  1. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#200McMZhGMRkhMrtz.1 Way better than chain shock spec, in my opinion; Having charge mastery (Tier 1 Darkness) is a HUGE asset to maximizing your dps. The reason I chose lightning recovery over Electric execution (Tier 2 Darkness) is because it plays a bit role in some PvE scenarios, also helps while doing dailies and works nicely for PvP if you don't feel like respecing into the deception PvP talents.
  2. Hi, I'll start off by saying master looter is great now that it works properly. Unfortunately, there's no actual way for us to distribute the loot 'fairly' other than using a loot council. First off, please make it usable on normal mode...this auto-assign loot system is downright horrible. The main reason we even run it is to get our newer raiders out of any oranges/tionese gear, but they don't even really get it half the time because it'll assign the loot to somebody who has 10 of them already. Secondly, we need a /roll feature in the game. We switch between hard and nightmare during raids, but we find that 1 minute is definitely not long enough to distribute our loot properly. There's no reason we should have to coordinate who rolls need on which duplicate of an item and have people mess up and get upset that somebody won 2 of the same thing by mistake. I found myself putting ML on, but using an 8-sided die for patterns and mounts, but it doesn't work for core items. Thanks, -Aerolith
  3. How do you delay a launch when you have no money left to pay your developers? I don't think you people understand that they HAD to release the game when they did. Relax, kids.
  4. First and for-most, I'd like to congratulate you on releasing the game with this much success overall for what the game is at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I'm really enjoying the game. But it's obvious that the game was released because you surpassed your budget and needed extra to finish it properly (Some idiots would say you're trying to cut your losses). The game has some incredible aspects, but there are a ton of things that really need working on. I'm sure they've been posted before, but I'd like to make a list of them all instead of scattering them around. Here are some, please add if you don't see them: 1) Channeled abilities not working properly. There are times when you can cast snipe, force lightning or seethe and they won't do a thing during/after the cast. Officer in the guild has actually had 4 snipes not work properly in a row. 2) Vanish sometimes does not work properly. There are times that I'll vanish and still have mobs on me. I finally realized after a while that it was because my companion would have ticking dots on him. (Tested it out, seems to be ~10% of the time). 3) Not being able to cap a node in pvp if you have dots on you. I don't know if this was intended, but it's pretty annoying standing there alone and being able to cap during a 14 second window and not being able to really start capping until the dots are done 10 seconds later. ---For you trolls, sometimes force shroud is on CD from the actual fight for the node-- 4) Rarely (but has happened a number of times), after using the galaxy map to travel to another planet on your ship, your turn sensitivity drops to sub-zero or something...You'll try and change your camera angle and it'll barely move. 5) Chat/minimap settings such as font size on your chat screen and zoom-out on minimap reset after a load screen. 6) Combat log. You had one in beta, where is it now? 7) When having a stacking buff (like the ones from voltaic slash and reducing shock force requirement by 50%), it'll sometimes show up black or transparent on your buff bar. 8) No server-wide LFG CHANNEL. We've set one up on our server, but people still don't know about it / use it properly. On a side-note, please never implement an LFG queue-tool like Blizzard did, it ruins community-interaction. 9) Defending the shipment quest on Ilum bugs out halfway through the week. "Already in use" On a side-note, I've noticed that this quest is bugged at the same time as the slicing nodes on Ilum, specifically the one by the imperial taxi. 10) The mining equipment quest on Ilum bugs out rarely, but does happen at times. *The console on the equipment dissapears* 11) If you over-dps HK-47 in Foundry before he goes into the power core, he will bug out and snipe people repeatedly while being immune on the edges, then frenzy and destroy somebody. 12) Obvious ops bugs that have been listed millions of times. 13) Won a biochem pattern in eternity vault the other day and when I try and learn it, it says "Invalid schematic" 14) Master looter. Please fix this and add a /roll feature. 15) Need/greed in raids needed other than just on alloys. Round Robin is frankly the stupidest loot system ever. All I can think of for now, please feel free to add bugs that you (the players) have noticed while playing. Love the game so far, looking forward to it being finished around March/April, -Aerolith
  5. A lot of players like this on MMOs, unfortunately.
  6. x10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 I love you.
  7. Your first statement makes no sense. 1 million subs @ $49.99 = 50 million. Free month for everybody = 15 million LOST Accounting for people who unsubscribed to not getting billed this month, people who bought gamecards as Christmas gifts, collector's editions etc, I'd say the game made somewhere along the lines of $75-100 million in total. Nowhere near "Cutting their losses" They spent too much on the voice acting and leveling process, I'll agree. But it was damn worth playing the singleplayer aspect of the game, and if you level 1 of each class on each faction, you will REALLY love the story (if you're into that). They're working on the end-game, and hopefully it works out. And if it doesn't, steam had some amazing sales in December. I know I took advantage!
