  1. So let's say.... crit crafting.... what would you rather have? a) 150k per character b) 1 mill server wide I'll say for me it's a)... I have 4 characters right now, and at least for 2 of them I don't really care if they crit more often, i barely craft with them, I would have spend 300k on the other 2, if it was server wide, I would most probably not buy it... And If that example was with Affection Gained, well then... I already have a couple of character with every single companion maxed out, I don't want to pay for them!
  2. Well, I used to play the "MMO that must not be named" and when they offered free server transfer one of the restriction was "no guild transfer"... So, when Bioware announced character transfers I just assumed that... no guilds. And if you think about it, if your whole guild transfers to a fuller server, making the creds to fund a new guild and bank should be easier... Edit: I ended up owning a couple of guilds and guild banks when I decided not to transfer and poeple were just giving them away for less than half the original cost
  3. Well.... let's see, I want to level an alt doing WZ, so I buy that "perk" for him/her, next I want to level another doing space missions so I buy that for him/her.... If these were global unlock by the 3rd or 4th toon it would be: - Create toon - insta 50! I can see why it's per character... if you want to have ALL the perks for one character, well, you'll have to spend serious dough, this "perks" are meant to help, not do the job for you.
  4. Mmmm... I was under the impression that when you ctrl-click the item to bring up the modification window, if the mod in question, let's say the armoring, has a legend next to it on the tooltip that says (chest), then that piece carries the set bonus. If that's the case, then the battlemaster chest piece bonus I just got for my brand new 50 BH can be transferred to an orange husk of my choice. I interpreted not as "newly added gear" but as "gear that you buy from 1.2 onwards".... BTW, I'm not at home so I can't check if my theory is true...
  5. Now that's a good idea!.... in fact, make it a daily!... yes! let's see how long can the community keep this daily going... that'll be awesome!!
  6. I think there should be a good 10% to 15% in there of people saying they got stunned when in reality it was a root...
  7. And it's the reason you should saver your CC breaker for when the Resolve bar is full. I used to think resolve was totally and irreparably broken, and really hated all the L2P guys, and then I read this post: Rome-fu's Resolve Guide .... boy oh boy.... has it made a diference, a huge diference in how I see the game and use my cooldowns, a much more enjoyable experience ever since.
  8. I see where you are coming from, just 2 issues with it: 1.- 6 to 8 medals for post 1.2 is pretty standard, nothing special for some one doing their job, the example you just gave is a little misleading, it's ONE game, against what sounds as a pretty undergeared/disorganized team, anecdotal "evidence" should never be construed as fact that the whole system is flawed for everyone. 2.- after you downloaded 1.2, you didn't lost Valor 60, your gear was still yours, your victories were still your victories, etc, etc, etc, what does it matter if other have them now without working for them, PVP is about playing better than other player, coordinating better, you have that, no amount of patches/nerfs/whatever will ever take that away.
  9. You have to do absolutely NOTHING extra to accomplish it, you do the daily 3 times (getting the benefits for doing so) and voila! the weekly is done, why should it give more? Now, if it involved extra steps, say, win 15, play 50, earn 150 medals, etc. that would be a whole other story. It's just an extra incentive to do 3 daily missions in a 7 day week (and on day 3 it's as if you did 2 daily missions, woot!)

Could some one explain to me what's the big deal with the way the weekly works now??? You have to do absolutely NOTHING extra to accomplish it, you do the daily 3 times (getting the benefits for doing so) and voila! the weekly is done, why should it give more? Now, if it involved extra steps, say, win 12, or earn 120 medals, etc. that would be a whole other story. It's just an extra incentive to do 3 daily missions in a 7 day week (on day 3 it's as if you did 2 daily missions, woot!)
  11. I do agree with much of what has been said here, but a question arises: What would you do to achieve at the same time: - Leveled playing field for veterans and new comers. - Sense of progression and achievement for veterans and/or skilled players. - Incentive for players to stick around and play. - Not break the PVE side of the game with better (and easier) to get gear. ??
  12. Oh! don't worry... let's give GW2 a couple of months, it'll be full of this posts. And the game will be "dead" with "no one playing", "all the customer base pissed", "so many missed opportunities", "we were lied to", "too many glitches", "my computer doesn't run it" and "zero communication from the devs" in 2 weeks flat... 3 weeks before "everyone" has blown through the entire content with at least 2 alts and the game is stale.... and let's not forget the ever entertaining "wait until (insert game here) comes out, that one will teach you!"..
  13. Riiiiiiight because it took a year to have 1.2 out, eith new warzone, operation and flashpoint.... mmmmm.... interesting Guys I don't think it's a post from the past, it looks more like an alternate universe where years are 4 months long...
