Unemployed, but looking for a job in the game industry.
  1. Agreed, I want to shove him out an airlock and be done with him.
  2. I play a lot of tanks, but hearing what people are saying about the PUGS I think I will stick to not doing them. I hold my own with my friends but don't need the grief of people I don't know getting on my case.
  3. There in lies the problem, the people who are doing this are people who support the game through subs. Every month (or 6 months in my case) they pay a fee to gain access to the extra stuff and the new content. Therefore we are looking as a service issue. We pay to have fun, we want to have these things and sometimes feel an overwhelming need to have them. Then they place them behind a wall that some people don't want to have anything to do with. From the look here a very large number. We are the customers, they should listen to us rather then ignoring us. It is wonderful that you can pull yourself away and say "eh, I don't need those guys so not doing it" some of us can't and we are the customers.
  4. Better yet, just ignore chat and only sit in the corner and talk to your guild, but really, I am still sticking to the completionist thing, some players feel an overwhelming need to get everything they want in a game done. It kinda hurts me to not get PvP achievements, but it is such a dull aspect of the game to me that I just try not to look at the PvP achievements section and move on, but my mission log is harder, that mission will stick there and taunt me.
  5. My only issue with this, is it would cut down a huge amount of the game, I think it would be better to just lower the requirements to the stupid recruiting. like the ones we are talking about here. as for currency being legacy wide, I would just like the have a credit slot in the legacy hold, and the rest I can live without.
  6. That is why I don't bother with FP that I am not doing with friends, because multiplayer games breed jerks. PvP breeds more jerks then PvE but they both have their bat apples. I have run into some decent people in PvP so don't think I am saying all PvPers are jerks but a large number are. Many of which I see on the forums calling the PvErs names and being disrespectful because they don't like what the PvPers like. The fact of the matter is while I don't go in to do nothing, I don't do much, and it is a grind and a awful bore. So, I suffer through it to get to my goal and never queue up again. Till I need to with another character. I also find that Raiding breeds jerks too. They want everyone to be the best of the best right away without letting them learn, or the way they let them learn is giving the new player the most boring jobs so they can't enjoy themselves. This is a observation from experience and the moment it is disproved my view will change. So I don't want anyone to take this as a personal attack because it is mostly the vocal minority that are those jerks but because they are so vocal they are the only ones heard.
  7. You should have a "Bypass Mission" option when you talk to him. So you have to go do the alert but the PvP isn't required for a warrior. I did it with my Consular to get Qyzen.
  8. 5 is even better then what I said, I could deal with 10, only good thing about this is the warzone coms I get I buy data crystals with lol
  9. I do similar, but don't call incoming because I am only half there, I just guard a node and hope the timer goes quick before I fall asleep.
  10. I think this would solve problems, but on the other hand, I haven't paid anything but I am letting things fall where they may. I would rather earn the influence and alliance ranks than go spend credits. I have better things to spend my credits on.
  11. I will lay this out straight for you. There are several types of gamers. Social gamers, Exploring gamers, Competitive gamers, Completionists gamers, and others this is just a small list. The completionists feel the need to get everything done in a mission log or in this case alerts. They feel a deep non-satisfaction if they can't do it, or feel like a failure. So, if this is put behind a wall that they do not like or desire to try then they will do as little as possible to get through the part they don't like. This is a terrible game design, and this is coming from someone who has and does love this game and most of the stuff they have done lately. This and other things that are less creative like lets have you do this that or the other that we already made to get such and such companion. It would be far better if they came up with something new rather then tacking it on an old system. I for one, did it on 2 characters and need to do it on at least a third. I will likely do it on that third with another person who hates PvP therefore bringing down the enjoyment for the PvP lovers even more. Because I am a mix of some of those, but the one thing I am not is competitive. I find competitions boring, and I want story.
  12. agreed, if they insist on putting a companion (optional or not it is a stupid idea) they should make the requirements half as much rather then the 20 because for people who hate PvP (not necessarily because they aren't good at it but it is flat out boring) 20 matches is a terrible grind and I know I almost fell asleep a few times because I was so bored on my first 2 characters who did it. I dread doing it again.
  13. This much like the PvP being forced on anyone who wants those companions to be a awful idea. It would be better if they had an alternative where you can do something that most people will enjoy more rather then forcing people to do something they don't like or don't have any interest in. While the people who love that content can do what they love and get the companion if they like. It was said in another thread, this game is a story based game, and the PvP junk has little place in it, other then for those who like it. So if they want to put something behind a wall, give us another option with a longer rout to go around the wall rather then through it.
  14. Agreed, the existence of PvP doesn't bother me but I don't like it. It is boring as all get go to me. Doesn't matter if I am winning or losing, it makes me want to crawl into bed and sleep because it is that boring. It really annoys me we who don't like PvP are now forced to PvP because we want to get all the companions. (and I have a lot of characters where eventually I want to get them all to that point.
