We're looking for a couple more healers and tanks. If you've got alts, that's even better! We're originally from Zez-Kai-Ell but have since moved to Canderous Ordo and now we're on Jedi Covenant. We are an inclusive guild that strongly supports and respects one another. We have an international membership, and most guildies are over 30 with previous MMO experience. So we're here to have fun and socialize but also get the job done once an operation starts. You will not simply be a number in this guild. I realize devs are probably 10 steps ahead of me on this- but I've noticed something during sm/hm/nim raids.... ALMOST*** always gear drops that no one needs. Over vent then you hear "but my companion could use" Companions indeed. But what about my alts? A few people in my guild (who are super dedicated to swtor) have multiple lvl 50 alts. By and large (due to group limitations) they cant roll with an alt, so the gear that drops during operations does not get to the one who needs it most. To counteract this situation, wouldn't it be prudent to make most/all columi/rakata/bh drops in operations bind to legacy? Seems counterintuitive to disadvantage players with multiple 50s because of operation group limitations (im referring here to the inability of other players in the op to swap out toons and fill different roles). After all, aren't the subscribers with multiple level 50s that dont see a clear path to gearing them run the highest risk of unsubscribing? Doesn't it make sense that these individuals should be rewarded for putting that much time into this game? Doesn't it make sense that devs create a clear path to gearing their 50 alts? Making raid drops bind to legacy would go a long way towards this. I realize however, that this is a slippery slope. Pretty soon you'll get cries from others demanding all commendations become bind to legacy/transferrable. I dont see why this has happened yet either. If you have the ability to transfer credits toon to toon to buy augments to improve your alt, why arent daily or bh comms also transferrable to further accelerate this process? running dailies with my dps is a bit easier than with my tank.. There should be incentives for players who take on multiple roles/alts to have alts with diff class roles, not barriers. These subscribers will become your bread and butter revenue-wise anyway, because we're hooked on the storylines and content. I realize this may have unintended consequences as well. Making operations/raids automatically master looter could manage unforseen difficulties. Master looter mandatory on hm/nim always. This way, it's the raid leader's responsibility to decide who gets the loot, not the devs- which is good! I realize this is probably no small feat of coding, but could be introduced in the future patches. Also, in sm operations, keep everything BInd to legacy also,, but add a neat new button for alts next to need/greed/RE. This should help the situation on sm ops if it's a guild run and veterans bring their geared toons to help guildies gear up. TL,DR- make operations hm and above master looter, make operations drops bind to legacy to help players with multiple 50s gear more efficiently. make daily/bh/wz comms transferrable just as credits are transferrable. If i can transfer credits to an alt to buy augments to improve the toon, why cant i send him the daily comms or the gear that drops in ops? usually these pieces get sent to companions and do nothing for a guild (as a whole) that wishes to advance their members efficiently.