  8. Excuse me, but have you ever designed a game? Did it ever occur to you that a comparison of both game's releases is perfectly logical? Do you think Blizzard employees had a clue of what they had to do at the start? They built the game from the ground, and that's EXACTLY what Bioware has to do. Unrealistic expectations is "Oh god, this game doesn't have LFG. This game doesn't have Real-ID (which was universally recognized as a TERRIBLE idea, even by Blizzard), etc". Do you understand how HARD it is to implement those features before the game is launched? Sorry to tell you sir, but YOU are the one that is wrong here. -Aerolith
  9. I applaud you, sir. You've figured out the meaning of life (of this MMO). In all seriousness though, I don't understand how people can complain this much. The first few months of an MMO are going to be frustrating as all hell. If you weren't around for WoW's launch, I'm actually really pleased for you. While I'll agree, this game should not have been released without a combat log, honestly I would have preferred the game come out in February or May than deal with some of the things I'm dealing with; I understand how hard it is to run a game with cretins who have the highest expectations after I bet jumping into a game like WoW 5 years after production (when WoTLK came out) and it having all the features it does now. Swtor is EXACTLY like vanilla WoW. With all of it's amazing aspects (including no LFG/LFR garbage - Which takes away from building a community) and some of it's bad (Mainly all the bugs and no major customization). All in all, the game is coming into place nicely. But as I said, I'd have preferred it come out in 2012 than when it did. Have some patience, children. -Aerolith
  10. Good job for showing incentive but this is not the way to do it. We want our own server forums, not share with others. Pretty inexcusable. -Aerolith
  11. No way in hell your AA works. I'll even post screenshots of what the game looks like without, on low and on high AA. AA Off: http://imgur.com/iHi6n AA Low: http://imgur.com/AZRG5 AA High: http://imgur.com/neKmq ...I play on fullscreen windowed... i7 2600k 4.2GHz gtx 570 16gb Ram
  12. Noticed it hadn't made any difference whatsoever. So I mousedover and it says "Feature has not been implemented yet." [smallRage] You kidding me? Put it on the TOP of your patch notes and it doesn't even work?![/smallRage] I mean hell, I play the game because it reminds me of vanilla WoW (best times ever playing). But when you say "Hey, patch is coming out such&such a date!" then pull it away, then give it back to us, pull it away AGAIN then FINALLY release it, you'd expect for the main feature to be there... I'm pretty upset. Obviously only a fool would say "I'm RAGEQUITTING the game"... I've got enough patience to wait for the important things. But please, give us what we want/need that would make the game that much better: UI scaling/customization (specifically not having to use sidebars). COMBAT LOGS. Not having to change chat preferences like font size almost every time we go to another planet. Ability delay, like having to mash your interrupt key off GCD (global cooldown) and it won't go off. Core abilities like Snipe not going off properly. Shooting up to >9000ms when watching something on youtube (and no, it's not a bandwidth issue). And hopefully one day, addon-capability. In reality, only damage meters. Would be nice to see who is and isn't pulling their weight in a group, instead of having to have a feel for it. I love the game Bioware, so please don't make me look naive for believing you'll fix these issues and implement what the ENTIRE community wants. -Aerolith
  13. "Fixed an issue preventing some players from opening a chest after a boss fight if the group was previously defeated by the boss." I'm glad one of my complaints is at least in the next patch. Keep 'em coming, BW!
  14. I'm not comparing the game to WoW at all. It actually makes me laugh how some people will say the game is exactly like WoW, then turn around immediately and say it isn't the same as WoW either. It's pathetic and just a call for attention. The whole point of this thread was to hopefully get a direct answer from a worker to assure us that some if not all and more of these issues are being looked at and corrected. But as I've stated, I definitely enjoy the game so far. The storyline is amazing. I don't like people saying that the end-game is ridiculously easy, but that's just tweaking that needs to be done by Bioware in future content patches.
  15. I disagree. I'd like to know for sure if somebody isn't keeping up with expected damage/healing. It's not meant to flex and say "I've got the best dps" like some people trying to parse on WoL in my opinion.
  16. Hi, I'm an avid Star Wars fan and definitely enjoy the game up to now, but there are definitely some things that need changing or to be worked on (as expected of a new MMO). My questions are as follows: Are there intentions of allowing the use of addons? (Damage meters specifically) Will the UI be customizable at all? (Scaling specifically) How about some of the blaring bugs that have been around for ages like: Not being able to loot a boss' chest if your group wipes. Not being able to see everyone in your guild tab that's actually online WITHOUT having to click on 'details'. Your preferences such as 'map fading', 'minimap view distance', 'help window' or 'chat font' changing back to default settings after zoning in/out of your ship. I mean, I'm happy you guys are fixing giant issues like /getdown and people's chat functions not working, but it's these little things that's going to tick players off to the point where we won't want to play anymore; and I really would like to keep playing. So please tell me issues like these are going to be addressed in the near future. Thank you for the great game, -Aerolith
