  1. Didn't mind Makeb. Haven't gotten stuck anywhere yet and the mobs are ok just have to take your time or plan your path out, found most times just stealth and watch the patrol routes seem to help out. Only problem I found with Makeb was low FPS when I got to the area with all the vendors that killed it for me a few times.
  2. I tried wildstar and I have to say it's not bad but not my cup of tea. Now I'm not going to support this OH IT"S GOING TO BEAT TOR or TOR HAS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT crap as I don't see a point to it. If the community shift then it shifts, if it's a big shift then its a test to see if game devs will try something to pull people back in or call it quits. But to talk about Wildstar for a bit. The "goofy" part is rather nicely done giving a sense of humor now and then but at the same time I think they try too much to make the game too "goofy" which isn't my style as it gets over played too much, others might like it but not so much myself. The quests are pretty much the basic but the evil empire group had a few that pushed me over the edge like the retrieve items with no one to fight just grabbing a book , taking pictures and walking back and forth in the same large room as the first part of your questing experience. The planets are nicely done and the "housing" is rather neat idea and having it feel like building and managing a fort is cool (gardening and so forth). The combat was a bit stiff and buggy when I played it last but heard they fixed it all and put some new stuff as well since the last time I tried the beta. Overall it's a fun game for those interested in a new world/lore and etc. For ESO since that was brought up. I enjoyed the world , felt neat to jump back into the Elder Scrolls world and play with friends but the sync of area changes as your progress through quests and the idea of getting imperial race by paying for a special addition kind of hurts it for me. The sync part annoys me the most as sometimes your doing a quest and find the area changed so quickly that you don't know if it's a bug or what, the starting part doesn't really explain about the world changing as your progress the questline, on top of it there is a small downfall as your group mates if doing the story differently then you aka different choices you will notice that your sync will change and you can't see each other only a marker in a spot where they should be at but once you leave the quest area you both can see each other...it's strange but hopefully they fixed that by now. I did buy the game and will play the free 30 days but then after I will sit it out until hopefully FTP kicks in . The PVP in that game is fun as hell and is the biggest driving point for a lot...should of just made the game a PVP MMO siege type lol that's all I see people rush for is the 3 faction PVP battle in the middle of the world. For TOR I will continue to stay, the story is awesome and the choice to go single player style or with a group is great for me as I do sometimes prefer to take my time then be rushed through stuff at someone else's pace. Also grew up with star wars and having the ability to stab someone with my lightsaber ..cough...cough....stupid Korriban Instructor...feels rather great in the end .
  3. If they add a few more planets and some more crazy tactical and so forth then I'm down with the level cap going up prefer it to be even then odd to be honest. But if they straight up bring it out without adding anything to encourage the point to increase it then yeah not really great as it will just have more people finishing things up and calling it a day. Now that I think about it isn't WOW going to be level 100 on the next expansion....I really start to wonder how fast it takes to kill Arthus now....2 swings and call it a day...or the lovely scene of 1 hit and then cut scene with your character bleeding and crying having this epic battle only to realize you just walked up to him and bashed him into the wall with 1 attack.....man how much I love maxing out my final fantasy games with mass grinding only to run into the final end game boss and get the funny cut scene of my character acting as if he had a real challenge...
