  1. I wish I had your life, if dying in a video game counts as a HUGE disappointment.
  2. Because, y'know, healers in this game can actually DPS? Don't even try say it's as bad as other games, go play a Holy Pala or a Holy priest in WoW or a Minstrel or a Captain in LOTRO then come back here and tell me Healers here don't have it easy. Add in to the fact, healers in of themselves have naturally higher DPS than in other games, you also have DPS companions which, when kitted, do viable DPS. There's really no reason to adjust the respec costs considering it resets after 7 days.
  3. Until people realise it's more cost effective to get gear with mods already on them and just remove the mods as they see fit? Time vs Reward for crafting really doesn't add up, considering the length of time missions take, and the random aspect in what you actually acquire from that mission (lets not forget it could fail entirely, wasting a ton of credits) the rewards really need to be scaled better to accommodate that.
  4. Read the posts... Champion gear ISN'T top tier gear, it's entry level. Taking weeks or months to get ENTRY LEVEL gear is not acceptable, by all means, make it take months for the Centurion stuff, but the Champion? No.
  5. Don't forget Warhammers account server going down for 3 days. So even though you owned the game unless you set up your account prior to the crash you couldn't play at all until they set it up again and then it lagged a ridiculous amount from people rushing to set up their accounts all at once...
  6. It's called bad luck, also bad financing, why pay an ISP for an internet connection if they keep cutting you? And what part of an opinion do you not understand? I suggest you go look up the words objectivity and subjectivity then you can come back and discuss things. Scaling is not part of the UI it's a customizability option, and I would agree TOR needs more. But on the opinion of why TOR's UI is bad, you've yet to actually say why you hold that opinion. Notice I keep highlighting the world opinion for you? Go look up it's meaning and stop stating yours as fact.
  7. What exactly were you expecting..? Mob density is like it is for a reason, if they had random spawn generators you'd have pulls in solo area's which aren't, y'know, soloable. I partially agree on the type of quests not varying a lot, but then, it's an MMO there is only a finite number of quests you can have with the limitations of the control system. There's no point comparing to DA or ME as they're completely different game types, TOR is a traditional MMO with cutscenes that is all, if you were expecting an enthralling Single Player experience like DA, ME or Skyrim for example then you're estimations of what TOR is are extremely far off. Go play WoW or LOTRo or any other MMO then come back and say TOR's quest design is lack luster, as far as MMO's are concerned it's pretty good.
  8. You do... I've made 0 Money from Crew Skills (spent several thousand on them however) and I'm currently sitting on a healthy 28k at level 24, sure I won't be able to get the speeder skill dead on 25 but will easily have it by 26. I suggest you stop wasting money at the AH or on Vendor armour.
  9. I'll just reply to the OP instead of waiding through 11 pages of what will (most likely) be dribble and non-sensical tripe. Your point? Sure, it's bad if you DC, but you've disconnected, what exactly do you want them to do? As far as the server is concerned you could have just alt F4'd? And how would having server transfers help? Aside from adding unnecessary strain to to the servers which as you already conveniently pointed out are mostly full to capacity - adding server transfers would not only make this worse in of itself but it would cause unnecessary server imbalances from the get go. Ah the ramblings of an uneducated dolt. For starters - queue's are unavoidable, all MMO's (yes, even WoW) at release suffer a sharp drop off, a lot of people buy them then stop playing either indefinitely or for a period of time. Warhammer is the only game I know what didn't suffer from severe queue's, why? Because they released with far too many servers which then a month or so after release created the idea that the game did not have an active playerbase due to server populations thining - which in turn then made them merge several servers which further caused population issues as people spooked as they assumed the game was dying. Queue's are part of MMO release, a decent MMO will release servers as and when needed to avoid unnecessarily long queues (1 hour+) but they won't try get rid of them entirely. Are you honestly this arrogant? For starters, TOR's pre orders exceeded several hundred thousand. How exactly do you expect a team (bearing in mind funds aren't infinite) of lets say, 100 people, to deal with tens of thousands of queries by email? Maybe you should explain what you find bad with the UI, instead of y'know, just complaining. There's this brilliant thing us humans have which is called constructive criticism. Personally I've played everything from UO to TOR (obviously) and TOR by far has the best basic UI, in every game I've played prior I've either tolerated a badly designed UI or used mods such as MoveAnything in WoW to adjust it to my preference. That's the other brilliant thing about Humans, we have opinions which are neither fact or fictious they differ on a person by person basis - stop stating yours as the be all and end all. The forums have been up for 4 years, what are you getting at? Yes, like every other games EGA - ever. To summarize, none of your points are coherent, you ramble on about 'problems' but offer no solutions in most cases you haven't actually explained any reasoning behind any of this incoherent babble. Good day.
  10. This. Server forums are a must, especially with the number of servers TOR has.. how are guilds meant to recruit? Lets say, 20 guilds per every 10 servers wants to recruit.. that's 200 threads in one location - that's not viable. Not to mention, while they can create conflict, they can also create a great community sense on a server, which is one of the key elements of an MMO - please, please, please do not forget that Bioware, don't kill this games community like Blizzard killed WoW's.
  11. Except Star Wars is set across multiple planets, WoW isn't. You can't run from Kalimdor to Eastern Kingdoms without a loading screen just like you can't run from Nar Shaddaa to Balmorra without a loading screen. I think anyone who tries say WoW is more of an MMO than any other game is ridiculous. WoW catered SO much to convenience, you can literally do everything in game sitting in the AH in Stormwind/Orgrimmar (and that's not an exaggeration, the only things you can't do from there are quests and achievements), WoW has become more of a Single Player with multiplayer elements than any MMO in existence all on the basis it catered to the convenience of individual players and removed any need to actually talk to other people.
  12. You mean all that stuff that killed the WoW community? Okay then. Dual spec is fine, I wouldn't mind it, that or make respec'ing cheap (2,000 creds or so would be fine). But cross server queues? No thanks, I actually value community in MMO's.
  13. Rift had the first level capped toon within 18 hours of Pre release going live, I fail to see an issue?
