  1. yes, do not forget rebuke and saber ward. use them on CD, dont worry about saving them. make sure you keep medpacs and stims handy, they can make all the difference. one thing i learned quickly with this game, do not skip quests in the beginning. you will get the same xp for 8 levels above the quests. better to be 2 or 3 levels above and fly through the quests than have to worry. make sure you do the taris bonus series to keep you ahead of the game.
  2. i really do not like that i have to pay for this for each character
  3. this is a silly thread. it sounds like someone got rolled over a PT and thinks the class is OP even though it may be their gear, the PT's gear or lack of skill i agree that if you do not know the class you should not be asking for a nerf i have the ability to do some decent damage and can put up numbers similar to a maurader so if you nerf one you have to nerf the other. if you do that then the healers will be op again. the only real nerf i see being needed after 1.3 is released is operative/scoundrel healing
  4. gotta agree here it doesn't matter when the post was made, everyone should try scrolling down to AT LEAST the end of the first page before making a post exactly the same do a little research before creating a post, it just seems lazy on to the question, ive gone with the eliminator and am about to try the super shield and combat tech. i think that the eliminator 4pc bonus is nice but i dont feel i have enough defensive abilities. i look at it like the longer i can stay alive, the more damage i can really do so that fight where i got off 2 HiB and died will be trumped by living through and not having to wait for a respawn and run back
  5. Thanks for clearing that up!! cant wait to try your armor set
  6. sorry if this is off topic but another question... if i pull the mods out can i still trade a piece of BM gear into WH gear?
  7. i thought the WH mods carried the set bonus with them im still a little confused on how this game mechanic works i do like the idea of this gear set and am currently working on trying it out
  8. technically it is true. i have heard of plenty of hybrids taking iron cell and being able to guard while dpsing i dont think its the smart thing to do at all but it can be done therefore some people will do it.
  9. once you get your healing companion, i went full dps (assault) i dont like having to rest after just 1 or 2 fights so i just roll dps and let her keep me up. i seem to run through things faster than when i tried the tank spec or iron fist
  10. ya, i meant 8. im not sure what i was thinking but that is what i meant. chalk it up to me not proof-reading lol
  11. that makes sense, but why would you want to drop CT and the Gut snare when choosing to go with the Eliminators set? i really dont see anywhere to put those two points either. also, i think we are in agreement that the HiB 4pc is much better than the Shockstrike 4pc bonus. really the difference seems to be do you want a .5 second increase on an aoe stun and 15 second reduction in our stun breaker for the difference in the DPS increase from the eliminators set. it sounds like with Hold the Line in this spec those CC increases dont really make up for how often crits are going to happen with your HiB. knowing im not going to play the tanking spec, eliminators is surely the way to go for me.
  12. i used this build a while back on my old server as a PT and enjoyed it quite a bit. i did end up having to take a break and didn't quite get BM gear so now that 1.2 has been upon us for a while and ive rerolled to a more populated server, my question would be why you chose the armor you did. is the combat tech BM gear really the best choice?? for a build like this which i plan on running along with full assault (just because its a lot of fun sometimes), would you still recommend the combat tech gear and why? it seems like the eliminator set with the HiB bonus would be much better.
  13. this is a PVP build and is not viable in PVE so HMs have nothing to do with this build. it is a very solid build when doing WZ's but keep in mind if you do both PVP and PVE you will be spending some credits changing your build
  14. teach yourself to weave in hammer shots occasionally. its hard to get used to but keeping your ammo above 6 is tough at times. eventually you will have two powers to help but at the low levels you have to make sure you are filling some holes with your free ability
