  1. Hello, I'm Chris! Currently, I'm looking for a guild to suit my style of play. I'm a former hardcore raider (in other games, WoW and so forth) with a more slightly casual outlook now. Meaning, I'll still raid for progression, but not more than 4 nights a week. I also PVP quite often, and would love nothing more than to engage in group/ranked WZ PVP matches. Right now, my favorite pass-time is leveling alts. I want to get one of each Empire class to 50, then begin working on the Rep side. My level 50's are as followed: 50 Powertech (tank) 50 Mercenary (dps) 50 Operative (dps) I feel I could play any of these classes in a raid-like setting. I really enjoy PvPing with the Powertech, especially in groups. Unfortunately, none of my characters are doing really well in terms of PvE gear. The Merc has some, but is severely lacking. I've not played with any healing specs thus far, and don't think I'd be a very good healer. Otherwise, I'm willing to play whatever's needed. A little history about myself: I was here on release, and absolutely love the game, though many of my friends did not. As they returned to their previous MMOs or onto new ones, I just sort of fell into casualness. I've been a hardcore raider in all previous WoW expansions, having killed the Lich King on hard mode, at the end of WotLK. Left WoW during Cata, about 9 months before SWTOR's launch, without any want to return. Personality: I'm a pretty laid back guy. Though I'm nearly 33, I have a perverted and raunchy sense of humor. I cuss frequently, though I can tone that down in the appropriate environments. I do use and talk on vent/mumble, but I'm not overly-talkative. I keep my stuff together during raids or any other serious times. Availability: Most evenings. While I don't want to have to raid more than 4 nights a week, those night I can raid are pretty much wide-open. Start times are fine after 4 pm, and end times for me would be good by 1 am. If your guild can work within that time frame, on a few set days a week, I can show up as needed. Misc: My hardware is as followed.. Intel® Core i7 CPU 8.00 GB of Ram NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti Razer Naga Mouse - The only weapon you really need. What I want in a guild: People interested in activity. Flashpoints, group pvp, Ops. I really want to stop playing this as a 1-player game, only doing class quests and pvp to level alts. Time to make some new friends and kill horrible monsters together, for good times and shinies. Mature players are a plus! Reply here, or hit me in game. Daerin, Karvatos, Nakaya, Enaeas
  2. In the last Q&A, you mentioned the option to turn Jaesa Light or Dark. With the Sith Inquisitor (the Emperor Palpatine of SWTOR) their own Jedi Padawan, Ashara, can't be driven to the Dark Side. By the master manipulator archtype even! Are there any plans to change that, or give the SI a romantic love interest that actually fits most Inquisitor alignments?
  3. Take a Bounty Hunter, for example. They're every kind of class. Tank, Healer, Semi-Melee DPS (Powertech), Range DPS (merc). There is a strong want for Vibro-blade users. Non-force melee. For the Empire, they can use Blaster Rifles or Cannons for the range DPS (something the Empire doesn't get). For the Republic, Sniper Rifles (something they don't get). And yes, a Mon Calamari and Wookie would get the same storyline. It would be your general "Alien vs. the Human racist masses" type thing. The Empire version would probably be a lot of ruthlessness, and the Republic version would likely be trying to work hard and show your merit.
  4. I can understand that, but there are a lot of people that really want to be one of those races. For those that don't, but still want to play the class, I would hope they'd have the option to pick a basic-speaker.
  5. Alien storyline, for both Empire and Republic. This would be your Trandoshan, Rodian, etc. They would all have the same story: An Alien/Droid making it's way in a galaxy/faction that favors humans. The ACs could break down. AC1: Tank/Melee DPS AC2: Healer/Range DPS People get their aliens. They get their melee DPS without lightsabers. They get their Wookie Bowcasters. They get their own story, so there's no weird retcon of why a Wookie is joining the Sith Empire as an Inquisitor. That's how I'd do it, anyway.
  6. I've not seen such tears since before the great BM nerf of 08. You -can- get by spamming Tracer Missile/Grav Round, but it's not optimal. However, all of your other abilities are tied into spamming it at least 3 times. For a BH, talented properly, to have to use 3 Tracers to build Heat Signature, which is the ONLY way you should ever fire your Heatseeker missiles on a target above 10% HP. Unload would be good to throw in here, especially to help with heat management. Using Rail Shot is crap without 5 stacks of Target Lock on a target, so that requires at least 2 more Tracer Missiles before using it. Now, the point to all my rambling is this: If you're going to nerf Tracer/Grav, then you have to raise up other abilities. "Oh, your whining got my 1.5 second spam ability nerfed, so eat my buffed instant cast/channeled ability, which your baddie self can't dodge or interrupt!" I'm nearly full Champion armor, and Tracer Missile doesn't hit that hard on a lot of classes. Guardians, for example. It's like being swatted by flies. Melee have tons of closers, other ranged have easy ways to escape. Nearly all classes have an interrupt. At the end of the day, only a baddie will stand there and let themselves get missiles rained down on their heads. If enough whining gets the class changed to the point that they make a more complex, but rewarding, rotation? Woe to all ye who cried out, for ye doom thyselves to getting owned even further.
  7. Will the Purple version RE into a stronger purple version? For example: Advanced Nimble Mod 22A into Advanced Nimble Mod 22B.
  8. Since you're nearing 50, what are your macros planned out?
  9. Don't usually agree with QQs, but this time I have to throw my hat in the ring too. Fusion Missile looks amazing, and Tracer Missile looks like we're trying to teabag. Switch them around, please.
  10. Anything new on this? I'm on Hoth right now, don't want to miss this.
  11. To me, that's all the more reason to jump on that wagon now and become a millionaire before the bomb is dropped.
  12. I'm a Merc BH with Slicing, Cybertech, and Scavenging. My Slicing is nearing 400, while my Cybertech and Scav are nearing 300. I wish I'd chosen Underworld Trading over Scavenging at level 10! I wish this a thousand times! The metals from scavenging are pretty cheap to buy, and you can't build ANY of the good stuff without Underworld Trading metals. Slicing is a must-have for me, at least until max level. Do you like money? I love money. By the time I'm 34 (level 33 right now), my Slicing will be maxed, and each successful lockbox score is anywhere from 1-5k credits when I send my companions out. When you have 5 companions to send out on Slicing missions, imagine the number of credits/hour ratio while you're off doing fun things. It also gives lots of schematics for Cybertech, as well as unlocking missions for other professions. I can't stress enough how awesome Slicing has been so far. So, if you're going Cybertech and you want to win.. Cybertech, Underworld Trading, Slicing. Buy the green Scavenging metals from the AH or from guildies. I want to make some Arsenal Macros with my Razer Naga to make keeping track of abilities a little easier. Any suggestions for good combos? I really like the Unload + Power Shot suggestion above, for example.
  13. Anyone got him yet? I'd love to see screenshots and get some details. I'd trade just about any one of my companions for a ****** droid.
