  1. You said it wasn't fraud at all. You still haven't asked exactly what he did. I said that. I also said he also did it in swtor chat. Just gonna pretend you didn't read that part? pretend that this is YOU informing ME of that? He neither impersonated nor defrauded me. Is that not completely clear? No it won't. It'll get you and ISP. then it's contacting his provider etc. Not something that can be done by anyone other than law enforcement. except hackers, employees, some others no doubt. All those people are not me. I *********** hate cops. They will kick in your door, shoot your dog, take your kids and throw you in a cage for playing poker. To do that you have to be as morally bankrupt as this scammer ******e. Mebbe more. Also, they'd laugh at me. They don't care about this ****. It doesn't make them money. AND, I don't necessarily want this guy's mother shot by a incompetent *********** pig. Never call the cops if you don't want someone shot and killed by and incompetent pig. apologies. Worse etiquette than cutting it all up and fixing it while you're replying to a post that no longer exists as it did when you hit reply? I made a mistake and thought it better to NOT fix it. None of this changes the fact that every single word I have said in this thread is 100% accurate to the best of my ability. (exceot the part of the impersonatee being from California... maybe ... so far I haven't broken anyone's anonymity and will try to keep it that way)
  2. Someone else posted a legal definition of fraud which included the words "legal injury" I then posted a legal definition of the term "legal injury". It's already there on the thread. I'm not going to post it again. I will ask the question for a second time. Are you telling me the guy who gave away his entire guild bank didn't suffer damage to his reputation and/or dignity? you also ignored completely the California state law that prohibits impersonating people on electronic media. You just pretended like that didn't exist? Why don't you read the thread and join the conversation? I am quite certain the legal team knows laws are being broken. I don't know if the guy actually posted here and said what he told me which would make BIG difference to bioware's legal culpability. But... why would I let them figure out if it's illegal? I'm a smart guy. I can do my own thinking AND I was actually there in guild chat and the vent channel. I know exactly what he said and who he claimed to be and who he claimed to be when he was busted about his first claim. I know all that and Bioware doesn't. So why would I have them tell me what it means? Who are you? Why do you hate facts? You never even asked me exactly what happened, what he said. You never even asked, yet you already know it's not a crime. How could you possibly? You clearly came here with a conclusion already and aren't bothering to intake new information. I know exactly what he said and who he claimed to be and who he claimed to be when he was busted about his first claim. I know all that and Bioware doesn't. So why would I have them tell me what it means? Who are you? Why do you hate facts? regardless of what bioware decides is the law. They can be very certain it will not be enforced the same way I can tell you I am smoking a big joint right now and have a 1/4 lb in my desk w/o any fear whatsoever that cops will kick in my door. So why would they do anything at all? If he did post those things here they would have to ban him so as not to be complicit and perhaps turn his information over to authorities. and let me make thie EXTREMELY CLEAR, they would do that not for stealing stabs but for impersonating someone else and committing fraud.. If he didn't than they have nothing and can do nothing. Doesn't change the facts of the situation. It IS Fraud. It IS illegal. Anything who says otherwise doesn't know what's going on or is not qualified to tie their shoes. OR... is a shill. Are you a shill?
  3. 4. You don't pay much attention do you? this conversation passed the idea of stabs being stolen property a long time ago. I was gong to clarify further but... Did you even read the post you quoted? A person needn't steal something to commit fraud. A person needn't help a person steal something to commit fraud. This has nothing at all to do with anything being stolen. and even if you refute what I didn't say in big red letters I still didn't say it. I am 100% sure that this person has committed fraud as defined by law. I am 50% sure that bragged about it on this forum and the mods deleted that post (he told me he did. I don't entirely trust him). And I am 99% sure that no legal action will ever come of it. The fact remains it IS a felony and continuing to facilitate his actions knowing what his intentions are is also a felony. (that's a period at the end of that sentence) I'm having a hard time understanding why you posted anything at all. Why are you talking about theft as if that was my position? I'm talking about fraud. Fraud is not theft. Fraud is unrelated to theft the same way murder is unrelated to theft and also painting toenails = unrelated. You could also toss the fraud argument and just go with impersonating. If for no other reason than this, his actions are criminal. There is no suspension of law in game. It's illegal to do on twitter, it's illegal to do over the phone, it's illegal to in writing and with no additional laws required, it's illegal to do in a chat window. AND it's always illegal to facilitate someone who admits to you up front he intends to use your assistance for the purpose of illegal activity. this last bit of law is California state law (they have one for every state I assure you) and the person he was impersonating to me is from San Diego. W/ most of the population being on both coasts and considering the time of day he was on there is a considerable chance that both the impersonator and the impersonatee both live in California which would make the above text the exact law he's breaking (among others).
