  1. A few weeks ago we pugged HM KP. My wife and I were the tanks. On arrival at the puzzle no one would admit knowing how to do it. I know the theory, but have never actually done it. The dps and healers argued over who should be moving the puzzle. I even heard one person insist the tanks should do it, which I had never read, seen, or watched before. There was a few minutes of practice before someone got bored and started the fight. There were many mistakes in solving the puzzle. Much swearing from the DPS and healers as to whose fault it was. We spent a considerable amount of time smacking the boss and doing virtually no damage. We still beat the enrage timer. Or at least the boss died with none of us dying. I'm not really sure which, my wife and I were laughing to hard at the conversations to notice the boss (there were a couple of incredible characters in this group) and trying to remember to tank swap occasionally. Oh right. A point. Skipping KP because of the puzzle is pointless. Unless the group is under-geared 50s I suppose.
  2. I'm curious. I am in a tiny guild (two I guess, one on each faction), really it's not even a guild by most standards, but it works for us. It's just me, my wife and our friend. We play for fun, do stupid things and occasionally pug something. It's a good mmo life most of the time. My curiosity comes from wondering if other people play in small guilds and what your experience is. Our experience is that we've tried bringing in other people a couple times and it just hasn't worked. We like running around with each other, we like playing together and teasing each other. It's fun. Flashpoints are easy because we can bring one of each of the trinity and pick up another dps through the group finder with ease. A few times we've gotten into arguments with the extra because we don't do things exactly their way. We played PVP for awhile, though we've kind of hit a wall there. It's not fun anymore. We've pugged operations from time to time. In fact, if there is a downside to the small group it's this. We'd like to do more operations. So overall we are happy with our tiny guild experience.
  3. Hammer Station HM. I and two of my friends queue as a tank/healer/dps group. I'm the healer. I have been playing my merc healer for awhile, but used my much better geared, but rusty sorc healer this time. The group finder dps is an extremely well geared op and looks to be in a hurry as he was off running right away. Stunning stuff and even pulling a few of the easier groups. Still things went well until the first boss. Having been healing for a long time and back on my awesome sorc I get cocky and let the debuff build awhile, then bam! I cleanse it. Ummm, Cleanse! CLEANSE!!! Oh crap. Wrong button. Tank dies. Bring him back. DPS dies. Tank dies again. Second DPS dies. I die. ****. I feel bad and apologize profusely, still I expected a huge explosion. And boy was I right. The group finder dps, "No problem, it happens." Bonus boss. I swear remember if I just stand off to the side I can heal and not get hit by the aoe. First big aoe, I'm stunned, massive damage. This pattern continues as I scramble to keep everyone healed, while all of us take the full brunt of the aoe. Here it comes. Group finder dps is going to blow up and let me have it. Deservedly. Two screwups in one flashpoint;? "We should try all stacking within your puddle, should be easier on you." No issues and no more wipes. Group finder dps said "Good group" at the end. Weirdest group finder ever!
  4. My wife uses her assassin's pull to pull pubs to her. If they are too low level she lets them go. She calls it her catch and release program.
  5. I said I was embarrassed! Honestly it was bad. There were four of them with companions. A sea of red and I rode straight into them on my speeder. Thanks everyone for the responses.
  6. PVP, world PVP, ganking whatever. Is there etiquette involved? I was running an overleveled smuggler on Voss to finish my class quests. I ran into a group of imperials a couple levels lower than I. They killed me. Highly embarrassing. I didn't cry though. I came back, stealthed and hunted a few down, going back into stealth when the imperial bat signal brought more running. Later I am running with friends on the imperial side. I see three pubs in the distance (riding single file to hide their numbers). I think, there's three of us, three of them all 55, lets get them. Turns out they were riding single file because they were not together. The battle was short. One of them cursed us. I felt bad. So yeah, that's my story. I'd like to know why I am constantly ganked and that's fine, but the rare times I go after someone I am cursed at.
  7. Three person team, Imperial side, looking for a steady 4th to join in play on Saturday and Sunday, 1 PM to 5 PM EDT. We primarily run flashpoints, dailies and operations. Our goal is to have fun. The person we are looking for will mesh with our style both in the game and on Teamspeak. Gear and Level are irrelevant. We can aid in gearing and leveling. Must be willing to DPS, if possible have alts for Tank/Healing but not necessary. Please Note: We are a small guild that plays casually. We play the game to have fun and enjoy the company of others. If you are interested and would like to speak to one or all of us, please reply, PM or in-game message me as Belenus in game. (Or Wakpa for a different person) Thanks.
  8. Battle of Ilum. I'm healer. Tank and one DPS are massively overgeared and skipping by hugging the walls and stunning everything. No big deal, except they are pushing way out ahead. I'm not the greatest skipper and slow when I manage. Just past the ice cave the two are far ahead. I pull. Other DPS comes back and helps, but I let myself die saving him. Can't be found to rez. Respawn and I'm back behind all of the stunned stuff. Will they come back? Nope. The are pushing ahead. I rage quit on myself . I don't mind skipping in a reasonable manner. I hate this crap of skipping where even a tiny misstep results in pulling.
