  1. No question in my opinion this was the hardest 16 man fight I have been a part of in 2.0. The amount of little things that could go wrong resulting in a wipe was by far more then any other fight.
  2. I agree that most guilds still will not be able to full clear nightmare content but I was more talking about progression. Its going to cheapen every nightmare kill after the new tier of gear comes out, just sucks after putting so much work into it that the value is lessened. I hate progression that becomes more of a time race then anything. But we will have 3 months in total to complete the content so I guess that is a fair amount of time, I just wish the new Ops dropped 75 instead of 78, that would have kept it more fun.
  3. I agree with the gear problem that will occur with the new operations. I know from my guilds stand point, if we start getting 78 gear we are going to tear through stuff that we are on the cusp of now pretty easily and that really sucks. Most nightmare clears coming after the new operations will come down to whether guilds have the time to run both the new HMs and the NiM stuff. It really sucks to be honest but there is not much we can do about it. Post new operation clears of NiM will be more prestigious in my opinion at this point.
  4. Actually the New HM Ops will drop a new tier of gear (78 Orconion Gear or something) so it would be actual progression this time around. The current versions on the PTS actually are quite a challenge, there are some easy bosses but there are some really hard bosses as well. I would probably actually say we should track progression on this if they leave it as is, but if they nerf the hell out of it then no. Just my thoughts.
  5. the reset for today is at 7am EST so you won't make it at 8am EST, that will be for the new week.

  7. I'd agree with you on the first 4 bosses, you could pull it off in 72's no prob maybe even a bit less. However the last boss throws that all out the window. The healing and dps check on the last boss is extremely tight, You can probably pull it off with a really good group in min maxed 72 gear but for most groups that boss will be impossible without fully min maxed 75 gear. I don't think that boss will stay as is but if it does its going to be a huge road block for a lot of teams. That being said I hope they don't change it, it will be a good challenge for a lot of guilds for a little while.

