  1. Well honestly if they modified the ability to have some extra benefit to defence (besides the CoP cooldown reduction) such as 10% avoidance or additional damage reduction, It would be totally worth it. The benefits right now are just too lack luster. The best course of action would be to replace the COP talent with a talent that makes the ability a short 1-2 sec stun as well. Since its purpose on marauders is clearly to foil an evading target like another marauder or op it would actually shutdown their evade properly instead of wasting your rage that you can just save till their evade is over. I don't see that solution being too terribly unfair.
  2. Yup, To make it worth using on a maurader ever it needs to cost 1 or no rage and have a longer cooldown or do slightly less damage and build rage. Right now, though I made the decision that I would rather have fleet pass on my sidebar then retal.
  3. It does less damage than vicious slash for the same rage( or more rage if you have the talent for refunds on VC). You are better off stockpiling your rage for a rage dump when other things come off cooldown. If you consistently dump your rage on proper abilitys there should be no reason or room for it. I would only use it if I had the talent for CoP cooldown and was offtanking to some degree.
  4. Only reason to level anything but anni is if you want it to be more challenging. I don't think the others are that much slower at killing but the self healing in anni makes downtime a non issue and everything a joke to kill. You also don't have to use a healer pet with anni if you don't want to. Where as with the other specs 40-50 its pretty much required to have a healer pet if you don't want to sweat bullets every time you pull elites + others.
  5. Man, does anyone remember what it was like before wow spoiled the crap out of everyone? Even in the BWL days in that game there was a threat ceiling with the drakes and everyone just had to be good enough at their job to do it properly. DPS had to watch their numbers and KNOW when they were bursting too hard and tanks had to count off their wing buffets. Every raider had to be comfortable with their tank and know their limits or their own. Man back in the day when people actually had to be decent at a game to get anywhere.... you had to test threat mechanics yourself to quantify them. It's like physics with differential equations vs high school physics. In one they hand you the equations and you plug in the numbers and don't give it a second thought. In the other they make you go get the equations yourself. So put on your big boy pants, go test threat mechanics yourself, don't raid with baddies, and stop crying about everything thats not made easy for you. I swear, its like mmo's these days are a preschool playground.

  7. The sorc purge has a 4.5 second cooldown that removes 2 debuffs and heals them instantly. all 3 stacks of deadly count as a single debuff. They can get rid of your all your dots every 4.5 seconds. Rupture and all 3 stacks of deadly saber. 1 gcd. You just spent at least 4 gcds putting those up. In fact if they dispel rupture right away they will be able to dispel again by the time all 3 of your DS's are stacked. And then your snare is gone too and they can casually walk away from you. Their shield absorbs ~3400 in bad gear. They can and will keep your dots down. Test it if you like. Fight one of the sorcs thats healing in your guild and tell him to spam purge and shield himself as soon as your dots go up. tell him to prioritize that above all else and see what happens. I guarantee hes not even gonna need to run from you. like i said before... I have been die hard anni since the second week of 50 and I really really wish I could still be that spec. Its great. Everything about it is awesome. But I can't use that spec on my server anymore. Because in the games that matter, The ones against the hard teams, they q with 2 or more people who have a dispell. Anni becomes unusable for me. I can understand that its not like that on your server yet. Thats awesome. Enjoy Anni while it lasts because my opinion is that its the best spec. (non of this is sarcasm)
  8. I agree. If its not your play style, it's not your play style. Doesn't mean its bad. Trust me I wouldn't use a spec with subpar damage. If i was constantly not top damage in a warzone or didn't feel like i was killing anyone I would switch specs.
  9. If you think for a second ravage is the main damage dealing ability in carnage, that is why you don't think its any good. ravage is not a "use it every time its up" ability. It's situational and should only be used after your target has used any escape or knock back it has. How is it that mmos have gotten this popular and whenever a new one comes out people don't realize how powerful a dispel is until 6 months after release. A dispel that gets rid of rupture and deadly saber in ONE SHOT is effectively a preemptive heal for well over 6k plus 10% damage to you by preventing the healing you would have done to yourself PLUS a rage starve. That is more powerful then any casted heal or damage ability they have. If they dispel the ball carrier you are hitting and simply throw a shield on them it could be the squishiest target in the game and they can waltz right across the goal line while laughing at your pathetic damage from annihilate and um.... annihilate. If you fail to see this thats your own problem. In a couple of weeks when the healers on your server figure that out, good luck. As the most popular example Ill use affliction locks vs dispel in wow. There was a point where purge got so obnoxious that they had to add an ability that would nuke and silence a person when they used a dispel on their dots. Guess what. Later down the road, even with that it was STILL worth it to dispel their dots. So you might think your king of the world and the most skilled and experienced person on the planet but to me all I see is someone who cant do simple math.
  10. I'm sorry but if people don't dispel your server is not a tough pvp server. Getting rid of even 3 ticks of deadly saber is at least 3900 damage, 6-9% of your health, and whatever rage it would have generated. Anyone who doesnt dispell everything is an idiot.
  11. didn't take as long as i thought to find. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=1931343#edit1931343
  12. I'll dig it up. Gimme a bit I'm still at work.
  13. And before anyone says "well the healers wont be there all the time". No one cares about a side fight that happens in the pit or on the side. They will be there when it matters. When the ball is headed toward the goal line.
  14. you are absolutely correct. Until they get dispelled. Then they have the least uptime.
