  1. Thank you for all the great feedback. I will give my second character a go and try to do only the main storyline quests and see how it goes. But first I have to finish my new playthrough of KotR2 with TSLRCM.
  2. Greetings, Myself like many others decided to return to Star Wars The Old Republic after getting into the Star Wars vibe with the awesome new Star Wars movie, Episode VII: The Force Awakens. I have not played since vanilla, but I decided to go as a subscriber as I hate to be limited by various pay walls within a game. Was only planning to play solo-ish to enjoy the main storyline of Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Jedi Knight and Jedi Sentinel and this worked perfectly with my first character when playing mid-desember. But since then it seems like the awesome 200% experience boost has vanished? After some Google'ing I read that it was only supposed to last until the 1th of January so I guess I'm all out of luck on that one. What I do notice playing without this 200% experience boost is that I' am now forced to do a bunch of meaningless filler content between the main storyline quests as the levelling is taking much longer compared to when having said boost. Sadly I don't really enjoy the filler content of this game. They don't really provide anything meaningful to the main storyline of the various classes and feels like a endless grind just for the sake of making things take longer. I did really enjoy it when I could simply do only the main storyline quests on my Jedi Knight and only do a few of the meaningless filler quest lines if I felt like doing them. But this seems impossible without the 200% experience boost we had during desember. I can't seem to find any official event calendars on SWTor or within the game itself telling about upcoming events like the experience boost we had during desember. Surely such a thing must exist somewhere? Without such an experience boost I'm having a really hard time enjoying the game and it's content so I would really love to have a calender telling me when to start playing in order for me to fully enjoying it for what I find enjoyable in the game. Could someone please point me in the right direction to where one might find better information and details to when one can expect such experience boosts to take place? Best regards, RamGuy
  3. But almost all the early access players have already rolled on a server or are "stuck" in a guild or something. These light server should getting filled up from now (release) up past Christmas when loads of new players starts playing the game. Whom should have filled all these new light servers the past few days when almost every single early access players had already started playing? And the servers status over at SWToR.com is live based, it shows the CURRENT load on the server and not the OVERALL load. This is a MAJOR different. I'm playing on the second most popular European server "Bloodworthy" and in the middle of the night it's listed as light because most players tends to sleep at those hours.
  4. I actually have a way bigger problems with how affection to companions work. I for one play as a LIGHT SIDE Sith Inquisitor Sorcerer, and this renders at least my two first companions useless when it comes to affection towards them. This might be realistic and all that, but it does make me somewhat forced towards playing dark side, even though I don't want to.
  5. This is utterly ********, sorry but it is. I get groups to flashpoints all the time and have done several multiply times and it took me barley a few minutes to get a decent group of players together. And having all flashpoints easily accessible on the fleet is actually making the need for a dungeon finder less obvious. World of Warcraft needed one because they cross-realmed groups and they had their dungeons all over the world, but this is currently not the case with Star Wars The Old Republic and it's way easier getting a DECENT group when actually making your own instead of getting group with random people from other servers. I can't really agree on the high-resolution argument as I have played on 2560x1440 resolution and the scaling seems sufficient? The customization options are nonexistent and that's simply not good enough for a MMO released in 2011. We don't need add-on support and all that mayhem, but the capability to move the different parts of the UI around and scale them to our liking should be implemented as soon as possible. You shouldn't be able to "need" on gear you cannot use, it's as simple as that. Though we have slight different situation in SWToR because of companions. Indeed, such alternatives should always exist. This is a personal preference, I for one like to go to my trainer and feel that I actually pay and receive new stuff instead of just getting them tossed right into my face. No dear God, NO! I agree that add-ons can and might enhance the game experience, but at the same time it always gives players that keep track on add-ons an advantages over other players and we would just get the same mayhem as World of Warcraft. Not to mention all the possible memleaks and all sort of nonsense add-ons might add to the game, and all the whining we'll see as an result of this. I agree, this should and will almost certainly be added. What do you think all this codex and datacron things are?
  6. No guilds have been LOCKED onto any server, they were just guidelines and noone was ever being forced to join the server that Bioware picked for their guild. I'm in the guild Impetus Norvegicus and we were appointed to Chuundar and we are on a different server now.
  7. What do you think happens if they increase the cap right before a wave of new players comes between the official launch today and up past Christmas? Increasing the population cap at the current stage would just open for even more players starting to join and play on already populated servers, is that what you want? It seems like people needs to grow a brain and think more than one hour ahead...
  8. Locking servers are just plain stupid, what about all those whom have guilds, friends and family members on servers? They have paid for this game as everyone else and should be able to join whatever server they like, and play with whomever they chose. Keep the server limit low, so new players will mostly chose the light ones as they don't want queues and then increase the limit when things settles down after a few weeks. But a free character migration could be a option, so people who don't want to deal with full servers are able to migrate to low populated ones, this would benefit both the players on the full servers whom are locked there because of guild, friends and or family members at the same time as people who got higher level characters there already but want to move are able to.
  9. You also have to consider the fact that the http://www.swtor.com/server-status reflects the CURRENT load on the server, so a server might be listed as FULL at prime time, but LIGHT in the middle of the night when most people tend to sleep. Most players seems to completely ignore this, and just whine on about everything without even checking up things in advance..
