  1. Gifts make all decisions moot for affection. (unless there's one where you tell him you don't love him and its over between you) Cultural Artifacts, Imperial Memoriabelia(sp), would do the trick
  2. I tend not to use titles for about the same reasons. Seeing people walking around with "the Double Agent" might be the most immersion breaking for me. my Operative => Bryden Zildrohar my Sniper => Ci'rhana
  3. The giggle or chuckle is your Operative recognizing/realizing they have a Tactical Advantage - a weakness viewed in their opponent that can be exploited to gain the upper hand in a fight. EMBRACE IT!!
  4. Using a blaster pistol to kill people in cutscenes A VibroKnife that states on its tooltip "This weapon is only used by special abilities" when its clear you don't need to have one equipped to execute those abilities. I see P. Diddy in a BioWare T-shirt looking intensely at Imperial Agents "I'm mind-f**king you right now...Do you feel it?"
  5. I found it amusing in my brief travels there how bad the infestation was. Tarkin did the Galaxy a favor testing the Deathstar there it seems.
  6. Cunning based VKnives are definately sparse. I had a decent drop rate of greens on Alderaan - actually put them on the market at decent prices. Secondary and Tertiary stats were pretty fubar tho (+Shield really?!?) Awesome VKnives with +Aim is a definite slap in the face. I lol'd at the high prices listed on the GTN, but Im sure they get some sales regardless... I guess they aren't craftable either - never seen one, but that may mean they're getting snapped up quick. Every Weapon vendor (credits or Commendations) should sell VKnives for us. Its an offhand weapon just like a blaster would be. I see 3 or 4 variations of +Cunning Rifles/Snipes/Pistols - along with +Aim stuff too - all Modable. Popping a few Blue VKnives shouldn't be too hard.
  7. Research Chapter 1 bug threads before you do anything else. At this point I *THINK* you still have the option to reset your quest and give yourself every option. There are 4 ways you can progress (provided you are at a certain point and have NOT completed "A New Epoch of Fear"). good luck !!
  8. IIRC Balmorra Bonus quest rewards you with a grey moddable uniform chest. Hammer Station drops for IAs are imperial uniforms (hat is blue grade, but pants and chest are moddable) I received white versions of the uniform as quest rewards for Tattooine (solo stuff not Heroic), but they were greens so just for show.
  9. Black Talon has a LS/DS choice that actually impacts gameplay. Lightside gets you a boss fight with 3 linked strong mobs plus standard adds, Darkside gets you a single Elite/Champion that spawns standard adds over time that can be AoE'd or ignored. DarkSide also nets you more droids to scavenge ;-P. Ive never run Esseles so Im not sure if those choices have the same boss changing outcomes. Choices have a bit of morality involved, but if you are a By the Book Imp or at all bloodthirsty - Choice one is easy. The second choice is a bit sticky - end it quick (with malice) nets DS points. Retrieve the target for long term incarceration AND definite torture nets LS points. Weird... Its one of the things that makes playing a By the Book IA tough RP wise - Black Talon will net me 0 gain LS/DS points wise.
  10. similar to a small extent - Nothing in the FP says you need to kill them. Plus the engineers there are clearly enemies since they hijacked the ship. Dealing with them one way or the other is a bonus to the interaction IIRC.
  11. Think this shares one of the Battlemaster models
  12. In my limited experience with DoTs - spending talent points to make them better has usually shortened the time til they finish (500 points in 6 seconds changed to 500 points in 3 seconds). Prolonging the damage is ok I suppose, but how many fights are going to end before the DoT gets full effect? I'd say up the damage or make the time til full damage is done shorter. Give us more iiBANG!!
  13. It would be nice if we could pop something there - say a "toy" blaster just for stats. but eh I do find it strange that he'll jump on mobs we fight and start punching them. Putting him in passive mode means he stops healing too. IIRC Mako is ranged so she stays out of the fights (ocassionally shooting from a distance), but TooVee gets to eat AoEs like a champ...
  14. there are about 15 threads concerning this on these forums - unfortunately people don't look for help until they are frustrated and its too late. 4 endings to this encounter. LS points - no fight => "Blackmail" LS points - fight => "Hero of the People" DS points - fight => "Defender of the Empire" DS points - no fight => "Tyranny Triumphant" For LS points/no fight you have to know its available and exactly how to get it - there's definately a point of no return. If you pass this point you have the other 3 options available. If you are reading this - its probably too late for you to choose LS points/no fight. Look to the chapter 1 threads for info. Its not impossible, another level, some upgraded gear, or even spending 10K credits to hire a bountyhunter to tag along will work wonders for your sanity. for my run - I lvl to 35, used Vector as a DPS dot (Kali in Sniper stance might have worked well too) and basically ran around the computers at the bottom of the steps. Using ranged attacks and Corrosive Dart were the key. If you stand toe to toe with him you will have a difficult time. He breaks his own CC on your companions quite a bit, so don't fret too much about that. good luck
  15. I got a white tunic and hat as quest rewards on Tatooine (greens and unmoddable tho) - kept them around for fun. Hammer Station FP for moddable Grey Chest (believe it has a bandolier instead of braids tho) - black hat to go with from there as well. The "Terminator" Goggles can be acquired from the Terminal Injuries 2+ heroic on Nar Shaddaa - Flexiglass Battle Headgear (orange and moddable) if you so desire.