  4. To OP: I find the game fun with the dialogue level as it sets everyone apart. I have played many class stories and found many things to point out 1. Class stories are played out differently when you go good or bad. Without spoiling anything I found myself playing good as a trooper and saw a lot of my story act out differently with the few comments now and then like I know you what you mean but you can't be disobeying my orders, I will deal with the effects but in the end we do the things we do so no one else has to. When I went bad and followed the orders the quest giver gave me a pat in the back but at the same time I felt so guilty for what I just did even having a few reminders of the action when I went further down the quest line. When I played the Empire I found the same thing , a few NPCs did deserve the saber in the face from time to time but I found myself wanting to go back and give them a chance and when I went with another play through I saw at the end of the story arc that things were different like someone that I killed in the dark side was there in the good side offering a few words of what I was surprise to hear as "thank you" 2. The flashpoints are sweet for the dialogue as many times I find myself wanting to open an airlock to give a few guys some fresh air but for some reason I just couldn't and when finally having a someone pull the trigger for me to see the scene , I did enjoy it but also felt like I wanted to shove the player out the airlock too for his actions. The dialogue feeling for good and bad is different for everyone like in real life some of us like being trolls and jerks while others are willing to say good morning and talk to you even though you have no clue who the hell they are. For one thing I have to give a +1 to it's bioware's idea of choice and what I love so much about TOR is that option instead of walking into a quest with no option to say " YOU SHALL FALL TO MY FEET AND BEG FOR FORGIVENESS OR TASTE MY SABER THROUGH YOUR HEART"...I love when I don't kill them and they are shocked lol
  5. I'm hoping this shows the Empire Side of things like the clone wars showed more about the clone troopers and their way of life. I would love to see how the stormtroopers are trained and how they arrive to each planet dealing with rebellion and control, I mean there is a lot the empire changes in the star wars universe once they got into power like dealing with smugglers to rebellions and so forth. I really hope it doesn't just focus on the rebel side and every episode it has a few scenes of ...oh look a imperial base ... blow it up , or free those slaves and convince the government to go against the Empire...ok we did it great now let's go to the next planet where the last scene will be Dark vader or a Imperial officer saying " Blast those rebel scum we will have our revenge" I really would love to see the Empire at these dark times because in the novels and even in the movies you see the empire hinted as both evil and good at the same time . Some planets worship their support changing the way of life to something better and you have a lot of planets that were extremely pissed off because of slavery or abusive government and of course the fact the empire looked down on aliens and treated them differently.

  7. I can't wait, then been mentioning the idea of changing the space combat when they first brought old republic online and the feedback of the "on-Rail" approach wasn't working out for anyone that it was great for the first 10 times but after it got to the point no one wanted to touch it again which was stated in a few dev talks about them looking at other ways to do space and someday with time that will come true. By the looks and sounds of it, it seems like a test to see if this is how we the community want the space to be like. I don't really see them redoing the on rail missions just yet until the PVP space combat is live and the feedback starts coming back. Reason why I think this is 1. If it works out then they will start redoing the on rail to either this system or even to a more open space feeling where everything is more connected and having the chance to get Co-op space missions where a group of your guild or friends can fly into combat together taking down those space stations and cruisers as a true fleet. 2. If it doesn't work out then not much has to be re-worked and changed yet until the PVP part is more to the community liking and works out the way it suppose to. This will prevent problems happening on both PVP and PVE which will tie up resources and of course be a headache to hear both sides crying over problems. 3. Could lead to the open space feel in the end and allow large ship combat that was suggested before as an idea and future approach to allow large capital ships be used for combat.
  8. Star Wars Return of the Jedi would be my favorite classic because of the ending battle was just epic having the death star with all it's Destroyers going all out with the last remaining rebel forces and at the same time we got a battle on the ground going all out.....but to this day I still wondering A) where the hell was that AT-AT walker B) COME ON THERE WAS A LOT OF FREAKEN STAR DESTROYERS EVEN IF THE DEATH STAR WAS DESTROYED THE REBELS WOULD STILL HAVE TO FIGHT THE REMAINING DESTROYERS.... and C) Really...beat by cute fluff teddy bears with sticks and stones ...I'm starting to wonder if wearing the armor was even worth it...might as well run around naked have a better chance of winning that fight. Then revenge of the Sith would be my next favorite just because of the story of seeing the fall of the jedi and raise of the empire is just awesome to see and the order 66 was something that I think tied everything together pretty nicely knowing that trust never truly existed and the fact the same people fighting by their side through the series would be their number 1 enemy. The only downfall I saw was the fact Vader wasn't pictured as I was made to believe when I saw the classics as a child, where it was kind of hinted that Vader was more of the murder of Jedis and went out of his way to find and destroy everyone of them which made me picture epic battles with the dark lord having these wise Jedi masters be sliced down by this one dark lord felt more epic then what was shown on the screen.
  9. I would 100% say Vader. Malgus just doesn't give me that OH **** HE"S A DARK LORD feel where as Vader just keeps giving me that feeling that he's got something up his sleeve and is truly hiding something. Also it took one person to wound Vader and he was still able to kick *** at the end where as Malgus just ...well he got beaten down by 4 randoms and shoved down a hole where yes he could be dead or alive depending if he made it off the station before it turned into space dust.
