  1. Empire <Shadow Council> After a nice , long vacation during the holidays, we returned to Operations and made some significant progress tonight. Please update us to the following: Terror from Beyond: 4/5 HM 8man Edit: We took one try on the Terror and have to say we've got his number; it's going down next week.
  2. Yes, please. I would love to see both of these items plus the Steadfast 27 enhancement. Jemrich's tank would be a very happy camper. I'll hire myself out too.
  3. Hey, This is Jemrich. I'd like two commando armoring 27s please. To who do I send the supplies? Thanks in advance!
  4. There are names for OPs like this, and I'd just like to know his server and character names so I can be sure to put him on ignore. If this is a joke, then I admit, you fooled me good. If not, then... wow I'm speechless. 9 pages... wow.

  7. Imperial <Shadow Council> http://shadow-council.com/ Progress: • Eternity Vault: 5/5 (SM, HM, NM) 8man • Karagga's Palace: 5/5 (SM, HM, NM) 8man • Explosive Conflict: 4/4 (SM, HM) 8man • Terror from Beyond: 4/5 (SM) 8man
  8. When the powertech tank doesn't know how to pull a group to initiate combat, can't hold threat off the dps, uses grapple instead of jet charge, doesn't use flame sweep, and pretty much let's the sniper in the group do all the tanking. All in a Hard Mode. Thankfully the healer was very well-geared and experienced with this kind of thing (I'm assuming), so the run was kind of exciting and really funny!
  9. It's not just you. We were having the same issues tonight. We consistently hit his enrage at 12%, and that was with 4 DPS in optimized campaign gear. What was also quite unusual was how everything seemed to have more HP; the trandoshan packs took longer to kill and those calibrating shot droids took a ton more effort to destroy. Every time at 12%, the tank would get one-shot by the enrage.
  10. On the 1.4 PTS, it now appears in mission items. I had it in my bank inventory, so... interesting. However, there's no mention of it anywhere in the patch notes.
  11. Your interpretation of my post makes no sense because I didn't post a solution. All in all, the lag spikes have not been an issue and we've only hit some minor bumps that caused no harm. Even when we're the only ones in the instance, there will be minor but noticeable lag spikes. It happens, but we don't all suddenly die from them. Lately, there has been improvement, and lately we've also noticed a nice drop in the amount that are usually there. I guess that's a relief if it does correlate to lag spikes.
  12. I couldn't read your post because I was blinded. But I'd just like to say that my guild hasn't had issues with this lag for a couple of weeks now. While it was an issue about a month ago, it's become much less noticeable. We've also adjusted our operations times to avoid the masses of others in Denova.
  13. It's quite easy. Here are some tips: Watch strategy videos on Youtube, read strategy guides, bring people you know and know the strategy, don't bring tards with you, don't pug it with tards, don't pug it at all if you know what's good for you, if you do wind up pug'ing it, make sure they know the strategies (and if you have a melee, decide on how to position the fights). And lastly, I just want to emphasize that gear isn't really what matters, it's all about the mechanics.
  14. Ok, I know I shouldn't but... bump for LOLs.! That previous post is basically what I was thinking.
  15. Or in other words, if people used their brains a little more and read, they'd find this handy dandy table. http://www.swtor.com/free/features The ones unsubbing are those uneducated or misinformed about the f2p model. Or just really hate the game so bad, they leave for other reasons. The others leave for the next mainstream MMO, not satisfied with anything on the market when the content is depleted. And the rest just like to hate on something but continue to play it because they feel no other choice. There are also the incompetent ones, the ones without a strong community or friends in game, and those just impatient. Frankly, I like the change because I can subscribe and unsubscribe anytime I like and don't feel pressured if it's a quiet month. I won't be unsubbing, but I'm so glad to see so many go. It's just a shame for Bioware. Maybe the IQ will rise? Maybe those less fortunate with money will try the game out and find they really enjoy it. It's going to be an interesting change.
  16. Something like this is pretty accurate. Now you have a bunch of people freaking out about free to play, so the haters and trolls are feeding into this fear and further instigating more to leave. Where you have a bunch that don't understand free to play or how the subscription model will work means they will also leave. Honestly I'm glad those will leave though because they're the ones that probably screw up my pick up group runs. My hope is that the free to play model will encourage people to try the game and subscribe if they enjoy it to further increase population. Morons will be morons. Sorry Bioware, your community isn't all that respectful or supportive of your goals.
  17. Well considering a fair majority of the player base are erm...not so smart... I'm not surprised and rather relieved that they're leaving. I for one am very happy about the f2p change; like one other poster commented, it is a strategically significant move in the forward direction. I I anticipate many positive changes. While there was some reluctance to accept change, we will see what happens. I am staying subscribed and will continue to support Bioware's endeavors.
  18. Thank goodness another child has left the game. My two cents.
  19. Yes it does. But this is not really a temptation for me to continually fight it. While easy enough to kill, Lorrick is the goal.
  20. Here's my two cents---No. I only just recently ran Esseles for the first time ever since beta, and I absolutely loved the dialogue, the story, the action, and everything about it except for a strange bug where I fell through the floor after force leaping. If you don't like dialogue and flashpoints that are too long because of it, you should have everyone agree to spacebar. On the other hand, yes, I agree that doing Esseles for the 12th time is rather redundant when it comes to listening to the story. That is why THERE IS a spacebar option. Let those enjoy the dialogue and expect what they came for, but your suggestion pretty much goes against Bioware's goal to create an immersive, story-driven game.
  21. Because odds are if you're tanking something, you're not going to be at ranged, and if you're at ranged, you'd be doing more damage with other abilities or using rapid shots to reduce heat. Personally, I used to use Unload, situationally, found it to be no good without any accuracy, and removed it from my rotation. I find that powertechs who are using unload as part of their tanking rotation are not very successful. If it's a means to close the gap, then I guess why not, but for threat, you're way better off using a grapple, jet charge, taunt combo to start.
  22. No, if you are a Powertech tank using unload, then you are doing it all wrong. And Rapid Shots is only something to use f your heat is above 40%.
  23. Hi Welcome and Greetings (from a fellow EVE player --- were you a carebear?) If you don't want a dead server, check the transfer posts or visit your account to see where you're eligible to go (you have one choice selected by default that isn't changeable). Skill points are straightforward enough, and if you played EVE for a long enough time, you'll realize how straightforward and much more simplified this process is. It's not difficult to understand. You only gain 1 per lvl and there are no time sinks except the leveling process. Spend them on what you like--look at each of the tree. In the next patch, 1.3, you'll get to choose perks that help you level quicker in the areas you enjoy most. Leveling now can be done through missions, flashpoints, playing pvp matches, engaging in (star wars) version of space combat (an on-rails version of EVE combat at a much quicker pace). And so forth. I personally find missions (story and planet) as well as flashpoints to be the most fun and quick. (Many players here seem to come from WoW and call the missions -> quests , and Bioware uses both terms. Guilds are corporations. As a fan of science fiction, I hope to uphold proper terminology).
  24. I seriously can't believe it didn't meet your expectations. Perhaps it was an issue of advertising; everyone I showed the site did not ever hear about it beforehand but was absolutely impressed with the graphical layout and depth of detail. I thought I was having internet issues or something with your domain name, until I found this thread. Your parser was seriously the best and only one I would use regularly for threat breakdown, damage breakdown, etc. The other ones do NOT even come close to the detail of this one. Although some others have gimmicks like group sync and such that I didn't care much about, I bet TORparse code could be sold for a nice sum. I want to see it on the website again please!
