  1. I'm on "The courageous" if you need a friend. Although.. I guess that depends largely on what "Friend" means.
  2. This isn't going to change anything. The other crafting skills are still crap compared to biochem, I wouldn't care if they did a 180 second delay. Crafting your own medical gear is at least 20x better than any of the other skills. Simply cause the cost of biochems/materials is so high at npc's. As usual, bioware knee jerks it's way through a nerf that isn't good enough, and doesn't underly the real issue; the other crafting skills are junk..
  3. The answer is to get into whatever's bugged for as long as you can. Bethseda is too busy counting money to worry about boosting the other professions. So biochem, and slicing is where it's at
  4. Thanks for that, can you enable search, and switch to a better forum software other than Drupal? Thanks!
  5. http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/1390/crewskills.jpg Looks like you need Investigation, or you can go to the auction house, and buy the parts off of there.
  6. FYI; This is very buggy, and very annoying. Usually I have to do quests twice when I do it with my other friend who plays the same class. Not cool.. :|
  7. Just the way the game plays, I went through Taris as fast as I could, same with nar shadda, and I'm liking tattooine, but that's prolly cause I have a speeder now..
  8. You have to join a guild. The incentives for doing heroic missions are pretty lame, and most groups either involve smash, and heal. Or.. a healer, and loads of DPS if possible. I usually skip heroics because of the poor way they where made into the game. (Requiring four active players all open to doing a mission is time consuming, and difficult when most of the players who want to do them are several levels below the suggested level for the heroic mission.. :/ )
  9. WTB: Chinese farmer. We don't need slicing.. !
  10. I wonder if they considered asking the public about slicing before nerfing it? Kinda awesome I dropped my high level cybertech for slicing, then patch day comes and I'm out in the cold cause Bioware decided it'd be high time to ruin it for a late bloomer like me that has a job.
  11. It is a bug, you need to be in a spot where you can push out a companion on the screen, and you need to refresh the item window, otherwise it wont show the reverse engineer button.
  12. Have to agree with what's said above; -Lots of salvaging nodes found in corusant in the sewers, and old market areas. Generally, they respawn every 10 to 15 minutes. (Maybe a farming issue at some point?) -Salvaging levels super fast. Underground takes forever. -Sort your armor tech by difficulty, then build the orange, and red items over and over again. (Green and Gray items dont really give any improvement on armortech skill.) -Once built, reverse engineer the parts so you get salvaging components back to build even more items. -Sometimes while doing Underground missions you'll get schematics. With low level salvage materials you can buy them for as little as 1-2 credits per. On the more expensive stuff it can get pretty darn expensive. I'm at level 80 right now... and it's cool cause most of my manufactured gear is better than the items I'll get from quest rewards. Also, the system is ALOT easier than it was in World of Warcraft. Which took ages, and you where stuck waiting in front of a retarded looking anvil staring at a progress bar.. :|
  13. I read your comments on what made SWG so awesome, and I had to chuckle a bit. SWG borrowed many of it's gameplay rules directly from another game called Star Wars Combine. In particular, there are specific requirements regarding building, and crafting items. One thing I think will really ruin this game from what I've seen is a strong value for bethseda to require that people re-roll whenever they want to retrain for something else. One of the biggest complaints about SWG was the "redesign" that forced people to specialize in only one thing. I guess we will see. For right now, I'm loving the dialogues, decent AI on companions, and mediocre graphics :]
  14. All the more reason to design servers that are scalable vertically (faster/more processors/memory/hard drive space) instead of horizontally (aka shard crap). I would point at Eve Online. Epic fights are to be had if they didn't use sharding with different servers that makes economics (for items, and class types?) range wildly server to server.
  15. That's terrible. I selected armor crafting thinking I could build more cool stuff, I guess they expect everyone who plays this game to make one of each character for crafting every single thing out there :|
  16. I agree, just make it start a nuclear bomb that blows up everything, instantly. :| I use the full auto skill all the time, but really I think my character sucks more because I choose vanguard, and there's not way to choose commando after you've selected your type. (other than a annoying reroll..)
