can't leave a WZ with nothing. Don't use med pacs if they're too expensive for you. I'm a tank and I never use em... If I don't have a healer on my ***, I'll die! Such is life. Respawning is not the end of the world especially since your armour doesn't take damage like beating your head against a HM FP boss over and over. In fact it's sometimes beneficial to respawn over hiding and healing yourself to 100%. I'm on the side of rewarding for contribution not for being a squeaky wheel.
  13. I have to disagree, it's the seasoning on my burger that makes the whole game more interesting rather than a grind. I feel like I'm actually doing something rather than just reading quest objectives and doing them, the story makes it fun. But it is NOT the reward. Otherwise I wouldn't mind doing dailies and getting my story reward over and over and over again. Same reward as yesterday but YAY! I get some story! New and fresh story might keep a daily quest tolerable but they haven't gotten to the point of making dynamic developing story in an MMO yet.
  14. I get ya! And I agree whole heartedly... You want to RP a character that doesn't help the old man get his power converters cause he really doesn't care if he starves or not. Or what ever the case may be. That's fine, I'm not suggesting doing anything that forces you to feel like you have to do it. But just like with the legacy system why can't there be two ways to get your perk? You can buy species / class unlocks or earn them... So why not do the same for the social stuff in the game? You can buy it if you skip quests... Or earn it if you do them. You actually see my point without knowing it. I want the different speeders and outfits for my silly little collection that no one sees but me and the others looking at my Mako at the PvP mailbox on the space station. But I'm forced to play like a grinder to get them... Just like you said. I'm punished if I don't grind up credits or legacy the way everyone else does. I'd rather take the 3 hours play time and go explore the planets I skipped but I won't wind up with anything cool at the end. I'll have to go queue up and PvP to earn credits or grind out dailies for the 30th time or do an FP that I don't feel like doing. We all know there's a lot of whiners out there saying they're bored at 50. I'm not one of them. I just wish I could mix it up with some of the content that they already have in the game and still come away with something for it. I agree with what everyone is saying about having something fresh to do with your alts. BUT, the whole class story is something fresh to do with my alts... And as you've all noted, doing your class quests and a couple other extra curricular activities will still leave you with skipped planets on an alt... And perhaps with my Alt I won't bother doing 100% but my main is the one that I want to do everything with.
  15. I'm a 100%er who wishes that my time spent playing was rewarded the same as a grinder (Or at least close the gap on the rewards between the two play styles). I guess I feel, there's enough reward for grinders already. But there's a lack for the explorers and questers out there. We'll level up just fine but be left in the dust with Credits and Legacy XP at the end of the day. When you look at what is earned by grinding and compare that to someone who explores the variety of content in the game, there's a HUGE gap. I'm more entertained by playing the variety, but feel a little ripped off when someone is buying all the social gear, novelty pets and speeders available with credits they grinded instead of actually going out seeing / doing it all. I seriously think it'd be more rewarding to get these things as quest rewards rather than gear you'll toss in 2 levels and it would give 50s a reason to go back and do quests! You want the princess leah bikini for Mako? Go finish a quest chain on Tatooine... Not "Go grind for credits and buy it"... Make sense?
  16. BioWare made the fourth pillar "STORY" a big part of what makes this game different and better. I agree that it has done this BUT, I find myself in a position where I've missed a lot of the rich worlds, environments and stories and have no "Perk" incentives to go back and do it! I come across so many players who raced to level 50 so they could play endgame content who are bored of doing dailies on Belsavis or HuttBall but I note that they skipped a lot of the content Bioware spent money and time making because it was grey in their quest list. Enough skipped content that I'm sure they'd be busy for another couple weeks at least going back to do it if they got anything out of it. Going back for holocrons is a pastime of the newly 50... Why not going back for missed quests? Being a bit of a 100%er (I like to smell every rose along the way) I did every quest i could find (Heroics and Bonus), did a couple of FPs at the beginning, daily space missions, and some PvP along the way. Before I even finished NarShada Everything that was coming up was grey and everything that was on the next planet was already grey for my level. So I can do these quests now because I like the story but I get nothing else (Piddly credits, no XP, no Legacy XP no gear of any use for even my companions), while grinders are raking in millions of credits and legacy xp by rinse and repeating. Maybe I'm the only one who wants to experience the whole story from beginning to end as written by the team at BioWare and cares about getting nothing extra for it but I feel it should be mentioned. And I think there was a sizeable investment in the making of the world artwork, map making, voice acting and animating for cutsceens. no? Seems a waste if most people skim past it and then space bar past a handful of endgame daily quest givers. I understand that they are trivial because my level now makes the quest too easy but legacy is trivial too... It doesn't impact your endgame in PvP or PvE. If I could at least get decent legacy XP from going back and completing unfinished - non repeatable quests I'd rather do that then dailies. I don't want to skip story with spacebar. I want to hear it, it's why voice actors were paid... On this note, I wish there was an easy way of differentiating repeatable quest that you've done from those you haven't before starting the conversation. So in summary, I want you to give me a tangible reason to go through everything you invested in creating, rather than just the self satisfaction of knowing I did while others are sitting with 10 times the credits and lvl 35 legacy already from daily grinding. Love the game, there's my 2cents. ... Oh and thanks for making two ranking systems in the PvP ranking for solo and group separate. I asked for it and you probably already had that planned but thanks anyway!
  17. I enjoy the PvP aspect of this game a great deal and in fact have participated in it more so than the PvE end game even though I'm not a PvP server type player. The upcoming ranking system interests me because it adds a nice competitive aspect to the system and I'd love to participate in it but I don't have a "Premade" PvP group and so I could never rank at the top even though I frequently achieve good results in random grouping. I think there's a LOT of people who would benefit from a sorting mechanic that allows you to show rank based on people who queue as a group and those who queue solo. This would allow people to compare their performance based on SOLO pvp or GROUP pvp and no one gets left out. Hard core premades still get to top the charts and SOLO PvPers get to compare themselves in a fair ranking system. I don't know if recording two sets of stats, (One for stats when you queue solo and another for when you queue as a group) or if you just add two columns to the stats that you can sort by like "Solo Queues" where you can sort the column from high to low or low to high based on the % or # of times PvP was queued solo and the same for group queuing column. I don't know the best way to make this possible but I know I don't like being half way down a list just because I join the many soloers to PvP. That's my 2 cents.
