So the game shut down at 12 midnight last night and said that the game would be down a grand total of four hours. I guess now they need damn near tweny four hours to fix what ever it is they messed up.
Honestly though, twenty four hours ?

you are now REQUIRED to earn at least 3 MEDALS to get any rewards. It says it on the Medal tooltips when you hover over them. You get rewards just fine for losing, but not if you didn't contribute at least 3 medals worth of help.
Oh, that must be why, I joined late on both of them. Thank you.

I hope this is just a bad joke, or something that can be fixed fast. I have lost like 2 WZ's out of the ten I've played and have not gotten any credits, xp, or valor for losing.

I agree. I am simply trying to make a point that comments like those aren't helpful, and can only have a negative effect on the game.
And no, I don't think players voicing their opinions on the forum means the game is doing bad. I do however think there are some critical problems BW needs to fix or it might go south faster then you think. Server population being one of them.
Server population is only an issue because they vastly over thought how many players they were going to pull in at start with the amount of content they had. Anyways, having spent as much as they did on the building and release of this game they moest likely have a very strict budget and akward time line to work on this stuff. Honestly, for what they have gotten done in four months with the staff they have alotted to this project I think they have done a satisfactory job. Now when 1.2 is out and finished they need to start releasing stuff on the regular, if they keep trying to do these big patches and not add anything inbetween then this game will surely die.

You've never played an MMO where the dev's said they were going to do one thing and then did another ?
I feel sorry for you bud, I'm not saying it's going to happen, It's a possibility. Even if they said they're not going to at this point in time.
Why keep servers open when they cost money and no ones playing on them, either shut them down or merge them.

Merging servers is a horrible idea. Which one gets absorbed by the other? What do you do with toons with the same name? Or with legacies of the same name? Which one gets to keep their name? What if one server is a PvE and the other is PvP? What if one is european and one west coast?
The only thing they will do is offer transfers and shut servers down if it comes to that.
No mergers.

Are you complaining that there are to many complainers?
In time you will regret telling people to unsubscribe, because SWTOR will reach a low enough player base that BW will pull away from the game. It will get sold to some no name company that will make it F2P, and you will be stuck playing the same content forever because no updates are being created.
Which happens to virtually every MMO, which is a unavoidable. That being said, it doesn't mean that it's going to happen any time soon with this game. Just because people are whining does not mean the game is doing bad. It just means people are crying and need to have their entitled hands held all the time. This stuff still happens in WoW and that game is still very much alive.

Try reading what I said.
They said they are not going to do server merges.
The transfers they are going to do first are for the new asian servers.
Sometime down the line they will offer transfers for everyone else.
Yeah, we'll see. Every MMO I've played besides WOW has had server merges and thats that.

The game is supposed to be what MY idea of it is, not what would please everyone equally! MY class is supposed to be the best. MY method of gameplay is superior. MY way of having fun is better, and should be promoted.
For sure, that's all it ever is, hence why most forums are ****. The sad thing is this game is doing just fine and people would just like to have you believe it's not. I try not to come on the forums for this very reason -_-

1- they said they won't be doing server merges
2- the transfers they are going to do soon are for the asian servers
3- they said transfers for everyone will be sometime in the future
That's not even something I'm going to accept. Server merges will happen, If this game doesn't start bringing in a lot more players. Secondly, they're not going to just have transfers for one demographic of players, that's just stupidity at it's finest. If it's not with this patch it will be shortly after.

I'm pretty sure server merges and transfers were already being talked about and I'm quite sure I heard server transfers were being implemented with 1.2, could be wrong though.
Either way, young game is young. You expect them to just roll out **** left and right. I hope this patch is palyed out well, I'm not going to quit though if it has issues. The game is four freaking months old and you expect it to be rolling out **** like WoW does.

Because they probably haven't uploaded the patch to the server yet. I bet you that part of this down time is being used for maintenace before they upload the patch. It's better to fix a few issues and then load the patch then to have a million issues and then upload the patch which has potential to create more.

I totally agree with you, given the size of their staff and the outlook they have for this game they have been doing a great job with keeping up. I have played many MMO's that were in a way worse of state withing 4 months of launch. Ignore the negativity, someone always has to cry about something.

Mines was when i joined a PVP warzone, saw that it wasn't bracketed and logged off.

I have a question for all you whiners and complainers..., when the level 50s are in their own brackets and you are still losing at instanced PVP are you going to come here complaining to BW that they need to bracket everyone between 20s and 40s because of how they did the itemization?
Face it, people who do not excel at PVP, but want to try anyway are still going to cry about something not being fair or balanced, but they won't have the level 50s to kick around and blame. People need to understand that hey maybe they aren't as good as they think they are and either need to just enjoy the storied content or get over it and just play the game.

You're right, they're killing it by making me laugh so hard I can barely concentrate. So many 50's are so terrible that the tears of laughter in my eyes make it difficult at times to beat them 1v2. But I usually pull through.
I don't know if that's an honest statement or you just being a troll. I could see that though if you are near them in level.

Seriously. Stop QQing and go level to 50. If you lack the ability to level to 50 you do not belong in the MMORPG community.
Getting to 50(Level Cap) is a Prerequisite TO EVERY MMO IN EXISTANCE.
You do not try to endgame without it.
Stop being bad.

Stop waiting for nerfs/balance when you do not even meet the requirements to play. You can get 50 yourself. Get gear yourself and balance the game yourself.

I work six days out of the seven days a week and I'm not going to spend my one day off playing Star Wars all day.
I play at least 3 hours a day maybe four and that's it. I know for a fact leveling slows down after 30 and I'm not about to sit here and play eight hours a day like you.
So champ, tell me how do I get to 50 without being a complete low life nerd like yourself.

I hear you, I don't what to say man. The PVP system in this game is broken right now, I know exactly how to play my class and the arguments they are making here are totally invalid. I'm not going to be able to kill someone who's hitting me for 2k base and 5k crits, just will not happen.
These kids that are already level 50 are kids who are still in school and have all the time in the world to play, probably have no jobs, no life and nothing else to do with their free time.
