  3. Just get rid of the 15% expertise potion and powerup that you can pick up (replace power up with heal) BAM! Biochem is no longer insanely "overpowered"
  4. FFS Assasins don't lack burst. It just takes a bit to build up and relies on a couple of procs.

    So I did it.

    Yeah that's my biggest gripe. THEY HAD (FORMER) WARHAMMER DEVS WORKING ON THE PVP FOR THIS GAME, yet somehow managed to not transfer A SINGLE GOOD THING ABOUT WARHAMMER PVP CURRENTLY to this game. It's astounding. If they had just put the current Warhammer cc system in place for this game I guarantee you the pvp in SWToR would be 10x better. None of this being knocked back and rooted, waiting for 4 seconds (or more) to be unrooted, only then to be stunned. Then maybe your resolve bar is full, but it fades within 8 seconds so you're cc'ed for another 8 seconds, etc.

    So I did it.

    A side note: PvP (besides the gear inflation) in Warhammer isn't that bad right now. Yes, the engine still sucks, but there isn't any of this ping-pong ball syndrom ******** (since knockbacks trigger a knockback immunity), you can't be stunned for longer than 3 seconds without having 30 seconds of immunity right afterwards, and you can't be rooted indefinitely since you also have a root immunity timer. Why a mmo doesn't realize that NOT LETTING YOU CONTROL YOUR AVATAR is a bad thing absolutely astounds me. Also, market research shows that the vast majority of WoW's monetary success comes from "carebears," or the more casual crowd. Hardcore raiders are NOT what drives a model like WoW....more something like EvE.
  7. Medals are easy to farm on an assasin. The 2 protection ones 2.5k hit 2.5k heal 5k heal 75k dmg Killing blow Solo kill 25k dmg 10 kills 25 kill By my count that's 11 medals that are easily gotten, with a variance of around 1-2 per match.
  8. Actually, sin's can have a TON of burst. It's just not right out of stealth. Here's how: - Build up 5 stacks of discharge - Get the 2x VS buff - Pop recklessness - Discharge - can easily hit 4k - Maul (EW should've procced by now) - can hit 4k as well - Assasinate if you can (also can hit 4k), otherwise shock (if you have the chain shock thing it can also hit for almost 6k counting both shocks) - Assasinate if tarket isn't dead -> can hit for 4k pretty easily as well. So that's roughly comparable burst to an operative, with most of it coming in 3-4 GCD's. Also, you can AoE challenge without breaking stealth. As well as ST challenge to help out an ally (though this breaks stealth)
  9. Point. Missed. Melee do not destroy ranged once they get into range (well....technically with the buff stacking I suppose, but ranged can do the same thing). It only makes it so that the melee class can actually START doing damage. And interrupt just stops ONE ability. Any ranged class worth his salt uses more than one ability, though I do love seeing troopers/bh's just sit there when I interrupt their grav round/tracer missle. Ranged is simple. Melee gets into melee range? KB with slow or root. Pew pew. Melee uses gap closer? If melee != jug, cc and proceed to cast your big hitters. But this is more of an issue with the stupid amount of cc in this game rather than range per se. Just that range benefits from the cc a lot more.
  10. Good thing interrupt is on a 12 sec cd. Man is it hard to press that button once every 12 sec. Oh, and it can be cleansed! Yeah, no.
  11. melee skills do not autoface. yesterday some bh I was chasing jumped into that little area underneath the ramps (not the pit) and was just jumping back and forth, hitting me each time. Meanwhile, my melee abilities couldn't hit even though I had him targeted.
  12. a sin's burst is dependent on procs and such. But ppl feel like they have a chance since it's not right out of stealth. Actually sin's burst needs a lot more setup - 5 point discharge, 2x vs buffed lightning, ew proc maul would instagib someone if they all crit. But getting that 5 point discharge takes a while, and the 2x vs buff takes at least 2 gcd's (and lasts for a fairly short amount of time)
  13. So...say you implement a deserter debuff. Everyone who would've left now just afk's. What's the difference?
  14. GW2 goes too far in the other way imo.... from what I understand of it, in PvP it just gives everyone the same gear, correct?
  15. I would suggest learning the difference between "your" and "you're" before you go around calling people children.
  16. Maybe then they'll actually learn to look for information instead of expecting everything to just be given to them. Carebears nowadays....
  17. Well, unlike world pvp this is actually easy to implement. Not to mention that they ALREADY had a version of it in the game. I don't actually believe that they'll do anything meaningful in terms of fixing problems (such as ability delay) until they do it, but for such a relatively simple fix? I don't see why not.

  20. Assume more there buddy. I'm not the one that's so stupid he can't find a dev tracker post addressing this very issue. And why would I need to skirt forum rules for the name Asinine? It is actually a word, you know. Funnily enough, it applies very to you.

  22. If you choose to q in a group (yes, even if it's 2, 3, 4, etc) that's your problem.
