What was the reason why "Unify" was strictly linked to chest and not designed to let the player choose which slot to unify to? I may like the color scheme of the gloves over the chest but would still like keep the current chest model. Was this an oversight, conscious design decision, or just too complicated to implement?

I like to set up multiple windows for chat. One for general and another for parties, whispers, and such. If I get a whisper or chat in party the text will remain there until I logout or is hidden while in a cutscene. Some may think it's trivial but looking a text from over a few hours ago is kinda bothersome for me. I guess because I'm a neat freak. Is there a way to clear the chat pane of all text? Maybe also just one and not the other. Any help would be appreciated.
