  1. I'm not the one whom started a thread to try and justify my actions in game. P.S. No one makes me enjoy PvP. I enjoy it for myself. Win or lose. But I'm an adult and don't blame others (or a company in your case) for my own actions. /thread
  2. And those opponents you're killing, it's a fair fight right? I mean they're not trying to actually play the warzone as intended or anything. Carebear PvPer looking for easy rewards by killing distracted opponents from the actual task at hand. Oh and you're hurting your team in the process.
  3. It's called entitlement. They brag because they know what their doing is being a jerk. This is a rational way of flaunting their behavior. It's funny. People want the freedom to do what they want only if there's an incentive to make what their doing worthwhile. It's almost as if playing a game has stopped being a source of entertainment and distraction and more of a second job. Reward vs. Risk/Value assessment motivating their actions in what they do. They blame the game developer for their own actions and will then blame the developer for lack of participation. A lack of participation that their own actions helped to facilitate. It's sad really.
  4. The OP is right. Competitive team sports is all about the individual performance. Like Baseball is all about HRs and Football is all about Touchdowns. The MLB and NFL should give rewards for sacrifice flys and sacking the QB; otherwise, players won't have an incentive to play the game. Bioware needs to look into this for hardcore PvPers. We all know playing the game because you enjoy it, isn't enough.
  5. Seems like a pretty good suggestion to me for early 50s.
  6. Artificers can apparently make a crit/power one. Saw it mentioned in another thread. Not sure if that's true or not. Regardless, I doubled down on power already - so I'm good.
  7. The suggestion is to have power/surge over crit/surge I think. At least by me it is.
  8. Or you could target the healer and not the one being healed. Interrupt and burn the healer down. Or harass the healer and hope one of your teammates kill the other guy because your attacking the healer.
  9. That's about right on the healing part - I'll have to look tonight though for specific percentage. The downgrade comes from the fact that power isn't RNG. It's supposed to be consistent output.
  10. Why do you need to switch? You take power/surge. The difference is how often you will crit and the amount. It makes less reliance on RNG and more on consistent output. If that's the way you want to go of course. He's right. You just don't like what he has to say.
  11. You do know that power is consistent output right? So power won't be as high of a bonus as surge? Because you know...it's consistent.
  12. I never said there was power/crit enhancements. There's just so much wrong with this post. Those of us whom stacked power before hand (I saw this nerf coming) know the truth. I'll take consistent output vs. RNG any day. And Bioware agreed with me. Yay.
  13. thank you for posting this!!!! +1
  14. perhaps for you. I'm at almost 800 power for damage and 620 for heals and I've been very happy so far. I'm not completely maxed out yet, I don't know what it's like higher than that.
  15. CORRECT. The main issue is that everyone went for crit/surge. If they went power/surge and then supplemented crit with buffs etc, they would be in a better place. The point is they stacked crit to put RNG in their favor and surge as a bonus for high crits. Now they crit a lot and just don't do as much damage. The alternative is to stack power do higher consistent damage/heals and then when they do crit from RNG do higher damage (just not as high they were before.)
  16. Then I guess you would see that my point is to stack power/surge and power/accuracy? Right? I mean cause not everyone is picking crit/surge right? I mean that's not the only one everyone has been picking for the last month? And there's a couple of combos you missed there. I know one I was able to get +60 power from. Gear sets will offer a bit of power too. Collumi has a set for example.
  17. LOL yeah right. Because spamming an ability to get high crits on noobs is really hardcore. If they are casual, you should still be able to kill them. It will just take longer.

    QQers win again...

Agree with the surge nerf. Have no opinion on shockwater.
  19. stack power srsly...some people acting like big number RNG is the only thing to do in this game. How about stack your main stat, push for maxing out power, then look to crit and surge. RNG shouldn't be a guaranteed thing every time. The problem is how often the crit procs, so the amount it does is substantial (the surge.) They could either reduce the amount you crit or how much you crit for. This is a universal nerf. Everyone is affected and this change in my opinion requires more play with more strategy. It deters the play-style of running around spamming that one instant to look at big numbers and think you're awesome. It requires people to have more skill and I think that's a good thing.

    Well ...

Instead of Healing also. You forgot to mention healing.
  21. Will this ever be put back in the game? If so, when? http://www.torhead.com/schematic/gbEohft/portable-transport-beacon Also, when can we expect the white crystal to make it in the game?
  22. Here's the exchange on youtube from an operative using this as evidence and the creator of the video responds: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have been using your videos as anecdotal evidence of why operative burst was fine. I could never break 7k, highest I could get is around 6.2. I was stacking crit/surge mods/enh w/ power adrenal. Currently leveling my Jugg and playing on my powertech in the hopes they don't get nerfed into oblivion. My operative had burst, no knockbacks or charge, and therefore no purpose other than burst. See you on my jugg soon maybe, it was fun/scary to fight you as an operative before the nerf - Flutterspy --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jugg only gets bigger numbers. requires much more 'set up' than operatives, and our burst is really predictable so any decent players can CC / knockback / get away from us operatives open up from stealth and kill u while ur stunned. we cant do that, people can see guardians so they know theyre coming, so they can prepare and react accordingly. you cant react to operative b/c by the time they open on u, u are probably dead (if they use adrenal, relic (cont.) making previous 9~10k video as guardian is was really difficult for me. i had to pick out all 2~3 low lvls in the WZ, know where they are, know when they died (to calculate their res timer). make sure to pick up zerker buff when they HAPPENED to be around, and try to set up and execute my burst. more than half the time i fail and waste my adrenal b/c i get cc'ed or knockbacked by panicked crowd that try to stop me. then i had to wait another 3 minute to get a good crit in. (cont) on the other hand, making that same video as an operative would be easy as taking candy from a baby. its really easy to plan ahead while in stealth, pick out a gray in the crowd, pick up zerker and burst him with ur cd's completely unopposed. oh the other hand, making 9k+ crit movie as guardian was hard as taking candy from US government
  23. that isn't my point. I'm saying 5k+ 3k+ on a single target one right after the other. There's actually some 7k ones in that video. Many classes have some major hits in there. Break CC or interrupt or bubble. You have time not to eat the second incoming damage. But absolutely you can 5k+ aoe damage at level 50. Mileage varies based on gear. But that's the same for every class.
  24. I think you're missing my point all along. Here: ~5-6k aoe crit smashes with an immediate ~2-3k follow-up paired with damage reduction / invulnerability whatever it may be is not "working as intended" and "deviates from the norm." I'm referring to this dude talking about this from the original post. That video you linked does not support what he's been saying. Not every Guardian will get what you linked and I didn't see anything that matches what the OP is complaining about looking at the link you provided. I did see a single hit for 7k which is close to what he's talking about a few times in that video. Mentioned before I'm sure that was someone caught with their pants down or severely under geared vs. his probable full BM set.
