  1. just buy an orange one and mod it acordingly to your needs? Any orange commendations weapon will do, daily/gtn hilt, a gtn/daily/slavaged mod and enhancement and you are done, i honestly fail to see the problem.
  2. Zergs are bad for melees, really? Big surprise! Ilum is a good example for bad game design, but that's not exactly new information.
  3. he was talking about 5 stacks of 20% armor reduction each, and yes they are multiplicative
  4. that talent is pretty much worthless, it only prevents ravage from being interupted by interupt skills like the warriors disruption. Anything that causes you to lose control of your charakter is still interupting you (stun, knockback, choke, whirlwind, ...).
  5. read again, notice the have him stop attacking part before the taunt, profit. You have a point though but that could be explained with threat expiring in some way. I could give some examples that lead me to belive it acts the way i said it does, but then again, i can just test it and come back here after that, not now, time to get some sleep
  6. Well, easy enough to test that, have someone hit something, dont do anything, have him stop atacking it, taunt it and do nothing else. If it does put you at the top of the threat table at the moment of the taunt, you should still have the agro after the 6 seconds expire, from what i have seen mobs walk straight back. Edit: On topic, backhand is the only ability with a threat modifier acording to its tooltip, threat from other abilities should only be based on damage potential (no idea if non damage debuffs like sunder armor generate threat and unfortunatly no way of testing that without a combat log to crunch numbers). So, leaving backhand aside you should try to maximize your damage in order to maximize your threat.
  7. It's a bad tanking build with no real offensive gain. The advantages of Shien form over (unskilled) shiicho form are a 3% overall damage gain and a lot more rage generation, problem here being you have no worthwile way of actually spending that aditional rage making it rather pointless. You added a damage stance with little to no way of actually taking advantage of it. The stun on charge is bad because it adds to the resolve bar in pvp, the normal imobilizing effect doesn't making crash a wasted talent point. Having neither, sweeping fury nor enraged sunder willcriple your rage generation in soresu form badly. I could go on like this but honestly i don't see the point in doing so, hybrid spec are nice and fun if they work but this one is just totaly cripeled no matter what it tries to do. If you want a tanky dps pve/pvp hybrid spec go 14/27, it's the only reasonable option in that department at the moment. As far as pve goes, you can tank any hc flashpoint without planting a single talent point after you got some gear. On top of that i am fairly certain that any pve/pvp dps spec (especially vengance) in halfway decent defense gear would perform better at tanking hc flashpoints than the one you posted. It is simply a bad spec without a well-thought-out concept, no offens intended.
  8. The expertise rating on pvp gear forces you to keep a seperate gearset for pvp/pve, pretty much the same way resilence did in wow. The bonuses gained from expertice are clearly superior to the stat advantages same level pve gear has. On the other hand pvp gear is definitly inferior to pve gear in a pve szenario.
  9. Nope, taunt does exactly what the tooltip says, the target is forced to attack you for the duration of the taunt, threat levels are of no importance to the taunt mechanic nor are they manipulated in any way by it. It is true though that there are mmos that implement taunt in the way you described, getting attacked for x seconds or being put on the top of the threat list are the 2 common taunt mechanics in mmos.
  10. That spec is simply awfull, you give up a lot of nice stuff and get nothing worth mentioning in return. I agree that unstoppable is a great talent, but if you want it try a 14/27 spec. You could even try a 29/12 specc, basically trading crushing blow for unstoppable. Crushing blow is nice and all, but with a 15 sec cooldown not that important in the end, bw should really reduce the cooldown on that one, would make immortal play a lot more fluid.
  11. Vette is probably one of the best (if not the best) dps companion in the game. She owns, period. But honestly, doesn't matter that much, both get the job done. One of the problems is that companion ai acts... weird at times especially the melee companions. They lose a lot of dps if they are running around the place instead of wacking baddies, not that big a problem for the ranged dps companions.
  12. male 4, the only option really, first the sun blacks out, then it crashes into you = win
  13. well, that clears up that, so you just miss out on the daily commendations you get for doing the bonus series, no big deal.
  14. Belsavis bonus series is bound to your level, you get the starter quest for it on the belsavis space station upon reaching level 50. Ilum bonus series starter quest is the one bound to you finishing your class quest line, but you should still be able to do 1-2 of the dailies on ilum without advancing in the bonus series. Actually you might even be able to do more of them, the ilum and belsavis bonus series guide you around, but i am not sure how far they are needed to unlock the dailies. I am sure there are some daily quests on both planets that don't require you to advance in the bonus series.
  15. In that case you can still do the belsavis dailies, only the starter quest on ilum is bound to the class quest, just means you need twice the time and you have no access to the enhancement reward, because it's an ilum quest. But that should not be a problem, with the money you get for the belsavis dailies you can just buy em on the galactic trade market. Edit: that enjoying part was a sarcastic remark, wasn't it?
