Without any actual information, I don't consider it a new "expansion", it's just part two of the current one.

I can add however that when I seen the promotion, I logically clicked on it to see further details and also created this thread to find out what this promo was all about. So you can put a check in the "clicked on promo in launcher and received coins" column. We'll see if your theory gets put to the test.

Expect one after chapter 16. BioWare won't pass on an opportunity to hype us up with their cinematic trailer because that's one thing that they are complete beast at.

It was something we knew was coming, and we already had an idea of how season 2 would play out anyways. There was never anything to get hyped about. This announcement is one of the reasons I am not a big fan of developers always wanting to announce stuff at big events. In this situation they can't say anything without spoiling their finale of season 1, so they end up not saying anything at all. Maybe once the Catina event is over(if it isn't already) and more information sprinkles out of there we might get something worthwhile, but most likely they have a trailer and some news planned for the developer stream post chapter 16 where we should get a good chunk of information.

The coins were never going to come on the 7th, impossible for them to come on the 7th when the cut off was midnight on the 7th how could they come on the 7th, like I don't even. On on the 8th, they told us when it was coming, it came. Maybe BioWare messed up something with the promotion, maybe they didn't. Would love for BioWare to take a page out of Blizzard's book and call out the people lying in this topic.

Going forward, targeted promotions seem to be the wrong way to go about things. The one for preferred or free players a few months back, seemed to work out fine, but this promotion seems all random. Some subs seen it, some preferred seen it, and it seems that some of those subs got their coins, and some of the preferred got their coins, just a right mess. And it's not like the subs were from a certain date either, just a selected at random, this doesn't seem like something to be repeated. Seems a lot simpler to just give subs some bonus cartel coins here and there. And for people expecting a BioWare answer, unlikely to happen. They have the London Cantina event this weekend with all the other Star Wars stuff going on, they're most likely there right now.

Numerous people have gotten the coins, myself included. If everyone didn't get their coins, this topic would be 220 pages long, not just 22.

This is false. I am a sub, I got the promotion in my launcher, I received the cartel coins today. So people who are subs, got coins. Maybe some didn't, maybe some people are delusional and thought they saw a promotion where none actually are, it's hard to tell with this forum. But at the end of the day, at least some people who were subs prior to this promotion(as in, did not sub during the week or so the promo ran) received their coins. Giving out false information does nobody any good.

Not every person in this promotion is a new player, I for one, am not, but yet I was selected. It's all random, and at the end of the day it's 500 coins, enough to unlock a random thing in collections, not game breaking. But this is the BioWare forums, and a decade plus of playing BioWare games has taught me they have one of the most entitled bunch of crybabies for fans than any other company out there.

Either keep playing the game, or stop playing the game. Every MMO has a lull where they don't release content for a few months, at least SWTOR left us with the dark vs light side event during this time period, other MMOs just do nothing for over a year until they can throw another 50 dollar expansion our way. Though I don't expect the gap between season 1 and season 2 to be that long. I feel season 1 worked out, so copying the release schedule should be their plan. 10 or so chapters in November, with subsequent ones following starting in February. The HK chapter should come in September or October. That or have a longer gap between seasons, but throw us ops content and other non story content in the fall.

People have a very hard time understanding this. Even if BioWare came out with a date that it would come out, let's say July 10th, people would still make posts complaining every day til July 10th that they haven't gotten their coins yet.

Obviously the coins would have never come yesterday or today. As for when they come, who knows. BioWare could have easily mentioned in this live stream, they chose not to, they can easily come out and say what day the coins come out, they won't. Meh it's BioWare, if I get the coins, good, if they never show up, meh it's BioWare.

The coins aren't coming today. They never come today, ask tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that.

It was 90 CC coins for so long, it should just stay that way. But I wager it was just forgotten about, until some guy at EA realized that he could be making more money by raising the price back up, so now it's never going back down again. 10 bucks to transfer characters from one server to another is a complete joke, it's not as bad as WoW is, but that's only because EA doesn't think they can get away with it, if they thought they could they would. I wouldn't be surprised if come chapter 2 of KotFE, each chapter costs 5 dollars and alerts were 2 dollars. Nothing they do can surprise me. EA executives will run over an old lady, and instead of getting out to check on her, they'll steal her purse and drive away.

My Wrath is the descendant of Malak. He is currently involved in a blood feud with the Revan line. So I really do hope the option to kill Theron comes soon, same with his mommy. And Scourge as well, allies of the Revan also need to be dealt with.

On my Warrior I picked the Empire first, stripper second, and since politicians are the weeds of the galaxy I will probably keep this choice the same for every character in the future unless this choice actually has importance later on in the story.

Ever since chapter 12, I always figured Valkorian won't be back until season 2. Perhaps he'll show up in the final scene with a small conversation but I don't expect anymore out of him. SCORPIO as well, be dealt with in season 2. I expect season 2 to deal with a lot of the origins of the eternal fleet, the origins of the gravestone, etc. Also in season 2, this is where the Republic and Empire come back in to play. I don't see BioWare actually going out and handling this the correct way(Republic players help Republic, Imperials help out Empire) so I figure it'll be a conversation or two and we'll go back to forgetting they actually exist. They never really got choices actually branching out to separate quests in single player games, I doubt they'll get it here either. As for the season finale, I expect Arcann and Vaylin to be dealt with, either death, joining the Alliance, or just straight up disappearing(the light side way to handle things, don't do anything, someone else will clean it up). Also that line that Marr said, about people dying, I'm 90% sure it's meant to just be random people with no name that nobody cares about, that's kind of how BioWare does things, they'll kill of a million people but none of them matter so the number doesn't matter. Though I would love for this chapter to be similar to Mass Effect 2 suicide mission where we get to pick and choose who we want to live and who we want to die. There are a lot of companions, we need to clean them out.

I didn't pay for KotFE. I'm a sub to this game. And I didn't see any whining, I made a comparison to the two games. WoW doesn't have any rewards for subscribers, SWTOR does.
