  1. I finally managed to get the entire Triumvirate armor set: Quite happy with the result. Not sure if I'll dye it later or just keep it as is. (I realize it's kind of an odd choice of armor for a Jedi, but I find I just really enjoy the look for whatever reason.)
  2. @Kagi - I get ya; I was just saying it felt a little awkward because of it was all. Like I said, maybe it's just me; I'm nitpicky like that.
  3. I like the idea, but there are a couple bits that feel awkward to me.* - It just feels like it hews too closely to the Jedi/Sith codes which (at least for me) never really felt all that well thought out to begin with. I did a couple versions since I'm not sure which I like better and I didn't feel they fit together very well: Version 1 (I really liked your first line and wanted to carry the sentiment throughout) - There are no individuals, there is only the squad. The squad is my family; I will protect my family, and they will protect me; Alone we are useless, together we achieve the impossible; Teamwork, Courage, Victory For the Republic! -------- Version 2 We are fearless, for our armor is strong; We are bold, for our weapons are powerful; We are invincible, for our teamwork is flawless; We are Havoc Squad, victory for the Republic! Just some random ideas. Great idea for a thread btw < . .> *Could be just me - not saying it's bad or anything.
  4. That's not been true of any weapon I've seen so far. I grant I haven't been looking particularly hard since ~ level 17ish when I stopped worrying about the assault cannons; but at least to that point they had the same rating so long as they were the same level and rarity.
  5. Quick warning: I'm only level 24 - it may well be by end-game this becomes completely non-viable and stupid. I don't know. I do know it's worked absolutely fine thus-far. ------ I didn't like the Vanguard playstyle* and didn't like the idea of using a Commando because of the Assault Cannon. Then I discovered something: Depending on how you spec and play, you don't necessarily NEED the assault cannon. Why? Because the AC doesn't seem to do any more damage than a rifle - it's only purpose seems to be to enable certain skills. If you spec Assault rather than Gunnery, most of the skills affected by your spec and your new abilities are Rifle usable. Now this does mean you cannot use either Charged Bolts or Hail of Bolts; for some that may be a serious problem, but I personally wasn't particularly fond of either skill. Mortar Volley is better than Hail of Bolts against the kind of mobs I want to use it on, and rifle usable, albeit on a longer cooldown; and Charged Bolts is vying for ammunition with other things like Incendiary Round, Plasma Grenade, Full Auto and even Stock Strike. None of which it really beats out, and it's rare I find I'm in a position where I have lots of spare ammo lying around. Basically I rely a lot on burning things - Plasma Grenade + Incendiary Round + Plasma Cell builds up quite a DOT in short order, and is usually overkill on mobs you'll fight solo. It's also just plain old fun to light everything on fire imo. Mmm... pyromania. Now all that said: Again I'm only level 24. By 50 it could very well be that this is non-functional; but so far everything has gone quite well. *Or if I'm more specific - I hate that it seemed as a Vanguard I wasn't using my rifle to shoot actual blaster bolts very often. That... was bothersome. I still don't put out as many blaster rounds as I'd like but at least this way I get a little more.
