  1. The only thing this thread proves is that developers shouldn't listen to their playerbase. This is just sad.
  2. I switch between heals and dps often, and honestly grinding BM as a healer is far more of an effort than a tank or dps has to put in. As a dps even in my losing games I get as much if not more valor than I do in my winning healing games. Edit: Its is also worth noting that the new objective medals will widen this gap since any smart healer will support the team while they complete objectives and will rarely directly complete any themselves.
  3. Players who are annoyed tend to play poorly. A game that has annoying mechanics tends to agitate the players. When agitated most people don't enjoy their experience and just find it an annoyance. Its a nice circle. There is no excuse for poorly designed mechanics, a game's difficulty should be in its creativity not in lack of user friendly design and bugs.
  4. Actually I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that you had a logical argument. The argument that "anything that can't be bursted down in 1v1 is overpowered" isn't logical in a game where every class can avoid getting bursted in 1v1.
  5. I haven't had any problems winning against healers in 1v1 duels, so you're either exaggerating or don't actually play a healer. In warzones its a different story, because it is a team game and there is the option of running so it really is never a 1v1. However I don't think they're any harder than tanks to kill, and they certainly don't do more damage. In my opinion as someone who has played both a healer and dps , against an organized groups healers are underpowered however against an unorganized group healers are overpowered and can easily turn the tide. Ranked warzones will definitely bring out the utility of healers and tanks, however dps have all the tools to compete and do their jobs.

    Sage Self Healing

Pretty much this Though I guess if a team is dumb enough to leave a healer on defense then they'd be dumb enough to complain about this sort of thing as well.
  7. Forgot the part where the dps runs around the pillar LoSing you while you're trying to maintain max distance then wonders why they die
  8. You're the only one who flat out said you're angry... so are you commenting about yourself o_O?
  9. So you think a system where you know 100% you'll be fully geared in less than 100 bags is worse than a system where you could open 500 and still not have all the champion pieces? If there is something you should cry about its probably that Ilum was much easier prepatch making it really easy for people to get an extra 10 bags a week. Current system gears you up much quicker than the old one anyone who tells you otherwise is lying or got extremely lucky.
  10. And you have to understand that in some people's eyes you're the one getting free gear here. The old system was too random, I personally got 4 champ weapons which is pretty useless, and countless offhands while never getting certain pieces. What you want is the best of both worlds, sorry thats not the way things work or should work. You want gear to just get handed to you because you logged in, atleast the way it is now you can predict your gear advancement and you wont get stuck on not having one or two pieces of gear that you're constantly pvping to get but keep on getting the same old tokens.
  11. This. There is really no way for a sorc healer to beat you 1v1 unless you're afk.
  12. The thing is if someone wants medals exploiting healing ones is the worst way of getting them. They might as well spec dps and double their medal count. While the healing statistic is open to inflation by healing non-player caused damage, keep in mind that over healing doesn't count so any healing numbers up are there cause someone was hurt and got healed.
  13. The reason they're heal tanking is because they're in heavy armor. If it was healing alone then ops/smugglers and sorc/sages would be just fine as well. quite frankly a fully debuffed person will die no matter how much heals you're pumping into them, only thing that might save them is a guard since the healer can still heal the tank thats guarding at maximum efficiency.
  14. Either that or you're exaggerating. There is a really really really easy way of proving this imbalance exists, the toolbars for every skill each class has is available go read them.
  15. This. Damage taken by itself is a useless stat to compare, should also look at protection and deaths for a more complete picture, either way this thread has no proof it just assumes that every game will have the same outcome as the OPs limited experience.
  16. After playing the sith warrior story I must say the SI story line is inferior in every way.
  17. QFT, it was said on second page how did the discussion not end there is beyond me.
  18. Well you're wrong. My guess you don't even play a sorc or you would have noticed the jump animation by now. Just because you keep on telling yourself you're right doesn't mean its actually true, sorc have to jump in the air before their knockback triggers causing the animation delay. There is no lightning involved at all, another proof that you don't even play a sorc. If you spec into it after your knock back your opponents will be rooted and see lightning at their feet but again that has nothing to do with the knockback.
  19. Interrupts aren't the only way of stopping a cast. Use your head and your problem will be solved.
  20. You dont need sages to do this, you can just pass the ball to anyone set up at those positions.
  21. Or maybe you just fail A LOT during your play time. Just a thought.
  22. Only real benefit to it in this game is that you make it really really hard for people to click target you if you're constantly moving.
  23. This really sums it up. A lot of these bugs have been around since beta testing, how is this acceptable? I understand having limited resources for development however no matter how great of a game you make if it is riddled with bugs it will become an annoying experience for the players. No one will remember how great the game was because their experience was ruined with lack of user friend interface, and bugs they'd encounter in every aspect of the game. If beta testing was any indication, this game was not ready for release. They had a good long list of game breaking bugs to work on. They had plenty of good suggestions to improve gaming experience to work on. These are not the sort of things you work on after release, after release you work on increasing content, and improving balance with minimal bug fixes. Right now it seems like there are so many bugs in the game that the developers should be spending the majority of their time trying to fix the game instead of trying to expand/fine tune it.
  24. Because 500k damage isn't something you see every match, only time when this happens is when there is a deadlock in voidstar which in itself isn't that common. As a dps sorc you'd be lucky if your shields get you 30~50k healing, but it certainly wouldn't mean you'll do well on damage because the way shields work is you only get awarded healing if they take damage which means you are getting beat on. Now try putting the two together. As a healing sorc you'll never do 500k damage, so don't think thats even a concern. Once again exaggerations just make you look ignorant.
