  1. Ah thank you for that clarification! Learned something new today!
  2. I always figured cyborgs were essentially synthetic humans. I mean that's the traditional meaning I guess? That they're just machines that have human emotions, nervous systems, etc? But then, cyborgs can be Sith Warriors... So I'll conclude that cyborgs are just humans with evident cybernetic implants. This is coming from a guy who hitched a ride on a "why weren't cybernetics just cosmetic options on humans?" bandwagon.
  3. While I have no answer for the second question, Bounty Hunters are clearly hired guns. They kill, they get credits, rinse repeat. The fact that it's such a lucrative business calls for someone with a bit of cold in their blood.
  4. Oh crap, I kind of dread the inevitable influx on the 25th.
  5. Guess it's time to bite the bullet. Game wasn't supposed to launch til today anyway. Off to a new server then.
  6. Eh, can we get a fix on what servers you guys are coming from? That might help other players understand the scope of the problem. Sword of Ajunta Pall here.
  7. Now with no intention to offend those who strive to be bilingual, but there are boards for other languages here.
  8. And here I thought this thread was regarding fruit.
  9. Trust me, a certain spoileriffic (if you read certain novels) companion would more than satisfy your desire for a dark side buddy.
  10. Eh, I don't mind if people roll need on my class's blues. Honestly, it isn't as if we're being gimped in the meta. I do Flashpoints really to just get through them and commendations. Now if I were in, say, an Operation and someone rolled need on the main tank's BIS chest slot because their companion "needs" it, we're gonna have a long talk with your companion. At that point your companion shouldn't have a bizarre NEED for things that living, breathing people also need. Before then, I wouldn't sweat the small stuff.
  11. This. I've been doing it and, until they fix this issue, it's worked out just fine for me.
  12. Ord Mantell: Troopers and Smugglers Tython: Jedi Knights and Jedi Consulars Hutta: Imperial Agents and Bounty Hunters Korriban: Sith Inquisitors and Sith Warriors All classes merge upon leaving these planets for their factions' respective fleets.
  13. This is correct. But steel your heart, Lieutenant! You'll be the duracrete wall you aim to be in due time!
  14. Question: Is the damage done about the same in similarly-geared Troopers and Bounty Hunters? If the Mortar abilities along with Full-Auto deal more than the Bounty Hunter's equivalents, then perhaps there's a good reason they are the way they are.
  15. I play a Zabrak Trooper because I really liked the species as a whole. What I'm wondering is how they put on helmets. That's gotta hurt! Or at least feel uncomfortable.
  16. Ah there it is. Good call mate! I'm gonna roll a Zabrak now.
  17. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Zabrak http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_tattoo Neither of these links really say much for Iridonian society in the times of the Old Republic. So maybe the tradition thing could hold true for this timeline.
  18. The black/red markings you see on the Zabrak are Sith tattoos. It makes perfect sense from my point of view. What DOESN'T make sense is why Bounty Hunter Zabraks still bear Sith Tattoos if they've never been Sith. That's just weird and it would mean that at some point, those particular Zabrak Bounty Hunters would have been Sith.
  19. Agreed about being able to have / show emotion but not acting on it. I present Obi-Wan Kenobi's film incarnations. When Maul slew Qui-Gonn, Obi was clearly VERY P.O'd. But he didn't allow it to cloud his judgment nor muck up his fighting. A Jedi allows the Force to flow through him. That is what makes them able to go toe-to-toe with the Sith who are fueled by those emotions. Obi-Wan just seemed to be almost completely centered throughout the whole series. He yells at Anakin, laughs, makes sarcastic comments, and obviously holds very strong feelings for his Padawan. But in the end, he nearly kills Anakin, says his piece, disarms him (literally), and walks away. I don't think a Jedi could really go down the path of evil without really having a good reason to. Sure, they could muck up every now and then, but even Jolee ends up slowly becoming more Light Side if your Revan turns out that was in KOTOR 1. Another example would be Luke. He was always rebellious when it came to the dogmatic teachings that Yoda tried to cling to. But I think when Luke saved Han and Leia on Bespin, Yoda and Obi sort of shrugged and figured that they were getting old and a new age of Jedi was approaching. The only thing I think Obi-Wan did wrong was lie to Luke about Vader and then try to BS his way through it. But eh, it worked out in the end.
  20. Sorry boyo, but all that stuff sounds pretty damn sweet to me. I'm gonna be ridin' around in my STAP with my social items on, and hitting up my homies for RP night. And this is all with the Gnost Dural content and art book? Sounds good to me!
  21. Jedi should get those pantaloons that Bounty Hunters start with. Those are stylish.
