Im amazed truly amazed that they havent given any clarification to the low server population issue. It was by far the most asked question and yet nothing. I realise they have stated that server transfers will eventually arrive, but that leaves a few problems What happens if someone:
1. Doesnt want to pay/cant afford the transfer fee.
2. Is not enjoying the game anymore after levelling to 50 and finding a total lack of people wanting to do flashpoints, either because they have more gear or there isnt enough people around who want to goto a flashpoint.
My server seems pretty low population, probably not the worst, but if it wasnt for having a guild made of friends from other mmo's I would be completley at a loss for any kind of content (yes I love pvp but it doesnt take long to get fully battlemaster - esp now).
I actually have no massive reason to gripe but many others on my server do and I literally see less and less familiar names as the days go by - this cannot be good either for bioware or the consumers. People are getting bored, this is supposed to be an MMO!
For many people who had the bad luck to be on a server thats less than moderatley full they have a very hard time in experiencing the multiplayer aspect of the game. Why should they have to reroll to another server when the dearth of activity at 50 only becomes apparent at 50 when after all that effort they realise that theres nothing to do apart from the odd pvp game that takes forever to materialise?
Why not do low population server merges? Less servers = less cost for bioware and more happy customers = more money for bioware....
Please bioware understand that you are competing in a very competative market place where 90%+ of your customers will have come from other mmo's either leaving them for the same type of issues or for something new. You have to be better than the rest in the mundane issues not just the "plus points".
Qualtiy of "online life" has to be higher than the competition and atm im afraid its not. So please listen to the community on the issues you ask them about and at least provide a response when there is clearly a massive demand. This is not a "why has my class been nerfed etc" issue where you can feel confident in your own testing, this is a very real "why should they still play" moment especially after waiting a whole week for a response to their questions - they took the time to type it - after this im guessing they will think "why bother?".
