  1. you mad bro? I really dont hate artifice, I just think that armormech and synthweaving should be able to craft armoring, and in exchange cyber can have the niche of modifying equipment that other professions craft, which would be mods, enhancements, and augments. I dont particularly care as long as armormech and synth get armoring and cyber gets a fair return so there isnt a counternerf to the other professions.
  2. Couldnt enhancements be moved from Artifice to Cybertech? It really doesnt take a lot of utility away from Artifice (where it seems kind of tacked on) and gives Cybertech a niche of modifying equipment. Also, I wouldnt put ship armor in the category of vanity items seeing as how they actually improve your ship (and not graphically, which is the definition of a vanity item)
  3. Considering that I only made one, I think you missed my point. Plus, I can for the most part craft equal/better equipment than quest rewards on my vanguard armormech.
  4. MIND BLOWN.You know who likes augments? Crafters. Whenever I crit on armor that I'm using, I either switch out an existing augment or look to buy an augment from the GTN. This by the way, is something that I dont think can be bought for commendations (at least, I havent seen them.)
  5. which I have made exactly one of since they are worthless w/o armoring in them and in some cases cant be equipped on companions.
  6. which are worthless w/o armoring and the relevant mods/enhancements. I happen to like crafting in TOR, but I dont think its a huge stretch to let synths and armormechs outfit their orange armor. Even if they took armoring w/o giving cyber anything it wont do anything to the profession due to ship parts, droid parts, and grenades. I wouldnt even care if they let cyber and armor/synth have armoring just let armor/synth do what their counterparts can do.
  7. Most of the stuff you craft in armormech isnt fantastic at first, but if you can proc the more advanced versions of the stuff you craft, you can wind up with steller gear, you can equp your companions, and even at endgame you can send it to your alts on that server or sell it. I'm hoping they give crafting some love, and at some point they probably will. Until then, I'll continue to level my armormech
  8. The Jedi Order knew that the capacity to fall to the dark side was always present, as well as the fact that historically, the Sith Empire always attacked without warning. So even when you dont need a large standing army and have Jedi serving as peacekeepers, events like the Mandalorian wars and the Jedi Civil War are always possible. So even though the Sith were assumed destroyed, they would obviously come back (as they did) but the Republic was so unprepared for this eventuality that they essentially had to use a slave army created overnight b/c there were no citizens serving as soldiers for the most part. This is what I find confusing; the sith were going to be back and rampage the galaxy, and the Masters had to know it, but they did nothing to prepare for it.
  9. As I'm currently playing through SWTOR as a Vanguard and reading the Republic Commando books I've started to wonder why it is that the Republic thinks that the Sith are completely defeated, let their army deteriorate, and are shocked when the Sith return (again). This goes on for the 25,000 yrs of the Republic until it finally falls to Palpatine. In the case of the Clone Wars, the books explicitly state that the GAR is almost entirely clones, with very few volunteers. How does no one in the Senate see the need for a strong standing army, particularly near the end of the Old Republic when Bethany Wessen finds out that the Clone Army came out of nowhere and previously the defense budget was negligible? The first few times are understandable, but this literally happens every few centuries for 25,000 yrs. How is this a surprise every time?
  10. As in the Mereel, the Null ARC from Republic Commando? My Vanguard is named Mer'ika, which is SKirata's nickname for him. My legacy will probably be Skirata so I can have a BH named Kal SKirata
  11. So I found an orange Sith robe schematic today from UT, and put it on the GTN for 1500 credits. When I went back to the GTN to buy armortech schematics, I noticed some good schematics selling for 400 credits and less, some of which I bought. What I would like to know is, what are some good rules of thumb for selling schematics at a fair price to both seller and buyer?