  10. Honestly I think Old republic will be around for awhile. I don't really see comparing it with other games for the one main reason which is theme based for me, yeah Wild star is sci-fi but the fact is...it isn't star wars related which doesn't really peek my interest, yeah I will likely play a bit of Wild Star when it comes out but even playing it with the beta access it not something I'm going to be OMG I HAVE TO PLAY THIS EVERYDAY...it feels more like ...been here done that feel and your back to your old MMO but again I have played my share of MMOs from WOW , EVE , RIFT and so forth and the idea on Wild Star feels more like I'm playing a funny futuristic style of WOW with player housing. Now if Star wars Galaxies or something like that comes around , having player housing and a true feel of do what you want then yeah this game is pretty much gone at that point because both MMO lovers and the star wars fans will all move out and try the new Star wars MMO which will leave this to slowly rot out. But the chances of another Star wars MMO at the moment is slim as Disney works out it's new STAR WARS structuring and figure out how to hand out rights and who gets to do what.
  11. I really can't wait for this. I hope they revamped all the space combat into this because really I hate the on rails , it's fun for the first 10x then after that you get the point of going pew pew turn here ... pew pew then do a barrel roll. For them forcing you into it, I doubt it would be shoved into the PVP list. I have the most likely feeling that it will be an option either pick Space PVP , Arena or ground when you hit the lovely PVP icon on the bottom of your screen as some players prefer ground combat then space. All I really want to know if there is the chance we can attack the large cruisers having it as a mission objective protecting your flag ship against the enemy while destroying theirs that would be epic as hell and even in the future allow players to board the ship and fight while pilots fly around.
  12. Any character you reach up to level 50 will be unlocked for all factions and classes .So if you play a Cyborg Warrior and reach level 50 then he will be usable for any classes that he wasn't avaliable before not matter what faction. If you wish to skip the long grind process you can purhcase the race in your legacy race section with Cartel Credits if you wish to spend real money to speed up the process or grab the one you really want to play as but not required just depends on you.
  13. I could see in the future changes could be done to the story line or added... More like added. They have said that they will be working on adding more to each class story and making them more longer ,adding more companions and some more improvements. When is well that is the big question. I can see in the future them allowing you to switch out companions such as getting ride of someone you hate and replacing with a new companion to join the crew. Since well every Class so far has 1 companion you will hate and want to kick out the air lock either being annoying, a jerk or just not evil or good enough for you. Either way just have to wait when they start working on the stories again. But I do agree the trooper story is nice, not finished yet either been stuck playing the Imperial Agent and wow the story is fun.
  14. It depends on how you look at it. It could be a sign of force choke but under more control, mostly dark side force users use force choke but due to their hatered it mostly intended to kill when used. Another way it could be a mind trick making the guards feel like they choking but really nothing is physically wrong. Like how obi one uses it to make 2 stormtroopers look away near the tractor beam control. They thought they heard a noise but really there was no noise to begin with just a trick in their mind. It was also used in force unleash making troopers near a ledge want to jump for freedom when you use a mind trick , you can also hear them not even scream when they jump. I also believe it was used in the novels as well to get past interesting situations.
  15. Remember about 1 million of them are likely players still waiting to get into a full server....how sad it's going to be on release day
  16. +1 Nicely put together man and will help players on trying to figure out what to do. Noticed alot are confused on what's going on and forgetting that they can pass the ball. Just read this guide and it will get you closer to passing the ball around to your teammates and scoring some goals for your team
  17. It's not level based, it's story based. I didn't get mine till level 33 almost 34. I seen some with level 31 have it as well. It's really how fast you complete your Chapter 1 story arc usally you can tell is when your Quest giver (one that contacts you alot over your ship holo), will tell you you finished your job now take a break and after that it will pop up with start your legacy name and etc. If your doing the trooper story arc I can tell you when but through pm...spoilers that I don't want to give out .
  18. You should be able to go to your legacy tab (the same tab where you pick your talents from yout talent tree), there it should have it saying click here to start your legacy or something like that. I also think it will remind you when they activate the legacy content if you haven't set up your legacy.