  5. Seems to me the problem with volunteer leaders is >80% of people are unqualified and those are the most likely to try to lead. I always assume the guy telling me what to do is an idiot, has no idea what class I am, what the other classes in the warzone are and/or that it even matters, has a very poor understanding of strategy and most especially... I probably don't like him anyway. Here's an example: The other day the volunteer leader insisted that one is enough to defend a point and later in the warzone insisted that if the other team's point is defended by a single player any random person can be reasonably expected to solo him in enough time to cap before his friends come. If you can't hold a point alone you suck and if you can't take a point alone you also suck. How can both those things possibly be true? they can't. he's a moron and if you start telling me what to do before I have checked out the group and decided for myself, I expect you're a moron too and in addition to being a moron you're a presumptuous self-centered ******e that's going to lead this team to ruin. There are a handful of people I will listen to, they very rarely bother and who can blame them, the warzones, much like the world, are full of morons. Much better to tell everyone in the WZ what YOU are doing so that they can factor that into their own decisions. I respect people who give me information. I detest and suspect people who order me around.
  6. I have nothing written down that prevents me from stealing cars or helping others to do so but it's still illegal if I do. Which is why I'm trying to change the conversation. This guy was to be ignored by EA right up until he posted on the BBS about his intentions, that's when ignoring him became a crime in itself because they know full well he is using their subscription for crime. He bragged about it.
  7. This doesn't address someone (whom they have full knowledge of) using their service for the explicit (oh he admits it readily, just ask him in vent) purpose of defrauding people. You don't have to get money for it to be fraud, you might only get the joy of defrauding people but it's still fraud and the people who chose their own actions based on that fraud have still been defrauded. This person has admitted freely to myself and others that he intends to use the service bioware provides him with in order to commit felonies. At this point it doesn't matter who owns the stabs. It's not illegal to rent someone your car, it IS illegal to rent someone your car if they have told you they intend to use it in a crime. And he has, stated quite clearly that he intends to use the SWTOR service for the purpose of committing a crime. definition: legal injury ... Injury may include physical hurt as well as damage to reputation or dignity,... anything at all can be argued as legal injury edit: You're telling me the individuals that gave away their entire guild bank haven't had damage to their reputation or dignity?

    No More Farmers

Depending on the specific piece, augmented rakata is as good as recruit. augmented 61+ is definitely better than recruit. I have a hard time believing PVErs who farm stabs are wearing anything less than augmented rakata. Mebbe people join warzones in their tionese but those people aren't farming stabs. I don't believe these people you are complaining about exist.
  9. As opposed to silly things made up by authors... LOL THIS fiction is more accurate than THAT fiction, THAT fiction never has or will be.
  10. LOL THIS is the most ridiculous. Quit crying that you got beat up in an alley for your sneakers, you've never sparred in a gym before against a willing opponent?
  11. looking for zyphus thread. I didn't check the date but I thought it pretty strange it was first result. of course, first result was locked and redirected me to here. I came to talk about fraud today. I found what I was looking for in server specific forum.
  12. those are crass guild names. I thought there were going to be funny names here. Not trailer trash guild names. You couldn't find any that you thought were funny that didn't have to do with underage pregnancy or *** to mouth?
  13. I had a short discussion with this guy in our vent channel. Since bioware has removed threads I'm not going to bother looking for the post he claims bioware said they weren't going to do anything because he didn't break any laws. Rest assured bioware, Fraud is illegal. This guy told me he was someone that he is not so that he could get me to perform a service for him that I would not otherwise have done. (he didn't get our bank or even come close). That's fraud. It's illegal in all 50 states. End of story. Of course it's illegal. I suspect the only reason bioware isn't willing to turn his name over to authorites is because bioware is a bit of a fan of commintting fraud against their customers also. Remember 1.2 rwz... lies to get your money. Lying to get your money IS illegal. But it's the kind of crime bioware can get behind.
  14. Both. unfortunately bioware doesn't see intentional fraud as a legitimate complaint whether against it's users or itself. Fraudulently separating someone from their possessions is A-OK with Bioware. it doesn't make them very different from at least 20 percent of the people in the world. There is no avoiding interacting with such organizations or individuals, but be aware. anything they say to get your money can be assumed to be only that, whatever it is they needed to say to get your money and not necessarily any form of truth.
  15. Usually "Because your bad" means: "it is obvious that a thorough explanation would require a lot of time explaining fundamentals and I either don't understand them well enough myself to articulate them properly or don't want to or don't think it would help you if I did. Also, I can not properly use a contraction and am not 100% sure what that word means, and I enjoy being mean to people." I can't explain why someone in that situation would bother saying anything at all, unless they simply enjoy being mean to people. I usually just think it.
  16. Is it just me or are these all useless for wearing since recruit gear is now free? Is the Ardent Blade set and other World Boss drops really meant to be good for it's cosmetics only? And the lvl 49 purple enhancements/mods/armor you get as daily heroic rewards are just for the vendor? Is that intentional? Should I vendor the complete set I had made for my Sentinel and just put him in recruit gear instead? That was LOT of wasted work and Mandalorian Iron. Are there plans to make these items useful again someday?
