The far side of fifty and aging fast while I wait for the game to re-download. Been playing since launch, and still not that good. Really do like the game though. A big fan of SWG pre CU and NGE.

As an update. Nearly 24hrs on and the game is now downloading. However, because of the constant errors and interrupts, with download speed regularly dropping to 0.5kbs - yes, seriously - from 1.4mbs in an instant, I am, 24 hours on, still only half way through the download. The constantly repeated 310 error is a real problem. I could almost wish for the days of disks from which to download at least the base game.

Many thanks for the advice and the helpful links. However, over the last two days, I have tried all of these fixes at different points. As soon as one seems to work for one problem, I find myself with another problem. So, for example, this afternoon, after the original launcher hanging for three hours, it suddenly gave me the new launcher. Progress. Now, I have the same problem I had yesterday afternoon: I'm half-way through downloading Main Assets 1, with streaming disabled, and I keep getting the "unknown error while patching". This is two days of problems, all the while my pc out of commission because I'm trying to install a game which ran perfectly until a couple days ago. One begins to wonder whether it's all worth it. Just three days ago I was able to play the game with no problems at all. Then I started having problems with the launcher not patching. There was an error code, and the advice to try again. Occasionally, I got an additional note to say that the launcher could not connect to an outside location. I tried searching for advice - and there was plenty - including advice to remove permission for bitraider. None of the advice worked. So, yesterday, I completely uninstalled SWTOR with the intention of trying to reinstall it. However, the launcher won't install at all - or so it seems. I have an old version of the launcher on my screen, the progress bar at the bottom is not showing any progress at all, though it has been running now for over two hours. If I check the size of the EA folder, that has remained unchanged also for two hours - 72.6MB. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful. Thanks

Am having the same problem now, as I write. Tried to log on three times and each time I select the toon, the log-on freezes at about one inch. I waited 30 minutes the last time and no progress.
