Anyone hear anything from EA about Transfering from a PvP server to a RP-PvP server? I'm assuming at this point it'll be implemented, but paid ....

Equally hilarious are jack offs like this guy who seem to exist on every game whose singular goal in life seems to be to get people to quit MMOs. I mean, who is worse here? Disappointing to say the least. Just saw now, I cant switch between PvP and RP|PvP. Not sure if this means cancellation yet, I want to wait a bit and see if it comes available, but if not, I aint redoing and going through the entire Smuggler story AGAIN and I only play Smugglers. Here is to hope?

Love this game but I only want to play a smuggler. I have other alts sure but A smuggler is my heart. I stupidly rolled on a light EU server and there have not been more than 2 people on Taris or Nal Hutta the entirety of last week and I'm geting close to leveling out just sitting there farming commendations And I'm someone that just won't move past a planet until every single mission is finished, so yeah, this whole server light thing makes progression impossible. No I am not going to reroll on another server. Don't have the time or the patience to relive the smuggler story again. So Im thinking of quitting until Bioware makes it a priority if we are talking 3 months+ but I'd love to hear people's opinions if its like 1-2 months away ... cause then I'll just keep playing my Sith on our EU High Pop server and wait it out since the SIth Storyline won't tip off the smuggler one. I'm sure most of you are much more familiar with Bioware's time tables and would greatly appreciate your opinions. Thanks ahead of time!

No problem with the EU? What are you smoking? everytime I logon, almost all are either light or very light with 3-4 at standard. Remember, our timezone is pretty broad. Europe doesn't just exist in Paris or London.

Yeah I hear ya on that sentiment. I made a smuggler stupidly on a light EU server and finding groups to do ANY Heroics on is damn near impossible at any time or day\weekend etc.... Legacy makes it hard but I think Age of Conan ended up with this problem and they waited a year to do transfers and it bled the game to death. That bleeding also cost the old Lead Developer his job P.S Bioware. They ended up just adding a small invisible period to the end of dual names and was done with it. The new regime also ended up forcing server merges as well as it was 10x easier. First they locked the server for a week and merged the name databases, shut down for 2 days and bam suddenly a dead server had 6 times the people on it.

it seems to take every game months to figure out open world PvP and in mean time, bleed subs. SWG actually had a decent system towards the end that encouraged a lot of team work and centered around player skill over gear. That said, TOR is strong enough for everyone to leave for GW2 and then come back once they hire someone who knows what they are doing. Its like they tried to copy Warhammer -- a game that takes the cake in epic fails for open world.....

I just heard a rumor in game that If I keep playing my morally ambiguous Smuggler that I won't get any special items that Dark Side and Light side players get? Why would you make a smuggler and bounty hunter class and not have neutral gear?

***. Just read this thread as I was wondering about this. I play a Smuggler. A morally ambiguous person to start with. Who got paid an insane amount of money to decide this was a good idea?