  17. Because an assassin can single target taunt every 15 sec where a scoundrels aggro dump is only good once every 45 sec.. Also a tank's taunt works for everyone where an individual's aggro dump only applies to that individual, also there is guard, and shield, and absorption. As a scoundrel healer believe me, even if my "throw your hands up and dump loose change on the ground" button mitigated a little bit of dmg, I'd still like a tank to be my personal bodyguard, almost doubles my healing numbers the 1 in 50 warzones I get one.
  18. 4k? That's the problem? That's the hardest hit my scoundrel has and it only gets me a 5k medal 1 in 15 times. I hat that it doesn't hit a little bit harder. I really want it to crit 5k+ reliably at least once a wz. I have a sniper too. He's only level 41 but I've not yet hit a 5k on him at all. Are you suggesting there should be a class w/ a dmg tree that is incapable of the 5k medal? We're squishy. Yep, we can take half your health in two shots if they both crit, but if they don't, we're screwed, here come angry powertech w/ big guns and heavy armor who doesn't need to be stealthed to hit 5k. So scoundrel/op hits you for 4.5 out of stealth and 4.5 backblast. That's half your health. Where does your other half go? I guarantee you 100% if they open up on you w/ these two shots (and they prolly do) you can get a stun in right after and then go to work teaching him just how squishy he is. It CAN be done. It's done all the time to me.
  19. Actually, My gf left her lvl 40 Mercenary and levelled a Marauder to 50. When she went back to her Merc recently, she does twice the numbers she used to. Rolling a maurader made her a MUCH better player.
  20. This. Also, anyone else the only smuggler in their raid group? Watching consulars and troopers fight over gear while Guss and Risha outdress them all?
  21. My main is biochem. I didn't know about reusables. I just rolled a healer w/ a healer tradeskill. My alts are armstech, armormech, cybertech. 90% of the mains in my guild are also biochem, but they're spending their time lately on their alts crafting augments and orange crits... for their mains. All the tradeskills are well represented. No time to lvl an alt? only needs to be lvl 10 to be 400 whatever you want. It would be great to be able to sell reusables even if they required 5-10 times the mats they do now. I have a LOT of reusable schematics that are useless to me, about 2 weeks after I stopped focusing on RE and started selling them for profit they got nerfed. It would be nice to recoup my investment.
  22. I don't even understand what one is supposed to conclude about this topic from that sentence but.... "Society" is not a real thing. You can't touch it or talk to it. How can it have a duty? That's complete nonsense. No one has a duty to anyone or anything else they did not voluntarily agree to. It is an extremely hostile and unfriendly act to go around informing people of their duty that never agreed to as if you or anyone else has any business treating a free individual in that manner.
  23. I worked hard to get full BM for ranked wzs. FOR RANKED WZS, so I would be on even playing field. I'm not interested in WH gear. It'll come, cuz I like to pvp. But I don't care if I have it on by start of ranked warzones, scratch that, I care, it's just too much. I did it once. Imma go level alts and run some ops. Introducing another gear grind w/o first rewarding me for the gear grind I just finished (the day before the patch) totally takes the wind out of my sails. Screw rated WZs, screw being ready for them. Oh how I regret the grinding. I knew BM would become cheap, that doesn't bother me. But I was going to have the best possible gear ON rated WZ day. AND... That less than 24 hours before the patch goes live, after lots of people resubbed announcement pisses me the hell off. Let's not point fingers at "Bioware" Bioware is a file in a cabinet, it's not a real thing, it doens't make decisions and it doesn't communicate. Who are the individuals that knew it wasn't going live but decided to string us along anyway? Those individuals are liars, thieves and frauds. I chose my actions based on what they said. If they didn't intend to manipulate my actions why did they bother giving me any information at all? But they did give information, false (I believe deliberately false) information, with a reasonable expectation that I it would cause me to make decisions that I otherwise wouldn't have. I don't expect much honesy from people. Deciept and manipulation are a way of life in business so this makes them no worse than the average person on the street but you should know Daniel Erickson, I don't trust the average person on the street, I don't trust him, I don't like him, he's probably as much a bad person as a good one, and he WILL lie, manipulate and cheat me to get what he wants from me. And so will you Daniel Erickson. Why? I'm happy to pay for what you honestly provide. You should have told the truth The moment you knew it was likely to be delayed. How long did you know before the patch? anyone's guess. More than a few hours. I f'n know that.
  24. I have a sawbones. I can not only still heal through one dps I can usually also do enough dmg to him to kill him. If all I'm trying to do is stay alive and not return fire, I can usually heal through 2 DPS, much harder if they interrupt well but that's what instants, stuns, LoS, and fake casts are for. I only played a couple of WZs yesterday but in one of them two of the top DPSers on my server spent the whole time hunting me down as I was the only healer and they died several more times than I did. I did 300k heals/80kdmg (I average 200/100 or about 300k total) saved the losing cap from happening at the last second, got the winning cap and died twice. Considering the guys I was up against I felt it was one of my best WZs ever. Sorcs got nerfed in ways that scoundrels didn't so I can't speak to that but scoundrel healers nerfed so bad to require a respec... That's ridiculous. I also sometimes go scrapper and it IS very useful for capturing points. So, you have two skill trees that are in demand for pvp. What's the problem?
