  1. Shameless self bump, I can't be the only one annoyed with how the system is now ^^
  2. It is my profound belief that the vendor system in this game could be handled in a better way.I cannot help to be frustrated at clicking my way through pages upon pages of differerent gear types. For warrior alone it is three different types of sets per trader. (Heavy DPS and Tank, Medium DPS) Add to this a second type of currency system for the PVE1.2 traders (columi) you get a grand total of 6 armor sets, for one trader. While it isnt necessarily game breaking in any way, it is still a bit of a nuiciance. SWTOR has a tabbing system for abilities (press P any time), seperating the different types of abilities (Vehicles, companion, base class, adv class, General) After 1.2 this Interface became very sleek, pretty and comprehensive. My reccomendation is that vendors copy this interface. For a PvE vendor it would look like this Tionese PvE gear -> Three tabs with War leader, Vindicator, Marauder Set -> which then leads to the different gear available, but this time only shows you the gear from that specific set, eliminating 60+ gear per page down to 15, all within the same set. This could also be applied to stim vendors Stim Vendor -> Stims, Adrenals, medkits -> the different stuff And to the Crafting vendors as well Crafting Vendors -> Biochem, Armstech, Artifice -> The different stuff needed I believe this would help remove unclarity, and to be honest the rather messy way the gear vendor system is handled so far. By introducing multiple tabs you could also eliminate the need for multiple vendors for the same tier of gear, by making a "Galactic conflicts vendor" with a tab for Tionese, Columi and Rakata. Then a Black Hole vendor and heavens know what the T3 guy would be called: "Return of the vengeful Womp Rats or something." Please comment with further suggestions or refinements upon this idea.
  3. I tried experimenting a bit with mine, leaving the most around the edges, I usually dont inspect most of my abilities due to the mass of hotkeys, but the abilities that I do often use have been getting more centerspace and scaling, (basically the O SHI!) buttons, while the convinience and seldom use buttons have been getting very small scaling, I also placed all actions on the left, and made a massive target, targets target etc on the right. Also added the "behind the scenes stuff" Basically it is very different from the standard UI, but I have been running a couple of HC's with it and I am very, very statisfied. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/259/screenshot2012041305353.jpg/ And behind the scenes http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/703/screenshot2012041305410.jpg/
  4. I experimented a bit with mine, which ended up as shuffling the whole thing around quite vigorously. But this is what I ended up with. http://imageshack.us/f/259/screenshot2012041305353.jpg/ I may end up juggling the size, and locations of my buttons, but all in all I am pretty statisfied with the way I have moved all of them around, adding a second picture for how the UI looks while editing http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/703/screenshot2012041305410.jpg/
  5. Put it there brah, This game is the reason I completely lost my sleep schedule over the last few weeks. As long as I am having fun with my friends, I'll be here, and I believe I will for a long long time.
  6. That they exist basically. They just dont like the idea about them, but if you dont want them they are easy to dismiss, or keep on some mission or another. People complain about ability lag, even though I can't say much about it. Yes, it exists, but I've never felt that I've died because of it, when the abiltiy is activated the damage hits, whether or not the animation occurs. People complain over lack of PvP brackets, which is actually legit. Even though it seems like there is some system in place here, it clearly isnt good enough. LVL 11's with hardly any abilties are no match for a 50 in full PVP gear, with all abilities and all talents. People complain about the clunky GTM interface, again agreeable, but hardly game breaking. People complain about the worlds not being open enough, but then again, anyone who's been to alderaan, Belsavis or Hoth would rather disagree People complain that the leveling is too fast, even though that hardly matters really. People complain about the lack of a "looking for dungeon" tool, even though those things usually just mean a lack of server hospitality, and world feel. That the current system is lacking, is indeed true, but to be honest, nothing kills a server community like a LFD tool People complain over the phasing of some group quests, but that is actually halfway a blessing, as anyone who stacks up to kill the same one mob can tell you, to be honest, the phasing areas are usually really small. People complain about the republic/empire population, while unwilling to join the other faction People complain about lack of endgame content, and I wonder how many people have cleared both raids in the ten days the game has been out. People complain about the storydriven gameplay.. which is just.. weird... I mean, its the game's main feature? People complain about anything really, there are some legitimate complaints, like the lack of PvP brackets, (todays system would be fine with four brackets really) and the slight abilty delay (but its not as bad as say DCUO, LotRO's or AoC's). But most are just from a lack of familiarity. The game is fun though, and a slight newborn. As long as I am having fun, I'll keep playing, and I dont see that coming to a stop soon.
  7. Well to be honest, the starting planets are kinda railroaded. Balmorra and Nar Shaddah are... pretty straight. But Alderaan, Hoth, Tattoine, Taris, Ilum.. The game starts out as linearish, with explorable options (droid factory on Balmorra for one) and this goes in term with the story line as well, once you gain access to your ship, your options open up, and the galaxy grows. The start is linear, and I was getting a bit sick of it. Until Tatooine...
  8. Actually, no. I am not going to cancel. I am going to be a happy cat and level my three cute alts. Sorry that you didn't like the game. Many features had been advertised far in front, and to be honest, none of the bugs are game breaking, just slight annoyances. Have fun elsewhere though.
  9. Bioware I just wanted to thank you for removing the 2H queue by increasing the server capacity by almost 2000 players when I logged on at 1PM GMT +1 today. Bloodworthy now has no queue at all. I love you. Thank you
  10. Oh my, civilized people! I hardly knew there were more. What people tend to forget is that the game isn't out yet, and the pre-launch is in place to keep server stress down to a minimum: the smoother the servers keep up the more people they let in. The thing they were promised were up to 7 days based on how early they preordered. To be honest I dont want my starting area to be crashed or filled up with 900 000 people day 1, I understand people are exited, I am myself, but the amount of RAGE on these forums are completely ridiculous. So what will you guys be doing today? Myself I made ginger bread cookies for the season, as i know that will be impossible from the 20th and outwards
  11. Mate, the preorder code does not entitle you to the special items, if that was the case most people would preorder the CE and then just pick up a standard edition at launch. You have to put in the CD key from your actual physical (or digital) finalized product (that showed that you paid for that actual copy) in order to actually claim those items. So to put in in a tl;dr; The code you put in in order to get early access and other launch bonuses: Preorder code The code you need to put in in order to get your special items: The final codes from the launch product.
