This game is following in the steps of another major failure...Star Trek: Online. In my opinion, SW:TOR in 1 year at max will be F2P and if not...only the loyal fans play the game with servers merging to have more than 10 ppl on one planet. Players are going to move on to Guild Wars 2, Diablo 3, or any other game that is more than half-way done. S = Start W = Working T = The O = Official R = Replacement

Well, Guild Wars is coming out soon...I think they will have world pvp ready to go, which means that a lot of players from here might go and check it out. I know I am and if it even half way better than this...I will convert. I mean, when players are having to swap kill trades to do something in the game...well that is a sad development of the game itself. What is also sad, its like 1 planet for lv 50's...really?

Well...I switched to Rep. side for the fun of the community; however there is no community now. Spent over 30 minutes trying to get in a mid-lv flash point...didn't happen. I know this much, if Ilum isn't fixed and soon, Rep. players will just boycott it and then the servers that are empired controlled will have a gear inbalance bigger than ****. Then what will BW do...follow the same suit at blizzard have to start giving it in Warzones because their world pvp is crap.

I just want to know why it is so hard to find flash-point groups around mid-level (28-35). I have tried several times either by joining or creating groups to only have them fall apart because we can't find a tank or healer. Any suggestions? Should I grind to lv 50? Should I ignore all the flash points except end game? I am at a lost for a casual player that wants to see some content as I progress.

"Walton" is out of touch with MMO's imo. The conclussion, "If a game is to be successful with a broader audience, it has to be more fun, more directed, more accessible, and faster-paced." This basically said imo, "I better be able to get to max lv and get all the **** I want with minimum effort, by 1 month, or your game is crap." This is diffently a Post-WOW comment here. I feel sorry for those that actually sat in on this lecture.

Oh, no I wasn't looking for a PvP game, I was just asking what people thought it was at the moment. I believe players are PvP'ing more because of the gear I see, on a lot of lv 50's. I am hoping there is a PvE rise when I get to lv 50. I want to raid and such along with some guild PvP later on. I will admit, I went back to WoW about 6 months ago and my guild was mostly wearing nothing but PvP gear...raiding stopped, and players were saying the same thing as here. It's easier to acquire PvP gear, than raid 2 months and see the same gear dropped that no one needs. Oh well, I have 36 more levels to enjoy and I hope there is something at the end worth continuing to play for, "besides" starting another character. Thanks for the inputs.

I haven't been playing the game long and currently at lv 14 republic Consular Shadow. I been seeing some nice gear so, I will inspect the players and all I see is PvP gear. I am just wondering, because BioWare made tons of video's and answered a lot of questions about the PvE side of the game. They imo pushed the PvE aspect of the game as awesome, and don't get me wrong, the movie/story-line is great, I really like it. I just do not see many players that are lv 50 w/ PvE gear...I inspected about 20 players in the last few days they mostly have Champion or Battlegear on. I am not sure, but it seems to be the easiest gear to obtain...am I correct? Anyhow, just wonder what is the thought on this? Should I do the flash points at all if the gear isn't up to the PvP standards. I was told raid gear is equal to Battlegear, but that player said raid's at this time are sort of broken. I am not sure, which way to go now.

I was just in a warzone - we had 10 players and the highest was lv 15 and we were up against all lvl 20's +. It was so awesome with the boost that we couldn't do anything really but roll over and die 3 seconds or less. Hey BW if you can't figure out how to do pvp, just go ahead and copy what WoW has done. It isn't the best but at least you would get some of it right. In all honesty I have been back at WoW, because at least they have Arena's, BG's, Macro's, and allowed UI adjustments (something this game is lack for at least another 3 - 6 months, if it last that long)

The next, next patch will address the issues of Dec-Jan...and then the Next, next patch will address the issues from the previous,pervious patch. Then the cycle is born, nothing solid gets fixed until 6-8 months down the road when players have moved on to new games...Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2 and a few others coming out. Good Luck BW, you honestly need it.

BW has to ways to go: Give players what the want (easy mode) or make it hard (nerf bat). Easy Mode: means less fixes more ways to acquire gear easier for those that didn't get on the PvP bandwagon to begin with. (could get mixed reviews - some might leave and others might say because of it) Nerf Bat: They rebalance the classes (global cool down on stuns, buff the warriors (melee), examine the AoE dmg of classes, etc.) They fix issues, bugs in the game, and focus more on current content fixes instead of releasing new content. (Draw back to this is - harder for players to acquire gear that others have already obtain, which means less fun for them until they can get it, by then completely behind power-curve when they do acquire gear). The insane mode: They try and work on both of the above mention at the same time to please everyone, but pick and choose which ones are more important. (alienate the players no matter what they choose because they can't please everyone). GOOD LUCK!!!! - see in 3 months if the player base is still new or is it the die hard fanboys and dedicated players that are just Hoping the next, next patch will fix the game.

I am just going to say, "it's your fault you power-leveled to end game and their is nothing more to do that you believe should be there." You could start doing raids and such and if you already conquered them, then see what I said above.

Issues: Geared Players - champion pvp gear mostly - Battlegear players (guilds) starting to show up - (2 - 4 hits on players not in PvP gear - equal death, 2 - hits on 10-30 players) AoE - Balance issues for range extremely potent. Stealth / Range classes - burst dmg potent. Stuns - No global cool down Servers - Empire owned (general ratio estimated 5:1 on each server - some have worse and others are probably 2:1) but Empire still holds the server. Raids - What Raids - I see most players hanging out at the PvP area (on the fleet) or doing dailies on Ilum. I think 3 - 6 months of constant updates and the game might be somewhat better or people will abandon it like they did Vanguard...rofl