  16. Jacket is a reward from the Hunger of the Vrblthers Heroic 4 on Nar Shaddaa
  17. I leveled up to 35 and upgraded my gear and Kaliyo's too. I ended up using Vector in his default gear to beat him tho. Dragged him down the first flight of steps and used the consoles there to LoS his attacks. When he'd CC Vector his next attack was usually an AoE slam that broke CC so I didn't have to worry about dispelling. I know I did a poor job of interrupting specific attacks - just tried to keep him interrupted as I could - LoSing his attacks was really the key. Vector did most of the damage and I kept him aggroed on me with Corrosive dart and grenades. (mostly Concealment spec) Took a couple of tries to get passed the first phase, but after that it was easier.

    Kaliyo

My IA believes that the Sith are the biggest threat to the Empire, Kaliyo's dislike for authority fits in well with that. I still get plenty of -1s for helping out my fellow Imperial citizens, but I'll take that. Kali also doesn't mind too much when I flirt and fade to black (stictly business of course). There's also this: Kaliyo's Lips > Watcher Two's Lips
  19. great work folks thanks for the images
  20. is there a Commendation vendor that sells VKnives? TORHead lists the Tral-tech Technician's Knife (lvl 33) but cant give a location for the vendor. Ive looked at Tatooine and Alderaan Commendation vendors (and standard vendors too) and cant find one. Maybe Im being blinded by the 15 types of moddable lightsabers in the lists
  21. What chestpiece is that in the 1st and 3rd images? Ive got my agent in a Flexiglass Battle Jacket (rewarded from Hunger of the Vrblthers Heroic 4 on Nar Shaddaa) Most of the armor is light tan with a few darker green highlights - same graphic tho. Ive been looking for pants to match, but haven't found the Mission that rewards them (TorHead and DarthHater list Glitch but thats not it - and the level on Building a Better Beast seems too high) I really like the asymmetrical armor elements for an Operative
  22. Vibroknives with +Aim make baby Malgus cry
  23. GTN needs to be cross faction and EVERYWHERE. 10% - 20% surcharge for buying an item from your faction. 20% - 40% surcharge for buying an item from the opposite faction. The Hutts would be all over this - they'd actually be killing people to corner the GTN kiosk market. Money coming in from people posting items - and money coming in from people buying those items. From a 'Lore' perspective - Imps and Reps are both trying to get the Hutts on their side - what better way to show good faith then allowing them to place kiosks everywhere and make profits from it. It wouldn't cost the governments anything - Hutts absorb all the startup costs and the governments may get a kickback from profits, but definately believe they are building good will with a potential ally. We are in a total Cold War situation - all of the non criminal fighting is done behind the scenes with covert strike teams and all that jazz. Cross faction purchasing should fit in without a problem since we have a 'neutral' 3rd party in the Hutts. Add sending a companion to pick up an item you want to buy from the GTN (I can do that from an iPhone right now - order a pizza for pickup and send a minion to go get it) AND post items for sale on the GTN from your personal HoloComm (same as eBay). If I have to send a companion to deliver the item to the buyer (whoever won the bid) then so be it. BW needs another money sink - this will work. BW needs to simplify the GTN and remove their system requirements for maintaining multiple versions (Republic, Empire and Hutt) We need better access to resources, items, services. We have tools built in that have the capability to do things far beyond pickup and delivery, but they can't be tasked with doing it? No reason that a droid that will do anything I ask it to, regardless of its skill set, won't go pickup an item from a delivery spot and bring it back to me where ever I am - I send it to the outer rim constantly. I'd challenge BW to come up with arguments against from a Lore perspective. Unifying the various GTNs could possibly free up some system resources too.
  24. DS/LS decisions are being rated arbitrarily tho. In Black Talon - there are 2 choices that earn alignment (tho there are several actions that probably warrant it). The final choice is to bring a severely damaged man back to your superiors to be tortured until he dies - a fact supported by the dialog leading up to the decision or to kill right there. Yes - the kill option is done with a bit of malice, but it is definately the more merciful choice. Kill quick = DS. Retrieve for torture = LS. As an Imperial Agent RPing Black Talon will almost always net me neutral gain - I choose one DS and one LS choice. Its not indecision - the choices were made according to the storyline. Its a conscious choice not to game the system, but to play the game.
