  1. Same thing I always do between expansions, play other games. My primary MMO, FFXIV (also has an upcoming expac) but while I wait for both SWToR's and FFXIV's to drop I just been playing other games, some old, some new, just to pass the time, I also watch several Anime series when not in a gaming mood.
  2. Wow, I'm slow to read the forums these days, but a big thumbs up to BW for these changes, Been wanting to be able to glam my weapons, well.... forever, as sometimes its a hassle to swap out mods all the time (and expensive). Rather like the new tagging changes as well, as sometimes I enjoy just wandering around helping out players in the open world or as I like to call it "Drive by healing" or randomly grabbing aggro for some things other people so they can focus on DPS while I soak the damage intended for them (Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment), being rewarded for these acts will now make my hobby, well, more rewarding.
  3. Honestly, the easiest thing for ANY mmo to do to prevent overinflation (Which niether SWToR or FFXIV do, or anyone else for that matter) would be to place a cap on how much an item can be sold for based on its rarity in the game. Its a simple solution, yet both Bio Ware and Square-Enix are too lazy to do it. This is of course the real problem, instead of fixing that which is broken, they will try to sell us more crap to get us to forget about the issues. For example, Space missions, Horrible since launch, never fixed, no-one even plays them I mean, a Star-Fox (Space on Rails) system was the best they could do? GSF is "ok" but the original Space mission stuff needs an overhaul and has needed it for years.
  4. Honestly I do agree that a cap should be placed on how much items can be sold for in the GTN based on rarity. Say.. max of 500k-Bronze/5mil-Silver/20mil-Gold/100mil-Platinum. Something like this would be more reasonable, but TBH, the prices on my main server (The Harbinger) is alot cheaper than my Alt Server (Ebon Hawk) which is nearly double what I pay on my main server.
  5. Actually what could help liven SWToR up a bit more, a Space Mission Revamp, something more in line with how they did GSF. I mean, aside from when SWToR launched, has anyone played any of those Space Missions since? I know I haven't, I haven't clicked on that console on my ship in almost 2 years.
  6. I mean really, are you that surprised it's not back up right away? You been playing MMO's, including this one, for how long? When are they EVER back up on time. A little early on occasion maybe, but late is almost a guarantee.
  7. I do like the new system. YEah if you decide to look at each one, one at a time, it takes awhile. But I also like how it just puts everything from the crates in a tab so I can alt hop to dispense stuff with, as I tend to reserve certain items for certain alts. Though most of whichever alt unlocks something will eventually be an acct wide unlock, honestly I usually only keep a few things from each set, then sell whatever I won't use on the GTN.
  8. Only thing that gives free credits is "Slicing" want to make alot of credits.. Slicing.. on Zakuul.. easy creds, if you're patient as others might be after them too. But still you can kill things while collectinng Slicing nodes and sell the trash drops which=more creds. Honestly I don't have an issue making creds. And no.. Just no on buying from Gold Sellers. They may seem "Legit", but I hear more complaints across multiple MMO's about having credit card info stolen, so buying gold/credits/etc. is NEVER a good option.
  9. Bravo Bio Ware!, Here I was ready to play, and now instead I've decided to cancel my sub which expires again in a few days, not paying to NOT play the game. Maybe I'll come back, but since I've been having issues even getting my *Cartel Coins, I really doubt I'll bother. I keep really wanting to enjoy SWToR, but then you do this far too regularly. *Takes me almost until my next payment each month to get them (3 weeks after being billed)
  10. Same issue here.... Click Launch.. And nothing.. the one time it did let me in it was frozen at 99.4% download at the character select.. Nice job Bio Ware... Are you trying to get people to cancel subs?
  11. My #1 Idea: Revamp Space Missions.. The Horrible "Star Fox" flying on rails thing you decided on was a huge backwards step in gaming. Making it more like the old X-Wing vs Tie games or like the Rogue Squadron games would be much better, where we fly about in an open environment like in GSF. #2: Mount overhaul. Speeders? They're not very speedy, in fact I can almost out run them all using force sprint.. Really feel they need a boost to like 20/40/80 or more instead of 10/20/30. Also.. Flying speeders, I'd like to be able to fly around on a planet , it worked for WoW and FFXIV so you can't say it can't be done.
  12. I took this path once, and resubbed 2 weeks later. The credits move to escrow, if you resub you get them back automatically Any equipment you have equipped will remain equipped. If you remove it for any reason "Then" you'll need to buy authorization to re-equip it. As a former sub, you will loose 1 crafting slot (Skill level in it remains, just can't use one) You will get to choose which one gets turned off. Also keep in mind you also earn less credits and less XP (75%), No rested XP for being in a Stronghold or Cantina or other safe Area. You already know about the character limitation.. 6 I believe for a former sub (+ any you got from buying extra character slots)
  13. Nevermind, fixed it myself. If anyone has a similar issue just restart your PC, should fix it right up.
  14. "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again." Every time I try to launch SWToR. Really Bio Ware?!? On X-Mas? *** can any of you do your jobs, EVER? FIX IT!!!! Why am I even paying for a sub?
