  1. So far that I see, many top end guilds like mine are wondering if there is a estimate on when Nightmare mode Explosive conflict will be released? I've heard many speculate 1.3/1.4, although I think that would be a good ways away so I am not really sure. Much thanks!
  2. According to Sithwarrior.com you'll want the new Campaign Energy/Kinetic proc trinket for sure. I would look into sithwarrior for more info on your question to make sure people are giving you the correct information.. I thought the other relic was the Campaign Power one but after looking at Spreadsheet I'm not sure.. Like I said may wanna read over sithwarriors calculations. If I find the post again I'll edit this again.
  3. Ya know I've been trying to stick with Bioware and hang on, hoping they would fix all this stuff.. But I think I've just about had it.. We have no raid usefulness, our dps is bottomed out now, and they just say its in the normal range.. The normal range they tested on the PTS WITH the BUG they just fixed you mean? Sure WAS!... Don't get me wrong, I'm in a high ranked world PVE guild and I can adjust very well to changes and put out a good amount of dps, but really why bring a BH over other classes with things that help the entire raid?..
  4. Now that I am looking at my logs closer I do see way higher damage from heatseeker before that patch and I just didnt even notice it now. The amount it is doing now does sound about right...but O m g thats a horridly low amount... I was wondering why I was so low on the charts..
  5. Was this fixed? My debuff still shows armor reduced on it, or are you looking at something else?
  6. How are you guys getting these results or did they fix this recently? I didn't catch any change but I have been busy with raid mechanics honestly... My Tracer hits for around 1500-2100 non crit and 2600ish crit, heatseeker was doing 2.5 range non crit to 4500 crit. These are non raid, non buffed, Full rakata/different mods. Maybe I am just very tired atm..
  7. (Not 100% sure if this is for only Digital DL's or not.) You can try going to My Account on top of your screen and see if it lets you DL the Client, or like I said earlier if you purchased through Origin and such use their launcher to DL it.
  8. I'd suggest a full PC reboot as well as making sure you go directly to the directory and run Launcher.exe and see if it will work. If it doesn't I would suggest Uninstalling again, rebooting, and trying again perhaps.
  9. You could also try to Torrent the DL from a somewhat SAFE source or scan it after DL as well. That would be much faster and not associated with biowares servers. (Obviously bioware will not tell you to do this as it contains a risk of getting a virus and such due to torrents. Just be smart about it please...)
  10. Lol I think I smell troll.. People have every darn right to do whatever they want regardless of your own agenda, situation, thoughts, or feelings on the matter. The OP you were referring to wasn't even in regard to HAVING the login problem.. Although, it was referring to people that MAY have that problem. I think you need to try to be abit more open minded.
  11. Lol really its beyond biowars control? I had no idea!... First off again not EVERYONE in the same.... That IS the fastest connection in the area and there is only 1 ISP. I just built a $2,000 system myself, I'm not skimping in any way.. Nor did I blame the devs for any of that. I was offering suggestions for others that had this issue if you would have read alittle more.
  12. FYI everyone's not like you or on the same connections. So you may want to take that into consideration before throwing suggestions like these out there... My home connection downloads at 300Kbs so a full DL would take a FREAKING long time. Luckily I wasn't affected.. My connection as well as MANY others as of late have Bandwidth caps added and things like this can easily push you over. in short..some connections will take all day to do this or longer, and it could cost them even more money from their internet provider.
  13. Again my posts are getting buried as well.. IF you DLED and PATCHED the game already COPY it somewhere else!! Save it for TOMORROW! If you want to Re install from disk OR DL from wherever you bought it from ie. Origin etc. You WILL have to patch from that DL up to 1.1.5. But as long as you COPIED the patched game hypothetically you can play tomorrow using the 1.2 PATCHED launcher instead.
