  1. Here's my current gear.. Just anxiously awaiting my Champion chest now, I think it looks pretty damn awesome. The T2 pve set looks decent too, because it has a hood. xD http://i.imgur.com/oWTmu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Zm87K.jpg
  2. Opened a ton of them myself, got my legs, boots, x3 bracers. Some people get really lucky Don't like this system!
  3. Didn't realize you got gladiator at 30.. Same problem with me then I guess.
  4. I'm curious, do your alts get the CE items? I've made a couple but haven't received them in the mail.
  5. This is like playing KoToR and quitting within 10minutes because you don't have your lightsaber yet. The game starts off at a slow simmer and only gets better and better, imo. You can go back for datacrons, harvesting, collecting codex entries.. In other games, when you finish questing in a zone/area, is there some magical reason to go back to it that this game lacks? Not following your logic here.
  6. While they are objective based, not EVERY single person in the group needs to focus on doing it. A concealment Operative causing havoc, taking out enemies will let your friends complete the objectives that much easier. The shield preventing people from hopping back into the action immediately can be nasty sometimes, best to have has many enemies behind it at once as possible.
  7. Err, how is talking about combat with certain companions off topic in a thread about using companions with a certain spec? In a role focused on hard hitting melee attacks, of which we only have 3(out of stealth, of course), I'd assume all 3 would want to be used as much as possible. Since one requires you to be behind the mob, a tank would prove most useful I would say, no? Also.. Just because I'm using backstab on a "static" (do yours not count as static because you run in circles?), doesn't mean I can't control fights with my CC. They work just as well from behind. So my vote as a concealment spec'd Op while soloing, is to use a tank so you can take advantage of your skills. I do use Doc in 2 man groups I end up in with a tank though.
  8. I'm not sure how being hit by the mob = in control. Without me, Kaliyo would die, and without her, so would I. Do you really only backstab when your stun/flashbang is up? Seems like a waste, especially once we have acid blade. Nade works on the weaker mobs, but on strongs where a nice acid bladed backstab would come in handy, not so much xD
  9. Acid Blade is pretty much amazing.. 50% armor pen... What more could you want. =O I can't think of one class I couldn't take in a 1v1 really, at this point in the game anyways. Never know whats going to happen when everyone is 50 with pvp gear. For now, I completely steam roll anyone =x
  10. The one thing I do like more about Scoundrels is the offhand shotty. Pretty damn awesome.. though we have a rifle instead of a blaster, so it kinda balances out.
  11. Whats the point of running/jumping around npcs like you would in pvp? I'd think having someone hold aggro so you can backstab would be a lot more efficient. Whatever floats your boat I guess. I recently got the last tank, and I do think I like her more.. but finding droid gear is a lot harder than finding Kaliyo heavy armor.. So I dunno!
  12. Honestly it really comes down to what you prefer. Most people have been using the same keybindings since their first mmo, and it just kinda becomes a habit. Best thing to do is find a setup that works for you and just go out and quest/grind mobs to orient yourself. After awhile it all becomes second nature. I use 1-6, q, e, r, f, and my side mouse buttons/scroll wheel button. I'm also most comfortable with ALT as my modifier for additional keybinds, but some prefer shift or ctrl. I use those at times, but ALT is always used first for me. I like having my utility or "need to use quick in certain situations abilities" on quick easy to hit keybinds. I also try to keep similar abilities together with my main modifier(ALT). For example, my stun is Q, while my flashbang is ALT + Q. My interrupt is E, my escape is ALT + E. Stim Boost is my bottom side mouse button, Adrenaline Probe is Alt + bottom side mouse button. Shield Probe is top side mouse button, Evasion is Alt + top side mouse button. Stealth has been ~ for me in maaany games, so that was a no-brainer. I made my vanish(Cloaking Screen) alt + ~ All my main damaging or healing abilities go to 1-6, or ALT + 1-6. I've seen this linked a couple times, it might help you. It's handy, but I still prefer my own keybinds. http://taugrim.com/2011/04/07/guide-to-strafing-movement-and-keybindings/ Good luck~
  13. It's quite amazing! I still use my dart though.
  14. Been using Kaliyo too, even though I'd rather use someone else. Our last companion is another tank though, I'm on the planet to get her now.. Can't wait!