  15. Earth! Sadly this planet isn't in SWToR, It is however a miserable little green planet filled with corrupt politicians and lawyers (they'd probably do quite well on Coruscant), sadly reality prevents us from having this world destroyed, not that the Empire or Eternal Empire would really need to do anything, we're doing a fine job of destroying the Earth without any outside interference.
  16. Honestly you're better off NOT wasting money on those tokens, sure *poof* you're 60, but the advantage to leveling thru the story each time is you make alot of credits, instant 60 you get.. Zipola, nuthin.. just basic "Green" armor and weapons that are mediocre at best. I used my token and then after seeing how few creds you get during the story I deleted that 60.
  17. Agreed, I tried quite a few other MMO's FFXIV Grind fest and the boss fights are alot more difficult than necessary, Former WoW player. Friends keep conning me into going back, only to leave again a week later horribly disappointed, Tried WildStar.. Not bad, but it comes off as a Sci-Fi WOW. My biggest letdown was Elder Scrolls Online, worst MMO I've ever played. SWToR is by far the best of the bunch. WoW claims to be the best, but lets face it, WoW hasn't been 'The Best" for years. If any game is dying its going to be WoW. But like this, it'll still likely be around for years to come.
  18. Honestly, I've "NEVER" seen an add for s SW game during movies. Not even Episode 1-3, which there were SW games then. Podracing, Force unleashed, etc. They had commercials on TV, but not in the theaters. So why complain there weren't any in the latest movie? Not like they were breaking a trend.
  19. Ah, hadn't been on for a few weeks, so missed any earlier posts regarding it.. Just got one yesterday. Hope they fix it soon.. Would like to see what it looks like and what size hook it is.. I'm assuming the largest one or the starship hook, which would mean planting it on Tatooine, Yavin or Nar Shaddaa, Would seem out of place on DK or Coruscant if its as "Massive" as it sounds, not to mention, neither of them has a starship hook.
  20. Just what it says, Stronghold Decoration from the new pack, all values read "undefined", can't even preview the item. So.. BioWare, any idea when it'll be fixed? As one of the only "Gold" items from the packs that I opened I would like something that I can, hmm... I don't know... USE? If you can't fix it, how about at least swapping it out for say the Nexu Companion? Because right now, the "Massive Artillery Turret", is just a waste of space in my inventory.
  21. Query: Why do you meatbags dislike the HK's so much? Statement: I will tell you why. It is because you let your fleshy opinions define you. Embrace your inner droid! Ok, Seriously... Its a novel idea. Actually playing a droid, namely HK-55, for a few missions will be at the very least entertaining. Sure you could just play a class with a gun and "Pretend" you're a droid, but really now. Not to mention I see a lot of people posting that. "HK-55 died and said he didn't want to be "Brought back" by a backup." He didn't however say don't bring him back as he was. I'm certain he expected to be destroyed beyond repair and merely didn't want to be transplanted into an alternate body (Which he would have to re-tune and would likely never be as efficient as his original body). Personally I knew that wasn't to be his fate, it was clear by what happened during that chapter that BW had every intention of "Bringing HK-55 back", anyone who says otherwise is clearly in denial.
  22. Its funny you should mention HK and Treek. I was watching the companion posts and BW employees stated "We will NOT be changing special companions like Treek and HK-51." - ROFLMAO, yeah, they blatantly lied about that, as they both got the same makover as every other companion. I miss the attacks that made them unique, which is why I got them. Now I just feel ripped off (In Treeks case as that cost me CC).
  23. No, but then there aren't any cathar or miraluka NPC's, Though a few Sith Purebloods came close to mine, but usually not in the same gear I wear.
  24. Happy or not happy with the nerf matters little. Was I happy that they decided to nerf them.. Yes, but I admit that the comps were a little too OP. Did they need to be nerfed, yes, but not as much as they were. I see many saying they're fine still. Be honest, They're not. They're worse than 3.0, which is not acceptable. But I agree putting them back to 4.0 would be foolish. They should be somewhere in between 3.0 and 4.0, because, lets face it, many comps in 3.0 were useless, especially the tanking comps. The most used comps were HK and Treek, HK had good DPS and Treek was a good healer compared to the other healers (Though I do admit she was obnoxious). And even in 4.0 The tanking comps still had issues, needed a lot more agrro, I had to minimize healing/dps abilities with my sage just to keep from stealing aggro from my comp.
