  1. I actually posted this in another thread, but I thought I would offer this tip to anyone that has characters on both factions. Essentially, you can't trade or mail items/money to your cross-faction alts. There is a way to get your stuff to them though, but it's a bit risky. Take your character to the cross-faction GTN and log off. Log on to the character that has the items, and travel to the cross-faction GTN. Place your items on the GTN one at a time (yes, this is important). Set the buy-out to something very low (ie: 1 credit). Log off and quickly log back into your other character. Buy this item, and boom! You just exchanged items. I suggest you place the items on the GTN one at a time because there is the chance that someone will see it and buy it before you can. You can also do this with money, and it's less risky. Say you want to transfer 10,000 credits to your other character. Go back to the cross-faction GTN with both characters. With the character that needs the money, place a trash item (grey item) on the GTN and set the buyout to 10,000. Logout and log back in with the character with all the money. Buy the item for 10,000 credits. Boom! Money exchanged too. This is less risky because anyone in their right mind wouldn't buy trash off the GTN at high prices. Hope this helps.
  2. There's a button in your talent tree window that lets you unlearn your points. Remember though, you can unlearn skill points, but you can't unlearn your advance class.
  3. You can get around this somewhat but it's risky. Take your character to the cross-faction GTN and log off. Log on to the character that has the items, and travel to the cross-faction GTN. 4. Buy a medpack from a medical droid. Let your companion take most of the hits from the Sith. If your companion dies, that's okay. Just let him take the bulk of the fight. Finish off the Sith, and use a medpack when you get low on health. Resurrect your companion after the fight. Hope this helps.
  5. When I caught word of them letting DDE users in the VIP section, I cancelled my CE and bought the DDE. I wasn't paying $70 more for a droid, one extra vendor, and a statue. That's not why I was buying the CE.
  6. You can also click the "summon companion" button in the bottom left of your screen. If by chance they have wandered off yet are still summoned, first right click their portrait to dismiss them. Then resummon them. Hope this helps.
  7. I haven't tried sending mail messages to multiple people. Like typical e-mails, the address or names are separated either by a semicolon ( ; ) or a comma ( , ). Have you tried typing in all their names? This would be annoying, but an easy solution would be to have all their names typed in a .txt file. Then you would simply open this file, copy their names, and paste them into the "To:" field. Not sure if this works, but just an idea.
  8. If you have pre-ordered the game and entered a pre-order code in your account, you will have a color stone waiting on you whenever you log in.
  9. Have you tried running the Esseles with a group? Maybe attempt to get a group together to do the Heroic missions?
  10. Can you confirm that what I posted above does not work?
  11. I'm not certain on how the guild promotion part works. First, does your guildmate show up as the GM? If so, they should be able to transfer leadership to you either by the guild tab or by maybe a /promote command. If not, try this. In your options menu, there is a box to check that says to disable guild invites. Uncheck this. Make a new character on that same server, and it should invite you into the guild. If it still recognizes you as the GM, this character should automatically be promoted. If you don't want to be GM on this character, try promoting the character you recreated. Hope this helps.
  12. Currently there is no way to transfer key bindings between characters. This has been brought up, but since they are focused on launching the game, I see this implemented sometime soon after launch.
  13. Oh I'm sorry I misunderstood. Yes, you can enter your digital deluxe code then and it will be fine. You will have no issues.
  14. There is no auto attack. You have a basic attack that doesn't cost any energy/force/etc. You either right click to use it or hit the 1 key (default). Bioware is an action-oriented game that wants you fully immersed rather than auto attacking while you get a Mountain Dew from the kitchen.
  15. Your pre-order code does not designate if you get a collector's edition, digital deluxe, or regular. It only allows you to get Early Access. Your Product Key (either on your physical game box or by e-mail on the release date) is what gets you your collector's edition items. Be sure that when you get the Collector's Edition that you enter that Product Key. You can technically update your Digitil Deluxe key if you've already entered it, but that would pretty much waste it. Hope this helps.
  16. To add to the previous poster's comments, you get light/dark side points for the choices you make in dialogues. The choice alignments are indicated by a blue star for light side and a red triangle for dark side when you mouse over them.
  17. Here's a video of the racial social abilities.
  18. You can buy new customizations from a vendor at the Republic Fleet (Republic) or Orbital Fleet (Empire).
  19. If you have a friend who is at home and can login, get them to create a char with your name to reserve it for you. They can delete it when you get home. Just pray they don't have to leave and forget to delete that char for you
  20. I know early on you get a reward that lets you choose between 3 customizations. There are others in the game, but I am not sure if you buy them or if they are dropped/rewarded.
  21. 1. Yes, different characters can be in different guilds. 2. No.
  22. 23. The majority of the game (exceptions include warzones, flashpoints, operations, and maybe heroic quests) can be soloed.
  24. If you insist on grouping with your friends, your ONLY option would be to ask them to not vote during the dialog choices. You could start the dialog without them. You could also just quest with them until you reach an NPC, leave the group, engage in dialog, and then rejoin the group.