  14. Yea I am already over my cap and if this happened to me I would have been furious.. If you install from disk like they said you HAVE to patch from that disc version up to 1.1.5, so thats a decent chunk as well. ADVICE: COPY the 1.2 PATCHED directory somewhere, THEN reinstall. This way you will have the game ready for tomorrow as well. Just tomorrow run the Launcher from the 1.2 Directory.
  15. They said that if you did DL the patch already you can play come 1.2 RELEASE(Actual release) tommorow. Logging in today WITH that patch will NOT Work.
  16. I posted a few solutions on page 6 that MAY help people.. Although it seems that many are pretty successful with if it starts DLing ctrl+alt+del and close all the Swtor files. Relaunch the game and it allowed them to play.
  17. As I said..that was basically option one..but yes if you installed already, thats a very viable option to unless you want to get on ASAP like most today..
  18. I am not an employee but I can give you my advice coming from a computer background.. Stop the Download now and either wait for them to reply or you can try to repair the launcher as well. Hopefully if you stop the launcher it shouldn't patch anything at all. If you did download the patch then odds are your kinda SOL..As far as I am aware there wont be a way to revert to last patch files if it installed already. You COULD try a repair and see but that may not help either. At this point I would suggest moving the directory somewhere else and starting a FRESH DL from swtor.com or wherever you can DL it from.. Keep in mind many peoples internet as of late has bandwidth caps recently added to them usually in the 100-200 gig range per month. So this is going to take a huge hit on that.. Which is also why I suggest moving the directory or whatnot and just DLing a different one so you don't have to Re-DL it all again tomorrow. This way you can just jump right in to playing tomorrow if you use the moved files launcher and such. Anyhow hope it helps someone, and I totally don't blame anyone for wanting to slap bioware for this..
  19. I'm actually curios who/how many have gotten into the PTS. I am part of one of the top 10 world guilds(according to ranking forum posts on here)and we followed the entire instructions to the letter. I am sure plenty did so from the top list of guilds and others. Although, I have yet to see anyone from those guilds really say they actually got in or anyone at all.. We figured that they would want people that are geared, push content, etc etc to try out these new raids and such fully. Keep in mind I am not trying to brag and such here, just really curios about anyone that got in, or perhaps an explanation of the process used by Bioware themselves. I am sure plenty were dissapointed to not get in, and I'm sure alot didn't even apply thinking they really wouldn't have a chance when it seems they certainly could have if they did it by some type of lotery system. Thanks everyone, GL if you did get in! (I hate you if you did, and its ALL your fault! )
  20. People are in upheaval over it due to the nerf wasn't just some flat 10%. It was nerfed per point of surge individually. This amounts to a VERY large loss of stats and diminishing return value. I'll just link some graphs to demonstrate. http://sithwarrior.com/forums/attachment.php?aid=200 http://sithwarrior.com/forums/attachment.php?aid=204 Its "sort of" good simply cause it doesn't take as much to hit the diminished curve point where it's just not worth stacking more. Although, the problem is there is no in game enhancements that give straight pwr/crit to balance it out. There is only one that has a lot lower stats on it due to it being a tank enhancement but it comes out way above the other now for sure. I believe this was the Old surge calculation: 50 + 50 * ( 1 - ( 1 - ( 0.01 / 0.5 ) )^( ( SurgeRating / max(Level,20) ) / 0.5 ) ) New calculation: 50 + 30 * ( 1 - ( 1 - ( 0.01 / 0.3 ) )^( ( SurgeRating / max(Level,20) ) / 0.11 ) ) Just looking there you can see a pretty clear large change. Credit for the graphs and calculations goes to Sithwarrior.com's Kor and Freehugs.
