I actually like the changes. It's also not like in the middle of PVP I always use force smash and force moves immediately when the cooldown is up. There are too many things going on to really do that, especially when stuns, snares, etc. get in the way. Now at least with the longer buff people will have a harder time avoiding my smash crits.

Has anyone figured out how much threat backhand does? Even if we never find out, threat is really a non-factor now that we know how taunts work. It really does come down to play preference as to which spec they like better.

Not true. Taunts DO create additional threat, even when you have threat already.

yeah that has been happening to me as well.

Taunt does increase aggro, but even in immortal spec it's more than enough to keep aggro once you start mixing in taunts I can even start dancing in the middle of fights now

Just a bump, those asking for more threat need to know this.

Awesome this info is very useful! I’ve been doing that on certain fights that I used to lose agro on (without agro changing being a fight mechanic), and it’s good to know that my hunch was actually right.

I only use it if I have the extra rage to spare. It's generally not part of my normal veng "rotation."

My problem with the light side in general is that you kill your way to some guy, killing all his friends and family, then spare his life and somehow that is a light-side decision?

I think it's just more of a gear/itemization issue. I left on the surge from my rakata tanking gear, use the power rakata relics, have over 1400 str and added ravage to my tanking "rotation". Now I have no real issues at all holding threat on a boss. I even forget to backhand at times and still hold on fine If I ever get distracted from wife aggro or the TV and lose aggro I just taunt it right away
