By relaunch you mean completely quit the game and restart through the launcher correct? I've done that. The only thing I haven't tried is deleting the game and reloading but I can't imagine that's a good idea on a day like today unless the client download is a completely separate server from the patches

I predownloaded the patch today through the launcher and it appeared to download fully. When logging in this evening only characters lvl 10 and lower were playable. There is a box in the upper right of the character login screen that says Quick Play Mode and has a progress bar at the bottom of it. In 45 minutes that progress has not changed from 0.00% I haven't been able to find information from a dev on why this happening just lots of rage quit and we weren't told the game was changing threads. I've seen some people saying they are in game and have even finished chapters. All I can do is start a new toon or play a very low level one. I was hoping to play level 50 with 3 friends tonight but 3/4 can't get in game. One person can but another person in their household can not. Any ideas on what is up with this or should we should just bag the game for the evening and go do something else?

If i understand it right queues are based on total server volume not logjams in the starter areas. Spacing out in waves would only have prevented queues for another day or two. The problem remains there are too many people for the amount of server space available. Frankly I'm surprised at the acceptance of q's so early on. Each subsequent mmo should strive to improve on past ones. Accepting q's as standard is odd. People grow to care about their toons. How many times should they be told to abandon those toons and start new ones on lower volume servers? How much time invested in a character is too much to just abandon and redo? I'm willing to give BW some time to fix their problems, I'm just skeptical because it would seem there is a lot of info avail on players session play times and total play times yet it seemed to be ignored. I have hope because I've had no lag yet so they should be able raise the caps on servers. This will only help if they bar new entries to full servers for a time and put new servers in place. Finally, while I believe dc'ing into a q is a step backward for a mmo and a fix should come asap, the real issue is unacceptable q times.

LOL because I REALLY want to play now and a year from I'll be bleh... But yeh I understand it's just a few days. Unfortunately I have today and tomorrow off then I got to work all weekend. Won't be able to play again heavily until Sun afternoon.

Yes, I am an idiot. I'll admit it right now. I was so looking forward to playing today. Was hoping that maybe my turn would come up in the early access bonanza. After perusing several threads I realized I probably won't be playing till this weekend Why? I purchased the game the second day of early access but I didn't redeem the code till 02 NOV... Ouch. I didn't even realize I needed to redeem a code till a friend told me I had to do that to join the guild he was forming. So... not hating on BW or anything just wishing I had been smarter and done a little more reading comprehension when I was getting my cards in order. Oh well.