  21. Going to copy paste my other post I made abit ago cause I don't want to re-write it but I hope it helps. *I do NOT know as much about alacrity yet but believe it follows the same rules. Most people tend to missuse the words "Soft cap and Hard cap" nowadays.. There is no soft cap or hard cap(aside from like 100%) to "most" stats aside from like acc. being that endgame bosses are 110% acc. (This is also being tested to possibly only be 8% fyi.) Its very hard to determine which atm without combat logs as it takes a very, very long time and amount of hits on the same mob to confirm. Stats such as Crit and Surge have "DIMINISHING RETURNS" as well as I do "think" alacrity and expertise does as well, although I do not look into those 2 stats much currently so dont quote me on those two. Soft cap=After certain level of something the benefit drops to a point where you only slightly benefit from the stat. which usually leads to other stats being focused on. Hard cap=After certain level of something the benefit completely halts and you no longer receive any benefit from it. Diminishing returns= After multiple levels of a stat the benefit keeps "diminishing" the more you receive of that stat. usually resulting in switching focus to another stat that has more "weight" to it or value till they balance out. When people are mentioning the 30-35% crit range, and 80-85% surge range they usually say soft cap, when really its not entirely. This is just the range where it becomes more beneficial to start stacking a different stat vs the same one as its currently diminished in value vs the different stat. When you balance out one stat the others start to become abit more valuable again. People are currently working on accurate calculations and bugs in a spreadsheet to help with this. Meaning don't just stack crit and surge to that mark and never look at it again. Its best to keep reading info on stat weights and such till everyone figures out more information. Power on the other hand doesn't cap or have diminishing returns on it as it seems currently. Now does this mean you should only stack power? No.. Arsenal especially leans a lot on criting to vent heat etc. Sithwarrior.com is a good reference site to look thru for information and calculations if you would like proof of all this. Also, if you wish to see on your own its quite easy to take all your gear off, write down your crit/surge and use a relic and write down %. Then put only like 50-100 crit surge worth of gear on and use the same relic and note the difference the relic gave you before and after. Hope that helps someone.. p.s. Just remembered I wanted to add something else about acc... Everything other then your Rapid shots (the non-heat, lvl 1 ability you get) is a "Special attack" This means that YES unload and Rail shot are NOT based on tech accuracy, but on Special attack accuracy and both are subject to the mobs defense. (Note that both special attack acc. % and tech attack accuracy are the same atm though) Now tech. attacks are subject to the mobs resistance. Tip is to look @ champion PVP gear for mods as they are easy to obtain. This one was a reply post to another user about Soft Caps and Diminishing Returns difference. Although, it may have more info that may help someone. Hopefully it makes sense. Although, a soft cap can really be any range that they chose and while diminish"ed" return/benefit of that stat is happening it usually doesn't keep scaling like actual diminish"ing" returns does. In your explanation it does basically do that but it usually just straight out has 2 levels of capping. Where it drops to the 45ish range and where you completely gain nothing from it. Up until you hit a soft cap, you will get the full benefit from w/e stat your stacking. Meaning there's usually no lessened value/diminishing value in between the two levels. Defense rating in wow was a good example of this, although atm I am overly tired and cannot recall if Accuracy behaves in the same way as it.. A few quick links, and the wow one has an example as well. http://www.wowwiki.com/Cap http://www.wowwiki.com/Diminishing_returns Not even sure someone wrote it on swtors wiki yet honestly. GO TO SITHWARRIOR.COM FORUMS! This place has a TON of calculations, theorycrafting, and even some spreadsheets! *Not as much on Bodyguard's yet.
  22. Bumping just because I don't want to see another soft/hard cap thread so soon lol.

  24. Yes There is. Also, I can't really fully answer your original question in regards to pvp because I haven't done enough research on players accuracy levels vs PVE endgame bosses and such. Sorry for the wordy posts for nothing lol.
  25. I didn't specify you were the one using the term wrongly. Also, I would not go through the process of writing that wordy post if it was just my opinion, but I think you were referencing your opinion there. In a sense, your explanation is pretty similar. Although, a soft cap can really be any range that they chose and while diminish"ed" return/benefit of that stat is happening it usually doesn't keep scaling like actual diminish"ing" returns does.
