  1. For me..it has to be the classes on the imperial side..bounty hunter..spy..the sith, some people just find it more fun to play the bad guy..or not have some "code" they should be following as a jedi or trooper. I like the stories better as well..more cinematic good feeling goodies 20 levels in on the SW than throughout the entire trooper story line..not even gonna mention how awesome the IA is.
  2. Oh..this again. Slicing would have killed the in-game economy before it ever started, it needed to be nerfed. Nothing was being placed on the Market because a lot of people who had slicing had zero incentive to sell any of their stuff. Slicing becomes useless after level 40, so this complaining would have come one way or another. In the end Slicing was Op..level 30's having over a million credits is not a good thing..at all..for anyone.
  3. Yeah..after getting Grav Round....Charged was immediately removed, its not faster..and it did less damage..basically for me it is Grav Round...until the debuff is stacked..the Demolition Round..and High Impact..and throw in Full Auto whenever it procs off of Grav Round.
  4. This is kind of silly. Biochem and Cybertech are much more useful than slicing, after a while slicing will be the worst skill out there..once new items to actually craft are put into the game, ones with *400 Armortech/etc. required*. Slicing is good now..but..that will change, and crafting missions are not expensive..I went from 15-41..doing missions every possible chance I had..getting all of my crafting skills up to *edited* 400..and they only time I had credit issues..were after I bought the 40k and 210k speeder training. Cybertech is especially good because..yes you can get the armor upgrade by trading in commendations..however..7 of them is a hell of alot..3 away from a good piece of gear. And usually you out level the area your in..and therefore you get weaker items. And no purples..this goes for all item mods. So goodluck being gimped slicers.
  5. Ok this is how it works. Havoc is Special Forces. Special Forces is much different, and are not outranked very often. A ensign may decide to not call him Sir..or may demand a salute..but ensigns are the bottom barrel of the military. Look at Master Chief from Halo..he is an NCO..Non Commissioned Officer..and gets called Sir plenty..its out of respect. **Edited** And a Sergeant would never get a salute..from a private..outside of special forces..even though they are still considered officers.
  6. Yes..Armoring will almost always sell..as well as droid parts..basically..I have yet to have something not sell since I started playing.
  7. Yeah I am quite saddened by this. No customization for Jaric..I had to go to Balmorra just to get the second companions customization..and M1-4X doesn't have any either..at least none that I have found. With the last two companions being a little like Jaric..in their alien way..I am concerned.
  8. ill save you the trouble: -no UI customization? go back to WoW -addons? go back to WoW -no endgame content? go back to WoW -laughable pvp? go back to WoW -dont like small instanced zones? go back to wow Seriously? This game..and no other game is tailored to your specific wants and desires. The creators didn't pause and wonder.."Oh hold on..what does Homelessflea want in an Mmo?" UI customization will be implemented..addons will be implemented...Endgame..who the hell has reached that yet? And two operations with 3 difficulty settings is a hell of alot. Pvp is being worked on..and small instanced zones makes this game better than the rest. Don't go back to WoW..just grow up and have patience..and know that the game will get better with age.
  9. I giggled...this is simply the most solid Mmo I have played to date..give it more than 2 days before crying that the game is going to fail...what comes in the box is not going to be what we see 1 year from now. The story, combat and basically everything is sustaining the game for me..and I bet a couple hundred thousand others too.
  10. Because then no one would use other crystals..if it leveled with you, it will still last a good 20ish levels..but like many things it simply becomes useless... Personally I think its ugly as hell.
  11. Even so..those are simply higher level gathering missions for your companions..not for you.
  12. I agree..hope its added in shortly..however small a feature it is.
  13. The games economy will fix itself...just like real economies do...it won't stay the same it will simply influx and decline every now and then. Blaming Bioware is like blaming Obama. Dumb.
  14. I don't think the ladies have anything to fear from these guys....at all.... But since last I heard server firsts were not in this game..I think it is even more trivial then before.
  15. August 27th here...maybe tomorrow..but with any luck it will be late today.
  16. This is just silly. Yes names are important..but they are not that important. Just because you can't be named..Priest..or..Dohvahkin..or something..doesn't mean you cant ..idk...find an original name.
  17. They can handle that many people. The servers are not completely opened and can be expanded. But they want only a set number in..so they can observe tonight just how the servers will hold up without crashing. Look at the server list..and see how many "full" servers there are. Those puppies haven't even been opened fully yet. Bioware can handle the numbers...but they want to keep the first few days contained.
  18. Yeah..you were obviously not at WoW launch. And wall of text guy..quoting other people. The very fact that in that wall of text..you stated that the Early Access should have been separated by Ce...DDE..and Normal editions of the game, is in itself hypocritical of the very point you trying to make. You would rather have them limit the amount of people allowed into early access even more than they have? This is very much a server stability test. Some people seem unable to grasp exactly how it works, so I will explain. You have..lets say..10,000 people on the first day..on one server. They can then look at their server and go.."Oooh..this is server is suffering from (lag..disconnects..etc.)" They then use this algorithm thing to find out how the servers would deal with..lets say...30,000 people. They wait all night..and take down notes..they make sure that the server can last without needing to be shut down..or without collapsing on itself. Doesn't this make more sense than starting off with..30,000 people on a server and risking a collapse..never being able to figure out what exactly the maximum threshold really was? WoW had the worst launch in history..because they underestimated just how many people played..and how long those people played..and strained..their servers, until the collapsed and the game became unplayable for weeks.
  19. Yes..it is sad. People from the ages of 16-28 expect everything instantly..they have forgotten or never learned how to wait, or how to show patience. Self entitlement runs rampant, and everyone scratches and claws and cries when things don't go as planned.
  20. By the time their first expansion launches they will have had a years experience with their servers...they will know what they can handle and what they can not..and they will adjust accordingly. Nothing is worse than getting into a game..on launch..and having the servers collapse, only to stop you from getting a chance to play for 2 - 3 days. Crawl. Walk. Run. By expansion time they will be sprinting.
  21. Because they have a schedule..a quota...a certain amount of people they want in on the first day. So that they can see how their servers handle them. Probably a nice solid number..then they can use that math thing to find out just how their servers will deal with 1.5-3 million people. The fact that they added another wave..more than they intended..is a very good sign, tomorrow will more than likely have at least a dozen waves..bigger ones than these..at least that is how I see it.
  22. They had a great launch..they exceeded their quota by adding the additional wave of people. July may have only been a few days..but it was one of their biggest months, and they knocked a big chunk out of it. October will be just as busy..but by then they will have increased the cap on servers and added a bunch more. They want to see how stable they can be..and about now those servers are getting more and more people getting back from work and school..should know by tomorrow if this was successful or not. I am betting on successful.
