  1. My ops group has cleared hard mode everything, in 4 weeks worth of 8 hrs a week raiding. Quit being melodramatic. SWTOR is the casual raider's wet dream.
  2. Toth and Zorn encounter is fine. I play a Marauder, and run a casual 8 man ops group. We are NOT the top 5%, or even the top 20%, but we got the first boss in 2 hrs worth of pulls. It's not that bad for melee, but the usual "run away a lot" rules do apply.
  3. Comes with the territory dude. I think also that you are remembering other MMO's through Rose colored glasses. WoW did the same ****. Rift is the only MMO I can recall with 10 minute server restarts. Good luck to ya; maybe single-player games or smaller team-based online games would more suit your style and schedule.
  4. As an Annihilation Marauder, and raid leader of a successful nightmare mode 8 man ops team, as well as a successful 16 man raider, I can assure you that the melee difficulty level in regards to Flashpoints and Operations is perfectly fine. It may be that melee just isn't your thing, and that you're better at your trooper. And that's fine, nothing wrong with that at all. But completely neglecting the possibility that you're just not so great at melee is a mistake, and blaming it on the game is just ignorant. It may be that it's a little tougher for melee, but it's certainly not unreasonable.
  5. I don't even consider myself a skilled player (first melee class in an mmo, and only lvl 38), but with one of my guildmates healing me, I can destroy groups of 4 players on a fairly regular basis, as Carnage spec. I don't buy this "Marauder is underpowered" stuff. We do have some glaring issues, and in my opinion most of those issues are shared by all classes (too many knockbacks for example, makign things generally frustrating and unfun). That been said, I do think our DPS is too low for a pure dps class. But I wouldn't go so far as to say we're underpowered. A few teaks would do the trick.
  6. Man, to be frank at the risk of sounding rude, WoW has never been a single player game for those of us who put effort forward to make friends and find a good guild. Im going to assume that this is a lack of knowhow on your part rather than a lack of effort. The best advice has already been given in the post above this one, but to expand on it a bit, it's important to take the time to find a good guild which actively groups together. Even when you achieve that, don't expect folk to just jump up and do things with you until you build some presence and familiarity in that group. Kinda like making friends in real life, you gotta put some effort into it. Also I'd also like to know ur server, I'll come play with you
  7. "Up to 5 days". Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the meaning of "up to" is synonymous with "equal to or less than".