  12. I've been wanting to make this post for a while but have restrained myself from doing it due to the fact that it may come off the wrong way. Basically I just wanted to remind everyone that parsing is a great way to determine the maximum damage a player can do but is very misleading when it comes to the actual skill of the player. There are a lot of people who can parse very high on a dummy but can't get nearly the same dps on a boss fight. I just don't want people to get the misconception that people who may parse say 2800 are worse players then people who parse 2900. The reason being is that the person parsing 2800 might be able to also parse 2800 on boss fights, while the person parsing 2900 is only pulling on average 2600 on boss fights. This is something I've seen over and over again in this game. The best way to learn and know your spec is by getting the experience in the operations and flash points. This will help you out WAY more then spending 4 hours on a dummy. The dummy is good for learning your rotation and max potential, however putting into practice in an actual raid setting is a whole other ball game. As I tell people in my guild, spend your time running flash points and learn to manage your energy and your dps up time on multiple bosses, bosses with adds, bosses that have stoppage during the fight and so on. This will make you a far better player then spending all your time on a dummy. This is just my opinion and I wanted to get it out there to the community so that they have a different perspective on what a good dps player is. Being consistently good at dealing with mechanics and keeping your dps consistently high at the same time is the true meaning of being a good dps player. This was by no way meant to offend or discourage anyone on this thread because I like competing on the dummy as much as the next guy, its a lot of fun. I just don't want new players as well as experienced players falling into the trap of believing that your parse is the end all be all of skill. Also I don't want people to waste their time on the dummy when they could be improving in actual boss fight situations. I want to see the overall skill go up on this server so that we can compete with all of the others. This recent round of nightmare content has been kind of disappointing for all of us but I think we can get back to having some truly competitive raiding going on by multiple raid teams but we need to make sure the correct information is out there. I hope this was helpful to some people, and thank you for reading. Loggus
  13. We are still looking for the best of the best on the Ebon Hawk. If you are looking to do Progression raiding on the republic side and you think that you have what it takes then please apply. Underworld-Alliance.com! Hope to hear from some of you soon!!!
  14. Actually we only really got 3 sets of boots and a bunch of shadow gear, and we don't have a shadow. we also lost our best DPS Sythise 2 weeks ago who is the highest parsing sentinel on the server. So we had to bring in a replacement that has never run the nightmare content and is still in half 69 gear. So all in all it really didn't help us all that much. Also to me, skipping ahead to get gear when your not able to meet the requirements currently only makes sense, really don't understand why you would waste a lockout when you know you can get gear. I do however understand why you wouldn't count it towards progression. So your comments are kind of unnecessary and don't really hold water. Thanks for the gratz though.
  15. Actually we only counted it because we killed it again this week and have been every single week. Posting this weeks screen shots now. 16. He isn't coming back as far as I know. He has a new job and some other things going on that won't allow him to play enough to commit to a raid team anymore. We are really trying to take raiding on The Ebon Hawk to the next level, so if anyone even has alts that they are good with or are looking to make a change we will accept anyone with the skills ready for Nightmare content. We are getting a bit more serious about our raids and our requirements so that we can compete with the best in the world. Anyone who thinks they have what it takes please visit our website Underworld-Alliance.com!
  17. We are looking to expand our progression team to allow ourselves more variety and availability from players. We currently have a 7 man group (we just lost a melee dps) who have been running together for a long time. We want to expand our team to include 12 players. We currently have all HM content cleared and on farm and are working on Dred Guards in NiM TFB (we have however skipped and downed OP 9 consistently). We raid Friday and Saturday nights starting at 9 PM est. What we need are geared (nearly full min/maxed 72 gear or better), high caliber players who have cleared HM TFB and HM S&V and ideally have run some of the content on NiM. We would accept all three roles, but we are mainly looking for good dps that do enough to meet requirements for enrage timers. Our current tanks would rather be dpsing, however, and are extremely good at it, so a couple exceptional tanks would be quite nice ;-) Tanks need to be able to hold aggro, have proper stat weights, quick reactions, know when to use cool downs, and have very good awareness and placement on bosses. Healers need to not only know their class and manage their resources well, but need to be raid aware and have quick and proper reactions to mechanics. Any potential recruits will be asked to accompany us on a trial run and provide parses (dps only). We use and require mumble. Microphones are also required (communication is important!) What we are offering is an alternate spot that could potentially be a main spot on our raid group, depending upon performance. We want to be able to have ideal group composition for each boss as we progress, or have people available if one person cannot attend. Basically, we will sub players out depending on requirements for individual bosses. We are looking to fill our regular melee dps spot as well. For this spot, we need someone parsing at 3000 dps or better. UWA currently has 4 ops groups. We are recruiting specifically for our main progression team, "blue team". We have much to offer as a guild, good people, guild events including pvp tourneys and auctions, alt runs of HM ops, and random SM or classic ops going on at all hours... just to name a few. Please visit our website (Underworld-Alliance.com) for more info. Contact Farius, Loggus, or Sedna if you are interested in joining our progression team. Thank you!

  19. http://www.torparse.com/a/329747/time/1373351610/1373351911/0/Overview got 3012 on this one. Was pretty sweet.
  20. http://www.torparse.com/a/325882 Same Hybrid build that I have been doing, just haven't parsed in a while. I think it'll come out to either 2988 or 2982 depending on you crop it.
  21. The point of this really isn't the fact of how much an advantage it gives you. The point that the person who has started this thread is making is that a lot of the PvP'rs who were whining about other guilds using exploits to win warzones are in fact using the gear exploit. I think they are just trying to say stop being hypocrites. Doesn't matter if its a 1% advantage or a 100% advantage, an exploit is an exploit. If your using it, it discredits you from whining about others using them. Just wanted to make that clear and if I'm wrong please let me know. Thanks.
  22. We actually skipped the DG's tonight to give Operator IX a shot and boy did they buff that fight. The overall enrage is cake to beat but the burst dps required for data cores was insane. We were able to clear after about 15 to 20 pulls but it was truly a nightmare worthy fight. We were only able to get one pull in on Kephess before we had to call it and they upped the damage on that fight big time. I personally love the nightmare content, its a lot of fun!!!
